Hello guys. I am back here to give updates. I have been quiet lately unless you've seen me on IRC or C-cex. I've been solely working on the test net which is in the alpha stages while we get rid of bugs and head into beta within the next month.

I wanted to keep you guys informed of the updates no matter the price or stage we're in. Here they are:

1) Test net is going to be based outside of the coin itself like a separate software integrated with DoScoin.

Reason: Integration will definitely take longer to figure out how we're going to add it to the blockchain when facing a DDoS attack. The block chain would stop moving during attacks which lead me to take another step in update 2:

2) Total removal of the blockchain. This will allow for anonymous transactions since there is nothing to track. It will still say you have received coins or send it out, but there are no records of the transaction. This also allows another use for the coin other than to prevent DDoS attacks.

3) DoS Shares: This allows for a new proof of stake concept: You get a share of 18.75% of gross profits. (.000000001% per coin or 10,000,000 per 1%). In the wallet interface, you will be allowed to add your Bitcoin address and DoScoin address for receiving coins.

4) Proof of Mitigation and Pay the front: There will be two different ways of protecting against attacks:

One would be a decentralized system and another a centralized system: Decentralized in which loads of servers owned by a host of people are used to mitigate attacks from the attacked server.

Someone will pay in either bitcoin or DoScoin and we will list how much bandwidth is available for protection. The price will be calculated based on average price per terabyte of bandwidth. The person who bought the service downloads the software to their server, and they're set.

The centralized system meaning I buy those backup servers and for people who want extra bandwidth, they'd pay me for it.

*Fin*

Back to the DoS Shares.

Say we make 10,000,000 in gross net that year.

You will receive .000000001% per coin of that. That would be .00010000 Satoshi per coin. Or 1,000,000 and 1k satoshi per coin or even 100,000 would be 100 satoshi per coin.

It depends on the interest of the community for this kind of thing.

This post is here for everyone asking for updates. It is a self moderated topic. All FUD and Trolling will be deleted as well as non serious and/or answered questions.

Thank you!

First time hearing of this coin.  Is there a main thread for this coin or anywhere else I can read more about it?

First time hearing of this coin.  Is there a main thread for this coin or anywhere else I can read more about it?

this is the previous thread....https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=720001.0
In a nutshell: dev is active and seems to have a good rep.
He launched DOScoin a while ago, wanting to do a IPO/ICO (or whatever) on Bittrex for 80sat. With the btc he wanted to gather, he wanted to hire devs. This didn't succeed, also because dev did some weird sell off......he sold over 1mio doscoins. Reason for that was very strange and he regretted immediately.
In the shitstorm that followed he apoligized many times, bought back 1mio coins and compensated many bagholdes (50% extra coins).
Dev promised to come back when his plans are better organized, and there he is again!

I would be happy to see some action back in doscoin, I almost forgot that I have over 1mio useless doscoins.
Coin was dead for a few weeks, but this might be the revival of doscoin.
ultracheap now on c-cex!

No shares being generated?

both, i would say around 50% under transactions is green (mined) and 50% with a ? mark (mined, generated but not accepted)
normal behavior?

edit: i like the new pos concept you mentioned in op
