1221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 15, 2023, 11:59:06 PM
If Napoli can win the Champions League this season, of course it is an extraordinary achievement. Combining the Scudetto Trophy and the big ear trophy is the dream of all the big teams in Serie A. Moreover, they are in significant performance in these two competitions, so I think Napoli's chances of becoming UCL champions are still very open and I hope they can advance to the final round.

If they could win the champions league, It would definitely be an extraordinary feat and would be well deserved. They’ve played well this season. Their performance in the Serie A is amazing as they’re comfortably ahead than Inter Milan who’s coming in second place in the Serie A league table.
Their chances of winning and becoming the champions league is very much open. With a performance like the one displayed in the just concluded game against Frankfurt, their chances are looking good.
1222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 15, 2023, 11:38:11 PM
Below is the list of clubs that qualified for the next round of Champions league:

Bayern Munich
Real Madrid
Benfica
Man City
Chelsea
AC Milan
Inter
Napoli

Among these clubs I rate
Bayern Munich
Real Madrid
Manchester city
Napoli
As the strong contenders.

Napoli is definitely a strong contender in the race to be the champion of them all. They’ve got a great team and good gameplay.
I had earlier read someone’s comment on this thread about Victor Osimhen being the most underrated player in the world and I can’t say I disagree. He’s a prolific player as he has in this season, scored 19 goals in 22 games he’s played in the Italian league.

I believe if he made a move over to the English Premier League, he would be really amazing as he would definitely score goals and also create a lot of chances that would lead to a goal.

Great game for Real Madrid as they’ve beaten Liverpool again in the second leg. I didn’t have any doubt in the capabilities of Real Madrid and I never doubted their win. Liverpool played good and did put up a good fight but couldn’t even begin to score any goal and equalize on the goals conceded during the first leg.
Good game and a great win for winners Real Madrid and Napoli.
1223  Economy / Economics / Re: Can I take a loan to invest in bitcoin? on: March 15, 2023, 09:20:02 PM
If we don't have money to buy bitcoin or other investments then the best thing is to take a loan, especially yesterday the price rose to more than 17% and makes bitcoin often top trending on many social media, if we take a loan and fees or interest annual 12%, so yesterday we were able to profit 17% and pay off debts, don't be afraid to take a loan because bitcoin has good hopes for the future.

If I haven’t got the money to buy bitcoin or invest in other investment opportunities, the last thing I would think about doing is to take a loan from the bank. I see the bank as your local loan shark cause the bank always collects its debts owed to it.

If i don’t have money to invest in bitcoin or any other investment, the best thing to do in my opinion, is to try and increase the avenues in which I receive income. Acquire the relevant skills to enable you acquire better job opportunities.

Personally, I wouldn’t borrow or recommend anyone to borrow from family or friends and definitely not the bank to  invest in bitcoin. The interest accrued from the loans might just financially wreck you.
1224  Economy / Economics / Re: With the present economic outlook, do you think that this is good advise? on: March 15, 2023, 05:58:37 PM
Acquiring a skill is a necessity in the world we live in today and an advise to acquire one is definitely a good advise. With numerous economic crises that has been rocking the world, jobs that were in sufficient quantity are fast disappearing or/and are being mechanized.

The best way to stay on top of all this economic woes is to acquire a skill that is sourced after and can be easily utilized. For someone that went to college, a skill is an added advantage, sorta like a bonus certificate added to the one gotten after graduating.

I’ve seen times and times again where employers choose skilled workers over workers that has the necessary certification but lacks the necessary skills for the job. So yes, I think the advise you got is a good advise. An advice that can never be repeated enough times.
1225  Economy / Economics / Re: Lending money or damaging family bond ? on: March 15, 2023, 05:12:49 PM
Disputes over money has and would continue to ruin a lot of relationships. Relationships between family members and friends alike have abruptly ended cause of disputes over money and in most cases, the relationship would not end on good terms as well.

