1221  Local / India / Re: India trained 3,000 police officials on crypto investigations in 2022–2023 on: November 10, 2023, 01:15:09 PM

This is really a great news for the Indian crypto community and a step forward in the cyber security, the numbers are negligible comparing the size population which exceeds 1.4 Billion still the government is taking their infant step now which will encourage people to report their scams to cyber cells and possibly we can track down the scammers.

This is really a good news! Considering how much functionally illiterate our Indian cops are when there is a crime related to cryptocurrency. Getting them onboard will help the innocent community and get hold of criminals. How long are they able to remember it is a big question.

Like cyber crime there should be a dedicated unit within it to handle such issues. I am unaware whether Indian local police has such a unit. I am aware that the NIA, CBI, RAW and IB has such dedicated unit. India needs such law enforcement units locally and they should be fully equipped and have proper knowledge to investigate such crimes.
1222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / BlackRock ETH, ETF application! Which L2 will pump in next bull run? on: November 10, 2023, 12:56:16 PM
After BlackRock application for Ethereum ETF, we saw the market reacting positively. Ethereum price rose to $2000 for the first time this year. Currently  it is still going strong and I am not sure where will it end. The below are the list of top 10 cryptocurrency projects that are providing layer 2 solution on the Ethereum Blockchain.

Which one do you think from the above list is the best in terms of speed and fees? Which one do you think would pump in the bull run and why?
1223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could stable coins save a deprecating economy on: November 10, 2023, 12:41:03 PM

Launching a stablecoin or CBDC on a public blockchain network is a terrible idea. I think they're better off launching their own coin on a Blockchain under their control (private chain). It's the first time governments take such a venture, so anything can happen in the long run. With or without stablecoins, you can rest assured truly-decentralized cryptocurrencies won't be going anywhere soon. Just my thoughts Grin

I don't think any cryptocurrency except Bitcoin is truly decentralized. Regardless of their benefits and the biggest myth is stablecoin considered as a decentralized entity. Being said that creation of stablecoin itself is a controversial issue. Some say it helps traders whereas some say it is a way of the US government entering into the cryptocurrency world.

I am not saying it is a good idea by the UK what I am trying to say is that they think it is a good idea. You are right creating a CBDC on a public Blockchain using a third party vendor is terrible idea. What if the third party vendor in this case is an unknown entity of the government. There can be many reason for the government to come up with such an idea but in the end the main purpose of any government is to always monitor financial activities of its citizens.
1224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Releases Web3 Wallet custodial crap on: November 09, 2023, 01:56:11 PM
They integrated the defi wallet with their exchange apps!

This has been the easiest or the simplest way to get a web3 wallet approved and become successful. Another example, how these centralized exchange guys hire someone and get what they want for their achievements. Grin

This is not new as Binance did the same to get hold of the trust wallet. That is why we should not believe on Binance as they are known to influence the market and promote what they want for their benefit.
1225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ICC WORLD CUP 2023 DISCUSSION THREAD! on: November 09, 2023, 01:28:06 PM
I never expected the last pair to bat so well, they did what the Srilankan team management never expected from them. Theekshana was amazing as he still got the bowlers frustrated while he added singles and odd boundaries to the target. They batted more than expected, like 15 or 20 overs extra to make the Srilankan team achieve an honorable target. Which I think is still not that good!

I was listening to what Sunil Gavaskar said and it was like a target of 175 or more is okay for them to defend. Currently, the pitch looks so easy for the New Zealand batter to go ahead and achieve the target. This is not something I imagined, it is a pitch meant for the spinners sadly they are not able to generate the result they are searching for. I am referring to the Srilankan spinners.

I felt this game might conclude with each team getting points as rain would interfere again. I do not think it would happen as the night clouds have disappeared and if it does happen I think the New Zealand team would win this game based on run rate. If that doesn't happen and the game gets interrupted, Pakistan will be out of the scenario because of the number of wickets lost by New Zealand within the first power play.

