AMT stepping it up on their website

- Now selling chips
- customer support area (password protected so i have no clue whats there).
- 1.2 th miner closeout (what does this mean should we expect 2.0 coming soon)

good stuff AMT.  Looking forward to picking up my order.

AMT let us know whats going on.  I still have hope.

Are you near their location?  Is their office real?

If you paid attention, someone else said they went to their location. It does exist. Their previous office, maybe not, because nobody in the surrounding area even heard of AMT... but the new one does exist.

Yes, real office, real assembly site. And my personal experience with AMT and my miner is that they are very responsive and stay with you to get things running if you have an issue. Product works great, BTW.

-ProfSnow

Yeah and real coincraft miner which nobody have seen except you? Or you are referring to their bit fury products?

Hey come on, he's got one post and joined today to quote two month old posts. It has to be true!  Lol
I know dude Wink
But I am damn sure that isawhim will prove us wrong Grin it is just a matter of time for him to show some pr skills + some extraordinary theory.
If yo have some free time just check my posts in this thread. You are gona have fun

Healthy skepticism is a good thing in this market and industry - lots of hype and scams. But I have had my 220 GH/s miner for 2 weeks now - working smoothly. But it is not the 1.2 TH/s unit.
Yeah this stuff works. other guys here can tell you why Wink no irony it is a good product
1222  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Technobit HEX8A1 - 6/8 chip Coincraft A1 board -999 EUR March delivery on: February 15, 2014, 05:22:25 PM
Gator,
While tweaking the boards use diff to one 1 . With dif to one 0 you need at least day for stats to settle
Then you can which board is better Smiley

How u change it? I'm in no rush though, I run it until they stabilize.  Wink
In to link web it is called set asic difficulty or something like that for hex8 boards. Default is 0 change this to 1

1225  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: February 15, 2014, 04:57:15 PM
Exactly... and thus, your "stability", by your own words, is erratic, just like the two 1.0THs runs they showed on the chart. They only did two runs on that account. The other runs were NOT 1.0THs. That whole chart is various boards being added and tuned, and tested.

Yes, they were able to run it stable about two hours. So they snapped a quick video and it hasn't been stable since. That's extremeley discomforting to see.
That's one explanation, though it's not necessarily the only one. I would say it's more likely that the unit hashing at that address is the one they are doing development on. The green hashrate line is the 675s average, so it's kind of hard to make a judgement on whether that is issues with the unit itself, or just it being power cycled and/or cgminer restarting to change some settings.

They should have units fully built now if they do plan to start shipping in the next couple days, too bad they haven't shared more of that development.
That was their PR unit. It is a dam stupid to do development on it. Just my two cents
I am still wandering if 6 modules are ok for their design and what psu amt will use to provide 1300 wats with safety margin.

Ok bought a 730W Thermatake as a temp PSU had 4x PCI-E..... it's not enough to run 2x Hex8A1 on defaults clocks!

Hex8A1 #1 Default Clock/Volt 245GH 368W at the wall.

Hex8A1 #2 Default Clock/Volt 248GH 408W at the wall.

Total = 493GH @ 776W
0.63GH/W or 1.57W/GH that's very similar GH/W to the Hex16B except they're quiet!

Right I'm gonna dial the clocks down and see if I can get close to 1GH/1W somewhere so I can run both on the same PSU.

