I am Confused with DOScoin.

I have 200k in my wallet, last i heard the wallet would not sync and you was thinking of starting POS early ?.

I could not solo mine or pool mine in that time.

I have just opened my wallet and now downloading 10k blocks  Undecided .

Huh

It's just straight up proof of stake. It was a hybrid PoW and PoS

Please dear lord don't tell me I haven't bothered to stake this coin, what a clutz ;-)

Do you see how fast those blocks are moving on proof of stake? It's crazy!

i have lots of "generated but not accepted" entrys under transactions
anything to worry about?

No shares being generated?

I really want to know what you guys think of the DoS Shares.

Give me some feedback.

1231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / [ANN] DoScoin Update thread on: August 28, 2014, 07:22:05 AM
Hello guys. I am back here to give updates. I have been quiet lately unless you've seen me on IRC or C-cex. I've been solely working on the test net which is in the alpha stages while we get rid of bugs and head into beta within the next month.

I wanted to keep you guys informed of the updates no matter the price or stage we're in. Here they are:

1) Test net is going to be based outside of the coin itself like a separate software integrated with DoScoin.

Reason: Integration will definitely take longer to figure out how we're going to add it to the blockchain when facing a DDoS attack. The block chain would stop moving during attacks which lead me to take another step in update 2:

2) Total removal of the blockchain. This will allow for anonymous transactions since there is nothing to track. It will still say you have received coins or send it out, but there are no records of the transaction. This also allows another use for the coin other than to prevent DDoS attacks.

3) DoS Shares: This allows for a new proof of stake concept: You get a share of 18.75% of gross profits. (.000000001% per coin or 10,000,000 per 1%). In the wallet interface, you will be allowed to add your Bitcoin address and DoScoin address for receiving coins.

4) Proof of Mitigation and Pay the front: There will be two different ways of protecting against attacks:

One would be a decentralized system and another a centralized system: Decentralized in which loads of servers owned by a host of people are used to mitigate attacks from the attacked server.

Someone will pay in either bitcoin or DoScoin and we will list how much bandwidth is available for protection. The price will be calculated based on average price per terabyte of bandwidth. The person who bought the service downloads the software to their server, and they're set.

The centralized system meaning I buy those backup servers and for people who want extra bandwidth, they'd pay me for it.

*Fin*

Back to the DoS Shares.

Say we make 10,000,000 in gross net that year.

You will receive .000000001% per coin of that. That would be .00010000 Satoshi per coin. Or 1,000,000 and 1k satoshi per coin or even 100,000 would be 100 satoshi per coin.

It depends on the interest of the community for this kind of thing.

This post is here for everyone asking for updates. It is a self moderated topic. All FUD and Trolling will be deleted as well as non serious and/or answered questions.

Thank you!

Rack mountable? Could I just have straight up hashing boards?

No. For one thing, our cooling system would probably blow them away. Literally.

Are you guys open enough for me to put in maybe 50 KW of hardware from a franchise?

Probably, as long as it meets our technical requirements and you pay our rates. What kind of franchise are you thinking of? MegaBigPower? I don't think their hardware meets our technical requirements.

Darn.

Was looking for one.

1236  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: (WTS) 18 HEX4M boards 400Gh+ each - $225 each ($4,050 for 7.2Th-8.6Th) on: August 27, 2014, 02:11:51 AM
I would offer $1000 for 5 boards with the coolers and I pay shipping if you are willing to split them up.

I appreciate the offer but I need to sell all of them if I am going to include the coolers. I spent right around $400 for 20 coolers.

That is my main issue with these boards...the coolers are pricey!  If you know of something cheaper to cool them or can come down some I would be interested.

I know..  0.53/GH.  What is he thinking selling something almost 1/2 as cheap as anything else out there.  (that's with 4 coolers)  If I had the money I'd buy it, and I'm desperately trying to sell some boards myself.

I thought you sold a few to bobsag?