1226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could stable coins save a deprecating economy on: November 09, 2023, 11:47:18 AM

How would stablecoins save a depreciating economy? Aren't them tied directly to the value of national (Fiat) currencies? I appreciate the UK's efforts in embracing the revolution with open arms. But simply adopting stablecoins is not enough to save their economy. Putting inflation under control is what will eventually solve the problem. The thing is, our world is going from one crisis to another. With the COVID-19 pandemic still at large, rising geopolitical tensions, and wars, we can never expect the mainstream economy to recover.

All stablecoins are pegged to USD and if done correctly then it can boost the economy. In countries like Lebanon and others where there is too much fluctuation in local currency, using stablecoin would help them. In countries where the local currency is stable using stable coins would only destroy their economy. Then there is a big question as to why use a stablecoin as it will indirectly give economic control to the USD or the US government. What the UK government is doing just replicating their pound to a stablecoin and creating their form of CBDC I think.
1227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's happening with Bitcoin transaction fees? on: November 09, 2023, 10:50:26 AM
And it looks like this is a coordinate attack in the last couple of weeks to really increased the fees and make the bitcoin network not usable for ordinary investors. We have this kind of situation before if I'm not mistaken, around May and we didn't do anything about it but just to wait for this whole BRC-20 ordinals to die down. But now they are at it again. Specially the timing though, when we are about to make a good run, some entities will have to ruined it.

If these attack continue then I won't be suprised to see 150 sat/vB to the range of 200sat/vB. The USD value will go up if Bitcoin price continues to pumps for the next 8 days. That will hurt the sentiments more as people tend to look into the USD value more often for transaction fees.

If I remember correctly we faced a similar issue a couple of months back. At that time the memepool was completely conjusted and the transaction fee was too high to complete a small transaction. There should be a solution to this issue otherwise it might become a constant affair.
1228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $300 Million Crypto Scam in India. on: November 09, 2023, 10:33:06 AM
Cryptocurrency education is most needed in everywhere now because it will help to give awareness to them and the kind of cryptocurrency investment they will involve themselves. And another thing people need to do is to check the coin in the CEX platforms first before proceeding. We thank God that they are finally arrested.

This scam originated from a state of India known as Himachal Pradesh. It all started because mainstream media promoted Bitcoin unknowingly when it reached a ATH of 21k. Then afterwards a lot of scam projects came into existence in many northern states of India. The RBI placed a blanket ban due to a surge in scam project. All of them claimed that they are better than Bitcoin. Due to which innocent civilians invested.money and got scammed.

To counter this ban these scammers mainly used MLM with cryptocurrency and created thier own exchange and continued scamming people. After the blanket ban was removed by the Supreme court again these scammers became active and that is why the government used it last resort by applying 30 percent tax on crypto gains. I am not sure whether it has stopped scammers as still news are coming out about such scams.

The problem is that everyone thinks crypto is way to become rich quickly and because of they greed they fall for such traps.
1229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ICC WORLD CUP 2023 DISCUSSION THREAD! on: November 09, 2023, 09:52:10 AM
5 wickets have already fallen before Srilanka could even get to 100 runs. The last batting pair is on the pitch, if they lose their wickets then Srilanka would be in trouble. No one is expecting them to get 300 runs but they should try to get a honourable target for the New Zealand batters.

This match is just a waste of time, they are batting like ameatures. Only against Pakistan they had more than 300 runs on the scoreboard which got chased by Pakistani batters. If they lose today they won't qualify for the champions trophy.
1230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Releases Web3 Wallet custodial crap on: November 08, 2023, 12:43:01 PM
Please read these terms and conditions carefully. This wallet is called a competitor to Metamask and TrustWallet, but in reality it is custodial crap and all your funds can be blocked.
Don't trust centralized exchanges and their products, you will lose your money.

It is obvious that the wallet relased by a centralized exchange would be custodial. There is only one plus point and that would be getting defi benefits of Binance through the wallet app and not the exchange app. The wallet shouldn't be used for holding crypto for long term. It's use should be for only for investment purpose and that too for short term.
1231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ICC WORLD CUP 2023 DISCUSSION THREAD! on: November 08, 2023, 12:37:02 PM
England makes 339. Thanks to Dawid Malan (dude's shots go like rocket), Stokes and Woakes (nice rhyme there) that they manage to get this score, I have questions on not-out given on Stoke's lbw.

