12181  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: interesting website for bitcoin, review ? This would be really helpful on: May 20, 2019, 11:17:10 AM
i am just a user , i went to this website today , i just like the look and feel of the website. just because of this reason i wanted to ask if anyone visited this website and what do they feel . they say live support and i talk to them , they were prompt.

Sure. You just for some reason landed up on that website at random, as I've really only seen that website here on Bitcointalk. That site doesn't have any relevant backlinks either; so there's that. Nice try though.

Re: Why are people rushing to buy the IEO at Binance?

Probably because people are hoping to get the same returns like in 2017 ICO bubble. They're basically bigger gamblers; as if bitcoin wasn't risky and volatile enough for them.
12183  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Looking for a third party services - Ledger Hardwallet on: May 20, 2019, 07:10:17 AM
You can register a PayMaya account[1] and use their virtual debit card service to order using that. You can cash in and add balance to your PayMaya account in almost any 7-Eleven stores as long as hindi offline ung kiosk nila.

12184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CBS '60 Minutes' 5/19/19 on Bitcoin. Will it cause FOMO or FUD? (Take the Poll!) on: May 20, 2019, 07:08:46 AM

It's a lot less FUD-ish than I expected though, so I see that as a positive. Tongue My standards and expectations were quite low as I was expecting clips from Warren Buffet and Jamie Dimon calling bitcoin a scam or something. Both of them not being in the video is a win for me.  Cheesy
12185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CBS '60 Minutes' 5/19/19 on Bitcoin. Will it cause FOMO or FUD? (Take the Poll!) on: May 20, 2019, 03:31:28 AM
Just watched it minutes ago. Though it was a lot better than I expected(I was expecting mostly FUD), it was still "meh". I don't think it's going to bring in significant buyers. Probably just got a few people more curious about it, but beyond that, nothing significant.
12186  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Pinoy takot paren sa crypto-investing? on: May 20, 2019, 03:08:14 AM

It's another topic. Most filipinos are lazy. Instead of trying to learn new things to improve their financial situation, mas gusto ng karamihan uminom nalang sa gabi at mag Facebook.
12187  Other / Meta / Re: Is it allowed to buy an account? on: May 20, 2019, 02:55:42 AM
Let me guess, just so you can immediately join bounty campaigns?

Buying accounts to have easy high ranks is just next level laziness. If you're personally not capable of ranking up your account yourself in a legitimate manner, I suggest you go elsewhere to earn money.
12188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is loss of bitcoin.com a setback for Bitcoin Core? on: May 19, 2019, 05:18:13 PM
As much is I dislike BCH's marketing on bitcoin.com, it's the job of the researcher to do ample of research, not just read from one site and that's it. I think it's uncommon for new people in the space to think that bitcoin.com is the "official" website of bitcoin, but 30 minutes of research would most likely immediately inform them that bitcoin has no CEO or owner.

I wonder how much that domain is though. I'm 100% sure it's very very expensive.
12189  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can explain to me in simple term what is KYC AML CFT? on: May 19, 2019, 12:23:41 AM
KYC = infringement/invasion of privacy.

AML, CFT, AIA... = excuses to rob you in a legal way.
This is another side of this regulations.
In theory they are to protect people. But when too much private data is collected from people its used in bad way often. Now almost every exchange have most private data of people and they get hacked often so vulnerable people's data are stolen.

This exactly. But like o_e_l_e_o said, this can really be abused by a business/service. Always be cautious on the business/service you're submitting your KYC/AML information to. You definitely wouldn't want to submit your personal information to a shady airdrop/ICO, as they could specifically conducting an airdrop/ICO mainly to collect personal information of people.
12190  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can explain to me in simple term what is KYC AML CFT? on: May 18, 2019, 05:57:58 PM
KYC - Know Your Customer
AML - Anti Money Laundering
CFT - Combating the Financing of Terrorism

Basically you need to submit certain identification information(IDs, proof of address, etc) to the exchanges for you to be able to transact and set up offers. Just so they can find you and lock you up if they found out that you're doing something illegal, or if you're somewhat affiliated with terrorist groups.
12191  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many sub part of bitcoin will be released like bitcoin core and bitcoincash on: May 18, 2019, 05:23:21 PM
To be honest, I hope the cryptocurrency market cap isn't flooded with coins that have the word Bitcoin in them.