Personally, I try not to let money come in between my relationship with my family and friends, and that’s why I do not lend any money that I can’t afford to let go to any family member or friend.

It can be quite difficult to refuse lending money to a family member or a friend in need but when I know I would have a hard time getting it back or probably wouldn’t get it back at all, I definitely would not be willing to part with  any money.
Perhaps, if I’m feeling magnanimous enough and the issues that needs my money is really urgent, I would still lend to a family member or a true friend and wouldn’t bother to go all out to get my money back.
1226  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people stay poor? on: March 15, 2023, 04:40:26 PM
I have always wanted to ask this question is it that there is no opportunity or they do not want to get rich
Mate please more to this I am confused here.

I myself am confused on why you’re asking why people remain poor and I think you created this thread for the fun of it. So, for the fun of it, I’ll drop my opinion on why people remain poor.

There are a lot of reasons on why poor folks remain poor and wealth creation is at the root of it all. The ability and opportunity to build and sustain wealth is not there for everyone.

The opportunities to create wealth is not readily available to the common man. And even if it were, the common man wouldn’t willingly part with his wee funds at hand. Inflation or any other economic crisis would hit the common man much harder than it would the rich individual.

I don’t think anyone would willfully choose to remain poor. Everyone(at least the people that I know) likes the good things life has to offer and would want to acquire valuable and luxury items. No one wants to dwell in poverty. Generally, we live in a capitalist society where money is used to create more wealth thus increasing the gap between the rich and the poor. And the poor individual barely has enough money to live on.

1227  Economy / Economics / Re: less risk or big profit? on: March 15, 2023, 06:31:30 AM
The less riskier from Real Estate and cryptocurrency is Real Estate, but less risk,, less reward. The risk that come with the higher volatility of cryptocurrency makes the profit that can be gotten bigger. Will you go for less risk, or big profit?

In my opinion, investments having higher risks doesn’t always turn out to yield high profits and vice versa. And real estate does have its own risks. It’s not as straight forward or easy as one may think. That said, I think real estate investments could be considered as a somewhat stable investment that could be bringing in income steadily. I would say most people would think stability is more ideal, don’t you think? And I think most people would feel a lot safer to invest in something that’s stable rather than something that’s volatile

That’s why the need for diversification is reinforced again. It’s not a bad idea to spread your investments across so called lesser and higher risky investments
1228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 14, 2023, 10:09:12 PM
That was a perfect strike and a beautiful goal by Kevin De Bruyne to end the game. You can say Manchester City ended the game with style as well as with a goal. Great game for Manchester City.

All eyes on Haaland as he played beautifully, scored 5 goals and winning himself the match ball. Leipzig was extremely overwhelmed in this game as they couldn’t hold onto the ball for long.
They hadn’t much possession and couldn’t get much attempt at goal as a result. They had only 1 shot on target during that entire game while Manchester City had 16. That’s a stark difference between the both teams.
1229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 14, 2023, 09:27:12 PM
It’s all cheers and applause from the crowd as Haaland is being substituted. He has been really impressive in this game. Having scored 5 goals in this game, who wouldn’t cheer and applaud him? He’s a great player who is always hungry for goals till the final whistle.
Manchester City have dominated this game from the very start and has put their full might on display as they’ve gone ahead and scored 6 goals. And with the way they’re playing, they don’t look satisfied with the 6 goals they’ve scored as they’re pushing for more goals.
1230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 13, 2023, 08:00:27 PM
Actually I saw the strategy that José Mourinho used for his team in the first half was a bit bad. the players were not encouraged to be more aggressive in the first half. but Mourinho completely changed strategy in the second half. and the result was very good for the second half. But still playing with 10 players is not as good as playing with 11 people. but Sassoulo did seem to have difficulty holding back Roma's attacks in the second half. I think Roma underestimated Sassuolo a bit in the first half at first.