There was spectator holding sign, 'We best Bangladesh!' — it was so funny. You can add Netherlands too, pretty sure they ain't gonna able to chase this total. England's achievement this WC to beat bottom tier teams.

Yeah I expected Stokes to fire up after his half century and that his what he did, got his century in just 84 balls. Woakes got his half century too while being a support on the other side. 340 is not an easy target that can be chased by the Duth unless they have someone like Maxwell. They might have someone with some similar caliber in the next World Cup.

After winning today England has to win it's next match. If not then they are out of the Championship trophy. This type of game that was required by them earlier. Sadly they are out of the semifinal contention for the fourth slot.
1232  Local / India / Re: Will Bitcoin reach $150K in the next Bull Run? on: November 08, 2023, 12:02:51 PM
AFAIK, SEC rejected all Bitcoin applications that is why we saw the stall in the price surge and network become congested still the ETF's may get accepted in other entities which will not be helpful at all in the long run for bitcoin, but it will become the catalyst to pump bitcoin's price.

At the time of crisis the asset prices will crash at first then it will grow beyond its previous value but WWIII, I don't know because if there is such an event then we can safely say that the extinction of human race began. Smiley

I talked about a crisis scenario and the last crisis we encountered was when the human race was hit by a pandemic. Already there is a war going on in Europe and a few European countries are already in recession. Now there is a similar situation in the Middle East, which can escalate to a proper war in some time. The US is funding both wars they have already opened two fronts.

This is when China will try to take over Taiwan and most are predicting it will happen in 2024. Now, my friend in such a situation the wealth of those rich will depreciate and the global market would go down in such a situation they come to Bitcoin, as in the rich and institutional investors. The same scenario happened when the pandemic caused the global market to go into the red.

When two powerful economies are indirectly in war against each other then they drag those countries that support them into the war. This is why I suspect another World war is in the making and it will be called WW-3
1233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ICC WORLD CUP 2023 DISCUSSION THREAD! on: November 08, 2023, 11:35:32 AM
Today's game doesn't impact anyone on the point table but tomorrows does. NZ would be playing against SL and chances are that Kiwis would win. If they win then the situation for Pakistan becomes difficult. They will be playing against the English team on 11th of this month. Not only they need to win it but they would need to improve their NRR considerably.

From being the favorites to play in the semifinals of the World Cup to being in the 10th spot of the points table. England's journey has been incredible and has been difficult. They are now struggling against the Netherlands bowling. I do not think that they would go near to 300 runs today and if they lose today they do not qualify for the champions trophy in 2025. They must win today and in their next match to play the next 50-over ICC event. Ben Stokes is still playing and will complete his half-century after that he needs to accelerate the run rate.

Can Afghanistan win against the Australian team today? Knowing Australia I think it is hard for them. Considering the overall performance today, it seems Australia has a upper edge against Afghanistan. They were able to restrict Afghans from going beyond 300 runs. For me that is a positive sign.

If Afganistan wants to win against Australia, they would have to get wickets before the first power play ends. The first 10 overs are critical as it helps the bowling side eliminate the top batters. The situation is similar as of Afghanistan are able to get a few wickets it would become a problem for the Australian batting.
1235  Local / India / Re: Will Bitcoin reach $150K in the next Bull Run? on: November 07, 2023, 01:16:35 PM
I would say halving has always sent the Bitcoin price soaring up and I feel the same would happen this time as well because Halving reduces the supply or mining capability by half and even if the market trades at the same phase still demand will be increased because the new coins getting mined is reduced by half.

But I am still little bit skeptical about ETF as all these years Bitcoin has fought a lone battle and survived against the regulators and banking institutions and giving a nod for ETF will bring bitcoin into more mainstream than ever which may change the course of overall stock market itself which is something big bosses don't want to happen as it would be difficult for them to manipulate the market for Bitcoin ETF.