Bitcoin forks is going to be inevitable. From the fact alone that Bitcoin is completely open source, and from the fact that Bitcoin is decentralized hence there will always be conflicts and different opinions within the community. We're going to see more forks as time goes on and as we move forward as a community and as a technology, whether you like it or not.
12192  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you secretive about trading currency? on: May 18, 2019, 05:09:51 PM
I try my best to make my affiliation with crypto as private as possible(trading included), though it really depends to who I'm talking to. I don't wanna get my face hit by that $5 wrench, you know? I mostly say that I trade digital assets instead. Game currencies and such. People would likely think that I still act like a kid that still has heavy interest with online games, but whatever.

They start scheming or they think "I can do that, better than you" and I suspect they want to secretly start trading too.
If you told someone and they think that way, then fuck 'em. Ignore them and do your thing. Don't get too much negativity in your way.
12193  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Lists Of Bitcoin Wallets on: May 18, 2019, 04:35:23 PM
I think bitcoin wallet has a very common to use here is Electrum and Coin.ph, para sa akin maganda silang dalawa gamitin and Electrum ay magagamit sa pag store ng savings ng Bitcoin mo and then the Coins.ph kung saan ka mag covert to cash and then cash out.
12194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facts about this "industry" on: May 18, 2019, 02:10:48 PM
Speed is taken care of as well. Lightning payments are instant. In fact, it's so fast, that the transaction in most cases confirms before the UI a second later displays that the transaction is confirmed. If that isn't a speedy payment then I don't know what is.  Cheesy

Well, true. I just don't acknowledge it that much just yet, because I really don't think it's quite ready yet, for the masses, at least. Tongue
12195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: List of all transactions in memory pool on: May 18, 2019, 11:34:04 AM
Anything that shows the actual transactions?

As Shova listed, https://www.blockchain.com/btc/unconfirmed-transactions  shows the actual transactions, as you can see that the page is actively being populated by the newest transactions being added to the mempool. What are you looking for specifically concerning transactions?
12196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facts about this "industry" on: May 18, 2019, 11:26:40 AM
That is why BTC > shitcoins, anytime

BTC is just another e-currency like any other Smiley

No. It's not. Bitcoin is ahead of every single cryptocurrency out there today in terms of almost everything, besides speed. While they're all in the category of cryptocurrencies or "e-currencies", bitcoin is in a different league.
12197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How To Accept Crypto Payments On my webite. on: May 18, 2019, 03:17:20 AM
If you mean payments for when you are selling something on your site, then yea BitPay is one option(even though I hate paying through BitPay). An alternative is BTCPay[1], though I really don't know which is better. Proceed with caution as I really haven't tried implementing either on a website myself.

If you mean for donations, then you can simply add in a wallet address and a QR code somewhere on your site.

12198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: My aunt's daughter Died and there is 13 btc in hardwear wallet on: May 18, 2019, 03:12:49 AM
They can only access the funds if:

1. They found your "aunt's daughter"'s recovery seed backup.
2. They know the pin used on the Ledger device.

Beyond that? Probably next to impossible.
12199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hacked Cryptocurrency Exchange Cryptopia Goes Into Liquidation on: May 18, 2019, 03:09:24 AM
Dex should focus on the development of their security measures that would protect the funds of their users. It has been the struggle and agony of most of the holders in Dex these days. The number of users who choose Peer to peer transaction is increasing which means they're trusting it more than decentralized exchanges.

What? You got it mixed up. The point of Decentralized Exchanges or DEXs is that they don't have control over your funds, and that YOU control your funds.

Exactly, isn't it better to control your own funds instead of trusting third-party?

In paper, yes. For security purposes. The problem is that DEXs are simply not nearly as good and as noob-friendly compared to good custodial exchanges right now. Hopefully the DEXs can catch up.
