It's stupid to rule LTC out. It has potential and it is still recovering from the 2015 chinese pump and dump were like 8 million coins were dumped.
Haha, yea I heard a lot of people complain about getting burned on that. LTC dumped so hard that a lot of people just left the coin never to come back again after they bought at top. People who were once fans of certain coins tend to become enraged after getting burned on market moves like that, so you need fresh blood on the scene for the market to do anything after. a true p2p decentralised currency should be indifferent to branding.

I have come to the conclusion that all of crypto to include bitcoin from the legal aspect is no different than MMO money.
Lets take a popular MMO such as SWG back in the day. Sony closes the company I lost all my credits... Lets say I did RMT to get this money and buy my virtual goods. Do I have a legal leg to stand on in suing sony for the return of the value of my virtual goods they took?
Lately there have been some interesting thefts in the space huge amounts of money taken. With the precedent set by Ethereum and of course amongst lesser known coins. All such thefts can simply be fixed with a hard fork returning all goods to their rightful owners. This makes the Bitcoin Foundation and developers liable in my opinion for not fixing the flaw in their software.
I think in legal terms we are in the minds of the law trading virtual goods no different than an MMO. I think anyone could stage that as a defense towards any wrong doing. I think any game manufacturer would fight such precedent... But with no definition of how to define it legally as a currency and with the unlimited amounts of variations... Who decides what is vapor, what is virtual goods, what is virtual currency. By denying one you make precedence for the other and vice versa.
My hypothesis decentralized crypto is going to die and when it does it will be quick.
Sadly over the last few years the only way for crypto to live is for centralization and regulation to control it. Which also destroys it.

They, and all of their proxies and pacs, would downvote the hell out of each other. So what happens then? Both campaigns become invisible? I think you would need edit that system to make it where people who have some arbitrarily large holding of Steem investment aren't possible to censor or something... |

if the shorts hes pointing to are indeed bitfinex naked shorting there own exchange, and it shows up on a third party chart site then surely bitfinex will have logs of these trades and who did them i dont think i believe this guy's story. and i dont believe anything posted on steem, people have a huge incentive to post anything that they think will get upvoted a lot. Ask MatTheCat if he believes Finex trades on their own exchange or not. It's an unregulated market. They can prison rape you however they want, with the exception of random bullshit having to do with handling fiat funds. |