I don’t know about the strategy of being more aggressive during the second half, what I do know is that I think the red card gotten by Roma during the first half of the game told on them during the second half. And with about 4 players on Roma’s side receiving a card, it was quite an aggressive game. Playing with 10 players is also a setback and I think Sassuolo knew that and utilized that setback.
I also think Roma might have underestimated Sassuolo a bit or perhaps Sassuolo was the team who was better prepared.
1231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 12, 2023, 06:20:08 PM

The draw feels like a loss and we've also got Casemiro absent for the next four game in the Premier League, the red card immediately got him Into premium tears. Ten Hag should experiment wisely for next season. Manchester United need a back up for Casemiro, this is the second time this season I've felt his red card like I got scammed or rid of all my money. I'm currently emotionally downcasted

The game between Manchester United and Southampton that ended up in a draw sure feels more like a loss than a draw. Manchester United came into the game the obvious favorite to win the game. And I personally thought that they would want to go all out to win the game.
I particularly feel bad for the red card Casemiro got. He’s such a valuable player at the club and would definitely be missed in the next games he would have to miss. I was so hoping to see a Manchester United win.
1232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 12, 2023, 01:51:22 PM

Lecce looked helpless in tonight's match considering that Torino is an opponent that is not arbitrary for Lecce to face, Torino has been very tough in their last few matches, even won the game when they hosted Bologna, even though they were defeated by the match against Juventus at least Torino could win tonight's match, even though Lecce controlled possession but that is not a guarantee that Lecce is able to score goals in this game, at least there is a change in the formation that their coach has given them to look for goals in tonight's match.

The game is finally over with Torino comfortably winning the game with 2 goals. Goals that were gotten in the first half of the game. I had thought Torino would go on to add one more goal but Lecce wasn’t having any of that.
Yes, although the ball was more in the possession of the Lecce players, and they pretty much had more attempts during the game on goal than Torino, they couldn’t find a chance to score a single goal. Torino, with this win has now won back to back.
1233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 12, 2023, 12:19:36 PM
Leece vs Torino. The game is almost at the half time and Torino is ahead by 2 goals. Although Leece has had more of the ball in their possession, Torino has utilized their opportunities very well and gotten 2 goals as a result. I think Torino is the favorites to win in this game.
I particularly liked the first goal scored by W. Singo. The build up was really amazing and it finally got the desired results. The second goal also came quickly; about 3 minutes later. Almost half time now. Would Leece get fired up in the second half and equalize?
1234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 11, 2023, 10:59:11 PM
Manchester United vs Southampton tomorrow will be a little interesting.
At the moment Manchester United clearly want to make their condition better after the previous very heavy defeat.

Yeah, it would be an interesting one to watch. Manchester United would want to move on from the somewhat still fresh and humiliating defeat. I think they might probably go all out to make sure they win the game.
I personally think, with their current form, they would win the game without much hassle cause I don’t see Southampton being that much of a threat. I do hope Manchester United wins the game. They desperately need it to recover from the defeat they suffered.
1235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: March 11, 2023, 10:25:49 PM
Another good winning for real Madrid. I knew from the start that Espanol won't be a problem to real Madrid. They were lucky with an open goal but couldn't go with a win, though I'm
really impressed with their performance today, it is much more better compared to what they displayed against Valladolid. It is quite unfortunate that Real Valladolid is now above them with 1 point from a lucky draw against Elche. Real Madrid needs much winning to Cover the 6 point pace with FC Barcelona.