Then I'm gonna try and make them quiet! Roll Eyes
Nice pics gator.  The diff-to-one is 0 which is a wise move having in mind other boards connected Wink
1228  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Technobit HEX16A2 - 16 chip Avalon Gen2 board on: February 15, 2014, 04:19:17 PM
I finally got my boards hashing.
Only problem I am having is that due my ISP i have to use dhcp and i am having difficulties to login to tplink.
I can login when tplink is connected directly to my laptop and i can make settings, but when tplink is connected to swicht i can not connect to it.
Any how hashing is showing up on my pools so everything seems to bee in order.
Port based clan probably?
Is that in yor home? I guess not...
Post your PC IP address ad tplink Ip adders we can find a way for you to connect Wink
1229  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Technobit HEX8A1 - 6/8 chip Coincraft A1 board -999 EUR March delivery on: February 15, 2014, 07:26:41 AM
Cool. Thanks for testing that.
I think Bitmine were using 830mV in their video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91MuwGOgRFo

No problem  Wink
But i am not sure about their setting. The cgminer only show 8/256

At 0:47, watch in 720p full screen, and you can see SYS_CLOCK=830MHz

But 17A/204W is awesome. I'll be happy with that! That's close to 1GH/W Cheesy
Yeah heve in mind that a few amps are for the powerful fans which you gonna replace. You are getting there:)
1230  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Technobit HEX8A1 - 6/8 chip Coincraft A1 board -999 EUR March delivery on: February 14, 2014, 03:12:36 PM
Sorry about that Gator.
Specially for customers like you we are finishing now 4 chip version with normal heat sink and fans.
I hope it will be stable @ 130 range  with nice 2-3w fans.
The damn chip is sooo power hungry

Update in Monday

This is great  Smiley
I am sure many people will choose 4 chip version  Grin

Are these A1's chips a different production run to the ones Bitmine are using? How did they manage to get 1GH/1W?
What about the Bitfury 2, is the ETA for that still March? I'm probably just going to wait for another chip.
If I cannot get these running quite I'll eBay them.
If someone can give me the lowest GH/Watt they will run at it would be useful before I pick up a temporary PSU.
But if not I'll find out tomorrow and report back!

They use more chips at slower speed to save power.

Yeah I thought they used 12 instead of 8, but someone corrected me on that, the 12 is for the Rig, the desk has 8, like the Hex8A1.
The chip specs say 850mV for 1GH/W, which was supposed to be their Turbo mode, so I'm surprised these don't even fire up at 850mV.
I did hear a rumor they made a second batch and the first went to DIY, but I was hoping it wasn't true. Tongue

No I mean in total, don't they have 5 boards in the Desk? So for 1TH they are getting 200GH per board which is much lower than the 270 these ones get so maybe needs less volts.

they have problems with power dude. They can not meet promised/advertised power consumption and 100% of US citizens home fusees are going to explode Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin
Az zich posted chip is not working at lower voltage. I do not know if it is because of the chip or because of the design but i guess it is a chip to blame.
Besides it is getting very expensive when you switch cheap PC PSU with industrial one Grin
Can you imagine to tell your wife
Honey i got new miner.
That is very cool we are gonna be reach
Yes..Probably maybe but please, please stop using washing machine, oven and air conditioner Grin
I can not especially today Grin

Congrats to all Wink
Spacial thanks to Zih for bringing light to power consumption!

Have fun and happy nonstop mining

Can a TP-Link run both Hex16B and Hex8A1 at the same time? Which do u set as default then?

Yes gator. It can. Set it to hex8 but watch it on startup if it will detect all boards properly. If not just reboot it
1233  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Technobit HEX8A1 - 6/8 chip Coincraft A1 board -999 EUR March delivery on: February 13, 2014, 08:17:37 PM
There you go

One board is still waiting to be set up Smiley
Try one volt 1000 mv and 257 clock
1234  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Technobit HEX8A1 - 6/8 chip Coincraft A1 board -999 EUR March delivery on: February 13, 2014, 08:03:32 PM

Set default to hex8 int the web and do not be angry it will work Wink just a little bit of reading.
Post all startup options voltage clock and so on. Fill all blanks in the web cgminer configure using defaults do not leave nothing blank
Do not forget to set user pass of tpli k if it is fresh install before that it is not getting any of your setings

i left difficulty blank. Now I set it to one and it is working @250GH/s with Frequeny 250 and 980mV. PSU still running stable.
Heatsink is not touchable Undecided

Do not pay attention to it Wink
Up to 25 c room temp you are ok. You will get used to hot heatsink. If yo don't like it reduce clock power and hasrate

That one Fan on the top is EXTREMELY noisy Angry

Anyway, i flashed tplink with the newest image, but cgminer won't start, it is not even in the showing up as a running process.

