1224  Other / Politics & Society / Re: State Atheism on: August 14, 2014, 12:49:40 PM
Got curious and was checking out China's position on religion.

Came across this article on State Atheism.  Rather interesting - rather like a State Church, like was common in Europe.  And, at least by definition, not the same as a secular state.

Examples of such were/are the communist states, Revolutionary France and Revolutionary Mexico.  The article goes into detail on each such country.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/State_atheism

State atheism is the official promotion of atheism by a government, sometimes combined with active suppression of religious freedom and practice. In contrast, a secular state purports to be officially neutral in matters of religion, supporting neither religion nor irreligion. State atheism may refer to a government's anti-clericalism, which opposes religious institutional power and influence in all aspects of public and political life, including the involvement of religion in the everyday life of the citizen.

Well, surprise surprise... Atheism in it's weak form is a good thing (in my opinion). But many atheists are not a single bit 'better' or open minded than the most religious nutjobs. If you are running around and tell people that their religion is wrong and they shouldn't force their believe on others, well go figure what you're doing yourself!

+1

Depends on where you live but commonsense would tell you to stay off the autobahn unless your horse has wheels and plenty of koolade in the tank

1232  Other / Off-topic / Re: What would you do if you received 20 bitcoins? on: August 12, 2014, 05:12:51 PM
Wait for another notification telling me they want their 20 bitcoins back.Surely commonsense would ask why the hell would someone just send me 20 BTC unless I deserved it someway.

By the way if anyone wants to send me 20 BTC just let me know. There are a lot of good things I can do with that amount of money including trading it for more and send profits back to you.(I would prefer you send it to an animal shelter or person living in poverty or despair though)

Seriously though who is going to just send you something for nothing?

Well I wouldn't say copycat Hugh hahaa. Maybe call me Digital Hugh Hef.  Anyhow, yes were going to need more developers and truthful honest people to reestablish this coin.  I myself am no programmer and I wish I could do more to contribute.  I have a lot of great ideas to move it forward but the development of the program extension to xbc that I have in mind needs the pragmatic work to be hashed out.  Once we get a strong team again(which I'm willing to wait patiently for until it comes to pass) I wish to relate the program Azor,Cryptoyoda and myself have planned.  Its a pretty big vision but....its simple and actually will make a true economy out of XBC/BTC.

Any chance of giving us an idea of what these plans are?Is Citibank going to invest or take us over or maybe ebay or google..what are we looking at here?Online banks and an e-banking protocol on top of Bitcoin ??Let's trash out some ideas here.

Buy support should be given to sustain the value of this coin.Where are the original IPO funds belonging to the coin?

Original dev left the coin 3 months ago with all the funds from IPO

And yet he is still doing the same thing with other coins to this day?Have you contacted him demanding the funds to be returned to the new dev team?I agree with others in thinking he is probably the same guy using multiple accounts.

BECAUSE WE LOVE XBC.  FEAR NOT MY BRETHREN WE WILL OVERCOME ALL OF THIS NEGATIVITY.  THE COIN WILL NOT DIE, MINDFOX IS TAKING CARE OF THE COIN AND IT WILL LAST LONGER THAN MOST ON POLONIEX.  THINGS DON'T HAPPEN OVERNIGHT AND I WISH TO THANK ALL FOR STICKIN IN THERE.  MOST PEOPLE ON HERE FORGET HOW LONG IT TOOK FOR BITCOIN TO EVEN GAIN ANY PROSPEROUS GAIN AND YOU WANT XBC TO BE 500 BTC EACH???!!! ME TOO BUT HEY........WE GOTTA START SOMEWHERE AND ALL I KNOW IS I'LL BE ABLE TO BUY ALOT OF XBC NOW AND CAN'T WAIT FOR IT TO GO BACK UP. BOO YAH.  DON'T TEMPT ME ON MAKING MORE ADVERTS. CHUP.

GROUNBEEF AND XBC FOR LIFE.

If you are going to make anymore adverts then make an advert asking for the money back that was taken from XBC by "xbcplus & co".Maybe you could make up a few "WANTED" adverts.

1239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Potential Markets de-listed from Bittrex on Friday, July 25th on: August 03, 2014, 07:47:40 PM
I have gotten a reply about what happened to digital commerce from one of the developers and i asked them to come here and speak up about it. Please do not delist Digital Commerce.

Digital commerce is live on Bittrex
"This market is in danger of de-listing due to low trade volume and lack of user interest."

With a warning notice like that over the trading box I am not surprised there is a "lack of user interest".Well my coins will sit on Bittrex because I don't have a link to a working wallet.I have messaged the devs and got no response so unless a working link to a fully compiled wallet is made available then Bittrex can look after my coins.I bought my coins there from the IPO.
I dont really know of any way to prove to you that its not tampered with, but this is the executable thats in my dcom folder. Hell if i knew anything about programming i would try to do a community takeover of it.

Thanks CommanderVenus...the reality is that we should not have to be thinking about taking over this coin.IPO funds were raised for this coins development and to sustain its value.IPO funds cannot be missappropriated for other uses. The coin was represented in the OP for IPO purchasers with goals and plans and sold to buyers under this presentation.Any member of the "team" who has neglected/abandoned their responsibilities would be required by law to return those IPO funds to either the community or new development team.

It is NOT our responsibility as investors to takeover this coin.It is the responsibility of those who presented their plan to either execute it to an acceptable level of progressive sustainability or resign their position and return witheld funds less accountable approved spending to the entity.

This coins status has not been confirmed by the current "team" however their silence has caused considerable levels of distress among investors who have through such a lack of sufficient communication either sold their holdings at a "catastrophic" loss or still hold in negative equity and the responsibility for this situation lies solely with this "team" and their actions/inactions.

You said it brother. I feel that Bittrex should also be involved in the return of the IPO to the investors, at least if they plan on delisting the coin. At least Bittrex could get in contact with KreativeKrypto, who apparently changed his twitter username to @Altcoin_SunTzu. (https://twitter.com/Altcoin_SunTzu/status/478565372187389952)

Wink wink.

Hi..yes I have been informed of KreativeKrypto's new twitter status plus many other details by someone who seems to be looking into what is going on here. They are currently linking their involvement with others coins also among other things but feel free to pm me anything relevant and I can pass it on to the right people. Thanks