Yeah, another great win for Real Madrid. I think most people, I included predicted a Real Madrid win. I didn’t think Espanyol would prove to be difficult and it showed in the game as the game was pretty much dominated by Real Madrid.
I had initially feared that Espanyol would ride on the morale gotten from their early goal to score another one. But Real Madrid quickly turned the game around and went ahead to score 3 goals to win the game.
1236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 11, 2023, 04:54:32 PM

Like I said it's a thin line for Nothinham to bounce back, but the goal they scored at least added to the fun of the game, I was just contemplating that it'll be bad if Nothinham didn't score a single game in this match. With the remaining few minutes they can score another goal to keep the game at 3:2, I thought the last preview would be a penalty kick for the Nothinham side lol. They are performing well in this second half, unfortunately the match is almost over. And I'm not surprised to see Tottenham win the game.

I guess Nottingham Forest deserves a consolation goal after playing the way they’ve played. They actually didn’t play so bad but Tottenham, with their current form was just the obvious better team in this game and is the favorites to win.
The game is pretty much over at this point and Nottingham Forest denied Tottenham the opportunity to win with a clean sheet. Irregardless, a win is a win. Good game for Tottenham as they’ve played well to deserve the win.
1237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 11, 2023, 04:34:48 PM
Tottenham played well and this exceeded my expectations, which was pessimistic with Tottenham. But Antonio Conte really made a good strategy in this match. even Nottingham seemed to struggle to turn around. and it can be said that Nottingham did not do much in this fight. but in the second half that has just started there could be a more interesting turn in the flow of this match. as Nottingham will look to equalise.

Tottenham is really playing well and this is proven by the 3 goal lead they’ve currently got over Nottingham Forest. I didn’t expect anything less. Tottenham has had more of the ball and more shots on goals. This shows how hungry they’re for goals.
Harry Kane would probably be looking to add score another goal to have a hatrick. He has been really impressive so far in the game and if he keeps at it, he may very well score another goal to make it 3 for him.
It’s now 76 minutes into the game and I do not see Nottingham Forest coming back from being 3 goals down.
1238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: March 11, 2023, 04:10:35 PM
To be honest I don't think there is a big problem as long as Real Madrid can maintain this 2-1 lead until the end of the match, but Espanyol is a team that is difficult to predict because I think they will also really want to score a second goal so as not to lose. This is definitely not safe because the match is not over, even though Real Madrid dominated the match.

However, the match is almost over and let's hope we really secure this victory. Now I can expect 6 points from Barcelona, and let's hope Barcelona really get into trouble against Bilbao earlier this week.

There wasn’t any doubt in my mind on the outcome of the game. Like i envisaged, Real Madrid managed to add one more goal to win the game comfortably. Espanyol was a difficult team to predict and the match really could go either way but I had faith in the capabilities of Madrid. And they didn’t let me down.
They didn’t relent as they struggled to add one more during the extra time of the game.
Real Madrid was the obvious aggressor in this game as they had more of the ball in their possession as well as more shots and attempts at goal.
1239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: March 11, 2023, 02:05:54 PM

Real Madrid dominated this match well, launching attacks and creating many chances. But so far Espanyol's defense has looked troublesome but the goal came on time. I'm optimistic about the home win, I hope another 2 goals in the second half.

Real Madrid pretty much dominated the first half of the game after having a slow start in the game. They had increased their possession and attacks on their opponents goal and got 2 goals as a result.
I had thought Espanyol would hold Real Madrid to a draw till the end of the first half but Real Madrid plowed into their defense and scored 2 goals to put them in the lead.

The whistle just went off for the start of the second half. And I personally think Real Madrid would probably score more goals to enable them win the game comfortably. I had no doubt from the start that they would win the game.
1240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: March 11, 2023, 01:21:34 PM
Real Madrid vs Espanyol 0:1. Espanyol has began the match with a strong stand with an early beautiful goal by Joselu in the 8th minute. So far, Espanyol has had more shots on goal than Real Madrid but the game is still very in its early phase in the first half. Real Madrid could still equalize and come back in this game.

Both teams are playing well and in my opinion, I would say Real Madrid are the obvious favorite to win in this game. Espanyol has to fight hard to add more goals to the one they’ve got and also defend from attacks from the Madrid forward.