Let's all keep ourself updated with latest developments happening around Bitcoin and take the appropriate step, I feel Bitcoin may close this year in the range of $40k to $45k as $150k looks out of range as of now but not impossible.

This year it won't go to the range of $150k for sure. What you predicted for this year is something that I can agree too. The reason being there are only two months left for the year to end.

Since we are speculating what happens if one of the Bitcoin ETF's get approved before the year ends. What happens when  a third world war starts as we know it is looming now. Why I talked about a war is because anytime when there is a global crisis Bitcoin gets pumped. The best example will be COVID 19 which I feel was the reason for Bitcoin to pump and create a new high.

What is happening now can cause a lot of people to invest in Bitcoin. It has happened in the past and it can happen before the year end. There is one thing that everyone believes and that is called security of someones money. Bitcoin provides that security without the influence of a third party.
1236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What's happening with Bitcoin transaction fees? on: November 07, 2023, 12:58:55 PM
I was checking mempool and saw the transaction  fee sky rocketing. I am not sure what happened suddenly as these fees are way beyond anyone's imagination. Later on, I did found out that Binance has listed Ordinals (ORDI). I want to ask the community whether the severe high transaction fee occured because of the listing?

I went ahead and check the price of $ORDI on Binance and found that it is trading at a price which is way beyond it should be. I am sharing the screenshot below.

Anyone here who can give a solution to this issue? I feel they would continue to make the transaction fee in those Satoshi figures . This situation would not help small investors and traders as they would avoid these kinds of transaction fees.

Edited on 10th of November 2023

As expected it is now beyond the control of anyone except those who were part of the development. They should come up with a solution otherwise the whole idea would crumbled.

Look at this after I posted before the current price.

This has to stop or everything that was beautiful would become a nightmare. Those who created it have to come out of a unique solution.

These fees are insane and out of the limit of anyone who is like me. Imagine someone wants to transfer $10! Do you think these atrocious fee would help them.

Today's date: 6th of December 2023.
1237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is LocalMonero a mixer/tumbler for XMR coins? on: November 07, 2023, 12:42:52 PM
First of all Monero (XMR) is a privacy based coin. It is not possible for anyone to trace the origin and the ending of its transaction. It is a coin which acts like a mixer but has its own Blockchain.

A mixers is not a Blockchain, it just jumbles the address to make it untraceable. If I am correct you only have Bitcoin mixture and not for any altcoins. Local Monero is a P2P exchange and not a mixture.
1238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your thoughts about potential newly borned coins during the bear market? on: November 07, 2023, 12:37:49 PM
Altcoins that are released when the market is sideways or bear market are according to my knowledge good. If the founders release their project in a market condition that is not going up then the project would have something to hold on. Whereas those projects that come out in bulk market are projects that are meant to profit the founders.

I have seen a lot good amount of memecoins came up in 20121 when the market was having an upward trend. These coins are still active but their as those who invested still believe in their potential. Most of them according to my judgement don't contribute anything. Yet, the craze and hype of such projects still exists.
1239  Local / India / Re: ICC World Cup 2023 - India discussion on: November 06, 2023, 02:17:36 PM
Kohli is the legend! We thought that Sachin was a god of cricket. In 2023 he is a slowly becoming a legend who will become a pain in the ass of for upcoming legends.

On his 35th Birthday he broke a record of centuries by Sachin. Given more time as the legend said he will break all his records and would create new. None of the present playing lot will be able to break records by Kohli.

There are a few more recognition that won't hurt the Indian team. Considering the way the bowlers are doing, we might see a lot of new records coming up by the Indian bowlers. This team is making us as an India feel we are more into bowling than battt.
1240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC Charges Crypto Company SafeMoon and its Executive Team for Fraud on: November 06, 2023, 02:07:23 PM
Another suprising deal by the SEC. Considering the way US works and SEC work's I am noy surprised. Eventually this is the way how a country works when they legally accept money to promote thier objectives. In the end their idea will I promoted even if they approve or put the promoters to trial.