It will get recognized as HEX16A

error message in cgminer api log:
Code:
[Firmware Version] => 20140208
cgminer: 3_12_3_e447b69
Socket connect failed: Connection refused

any guesses?

Guy's
I do completely agree for the idiot thing. Please excuse my manners. I am sorry. You are missing some key points here. As long as the delivery date maters some other details also matter.
I wish good luck to all of you and do sincerely hope you will get working miner within promised specs in terms of power and hash rate very soon. Being a legitimate customers (I am not) you deserve to be informed what exactly is going on. That is all. Keep asking your questions as suggested and do not stop do that until you got the complete and clean answers without ifs or whether and so on
Best
1237  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: GRIDSEED Group Buy on: February 13, 2014, 05:07:53 PM
I'm looking to put together a groupbuy for the gridseed - cost is
200-999 units: 160 USD/unit
1000+ units: 155 USD/unit

1 Controller is needed for up to 15 devices @ $60 USD per controller

Minimum of 200 units for groupbuy to move forward - hosting can be provided if needed/wanted at a tier 1 data center

any interest?

_ATCSECURE_

That is what I call a robbery. Good luck to all buyers
1238  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: February 13, 2014, 05:02:59 PM
No you showed how mining in a pool that is constantly DDOS attacked, and rapes it's users, does not reward 1.2THs, it only rewards about 862GHs...

Here's what a stable 1 TH/s system looks like:

http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/userstats.php/1FT66kMTmFzVVzphfTeU1q1wec7QnmfWCQ

Here's Bitmine's unstable 1 TH/s on the same pool at the same time

http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/userstats.php/1BA1Y3xvLbSYU9TqcxUspXzEn1roSStCVr

Don't try blaming the pool. It's obviously not the pool's fault.
Isawhim has serious issues. He needs strong pils obviously and a doctor for sure. Syke, just do not pay attention to him it is useless and complete loss of time. I am starting to believe that no one  cares what is all about in this thread. Pity
My feeling is that 90% of the people posting are in behalf of amt with different nicks one mad man for sure and just a few of us who tell what we think. The rest just do not care. The only thing they care is when that is all
The answer to when is next week. But which one exactly next after next. The answer what for those who care is not what was advertised in terms of speed and power consumption because bla bla. Period. But next week it will be tweaked and shipped for sure Grin
So be prepared next week your miners are coming!
1239  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Technobit HEX16A2 - 16 chip Avalon Gen2 board on: February 13, 2014, 12:39:24 PM
Bad...
Try different voltage/clocks start with lower values. if chips still do not work the bard is not working then.
Sorry to say that

Did that already (0,9V 1000 Hz for example) without the "cgminer-api stats" and they seem not willing to work properly (chip 1+2) or even at all (chip 3-8).
The best thing to do is to approach marto then. Do you have 12V molex connected i guess yes but it is just in case
1240  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Technobit HEX16A2 - 16 chip Avalon Gen2 board on: February 13, 2014, 12:27:17 PM
Ok. Just in case you missed that as far as i can see you are running custom build of cgminer Right?
if yes ssh is familiar and cgminer api-listen also? If not something more than a copy paste of compile instructions is needed which is called tp-link. In any case a little bit of reading about cgminer in general is a good start
Anyway type cgminer-api stats under ssh console. Is that hard?

That was helpfull...

Here the output of cgminer-api stats. Ehm... I switched of the PSU yesterday and cgminer keept running, so don't wonder about [MHS av].

Chip 3 to 8 with Nonces = 0

Bad...
