1222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SONM: Supercomputer Organized by Network Mining on: October 15, 2017, 07:53:35 PM
I bought some more SONM at around 1850 - seems like a good deal.
Got 17k now - planning to add another 3k Smiley
that sounds like a good plan. i'm also planning on adding 10k sonm. waiting for bitcoin to break 6000 usd, this should push sonm price down thus filling my bag at cheapest price.

Planning to do the exact same thing, I hope Sonm stays low until the beginning of november when I get paid, I already have a fine amount but another 10K sonm could prove very valuable in the next 2 - 5 years

Don't know if someone already posted this but I just found in their telegram chat a calculator, however haven't checked it out yet

https://calc.datum.org
It shows that the more data you share the more it is valued and the more each source of data is worth. And their valuation is based on average revenue per user.

Yet, it's a bit vague, it doesn't say if these are the estimated annual/monthly/whathever amounts. I guess its annual.

I'd be surprised if facebook only made 30$ on my data in 1 year, I'm guessing it's monthly
It all depends on how you are using this platform. If you are active user (liking, sharing) then your data is worth quite a lot  Wink

True!
1224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The higher the rise, the bigger the plunge (btc vs alts) on: October 15, 2017, 07:50:24 PM
The problem with many alts is that tokens are useless for the moment. Many projects can't explain why you should hold their tokens for a real use and I think it's dangerous.

The tokens are basically tradeable shares, barely different from the shares of microsoft or google, except they're spendable to some extent
1225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SONM will explode on: October 15, 2017, 07:48:21 PM
It's still higher than it was two weeks ago. And again, the Bitcoin Gold fork pulled most of the altcoin money into Bitcoin. If you care so much about these short term movements learn to trade them. Otherwise just sit back and wait a few years after making investments. Investing has always been a game of patience and proper due diligence.
I'm amazed that people are expecting huge gains over such short timeframes. Instead of complaining about SONM at $0.1, people should be filling their bags and holding for a few months.
Yeah, people in this scene are quite weird. Most of them don't seem to have any understanding about real markets whatsoever but think they're experts because they've seen some coins rise sharply in the short amount of time they've been trading. I'm pretty sure the same thing happened during the dot com bubble. More profits for smart and patient investors I guess.

thank to Twitter twats which keep posting images of xxxx% gains of any shitcoin they can find without real value behind.
I think this is really only temporary when those so called "coins" will fail hardly and people starts using brains again .... but maybe not, who knows Cheesy

I think that's exactly what'll happen. I believe in 5 years more than 70% of current existing coins will be long gone, while the remaining 30% (a lot of which will be coins that don't exist yet) will be up 5.000 - 10.000% of their current value.

1227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best crypto to buy now? on: October 15, 2017, 07:44:04 PM
Many coins very fall down now.So you can buy Lisk because lisk is very future growth coin personally i think it's good coin for long holder. And you can buy bancor price is big dump so it's perfect time to buy.

Lisk is indeed a very interesting buy right now
1228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Minereum - First Self Mining Smart Contract on: October 15, 2017, 04:03:28 PM
MNE must fallow dump with other altcoins = you must sell me cheap MNE  Cool

Send all for arte transaction. Only left 3, and i'm saving for me remind don't believe every shilling you see on bitcointalk.

It was a nice Project but devs absence of communication killed it. I think it will be same with arte.

couldn't agree with you more, I'm afraid, I bought MNE in may, was very happy and optimistic about them, but they've been slacking so damn hard

I don't think Bitcoin price will plunge, altcoin will only need to go and meet Bitcoin at the top, there are some prjection that by March 2018, Bitcoin will be at $10k

By march 2018 that may be right, but before it goes there it'll drop, it has always done that, and it will keep doing that
1231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🌟🌟 Datum - Unlock the Bln $$ Data Economy - ICO 29th October - 🌟🌟 on: October 15, 2017, 02:13:30 PM
We can eran Datum tokens in full time, or only once? And how many I can earn for shares my data?

I think it will depend on the Datum price and how much a company is willing to pay for your data. We will need to wait for a running  version to run calculation on this.

hm.. so, every big companies will pay for our data? Such coca-cola, apple, mersedes etc?  Roll Eyes

Well that's the idea. They'll pay us for our data like shopping behavior and such, so they don't need to pay large middlemen (facebook eg) who calculate their price based on their costs. Since we ourselves don't have business expenses based on our data, we can charge them less then massive organisations.

Maybe Datum will also create some sort of data blocker (like ad blockers) that will minimize the amount of data that gets put out there, like a proxy server that doesn't registrate your online behavior.
1232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🌟🌟 Datum - Unlock the Bln $$ Data Economy - ICO 29th October - 🌟🌟 on: October 15, 2017, 01:04:19 PM
I found this image very clear on how the client will look:

Now you have an idea how your data will be worth something.
When this data is sold to 10 companies, you can make good money I think.

Datum should release a demo so we can all test how the client will work.

This looks quite interesting, does this mean that you pay some Dat if you keep the data for yourself?

Nope, i think you are not earning that amount of dat by keeping it to yourself.

You don't need to pay if you want to keep your data, you just don't earn something then. Actually I wonder how the Datum project will financiate themself? Will they take a fee for every sell?

Probably they will pay us x and will sell it to 2x or maybe lower multiply but still they will sell it eventually and it will higher price then they pay us for data.

For Sure Cheesy thats the way how companies work profitabel... There is no other way, because without this Profit, the company would have no right to exist... If you have a Problem with this, maybe capitalism ist Not the right system for you Tongue

They'll keep a large portion of the coins to themselves, about 1.5 billion, the whole point of them is to remove the middle man when selling and buying data. They're not going to go take high fees and do the exact same thing facebook and others are doing. They'll sell the coins to sustain themselves
1233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Minereum - First Self Mining Smart Contract on: October 15, 2017, 12:40:25 PM
arte will skyrocket once launched

Tell me why with good arguments, please.
1234  Economy / Speculation / Re: what you think about bitcoin in like 5 years? on: October 15, 2017, 12:38:13 PM
bitcoin is five years time in my opinion there will be a lot of hard forks from the original bitcoin blockchain and the value of bitcoin would increase by 300 percent today's price. if transaction's speed and price remains the same, bitcoin's not improving and maybe the price wont grow that much

I think that after 5 years bitcoin can still grow more, as you can see, the trend of bitcoin in the past year increased. More and more people are getting interested in bitcoin, so I think that bitcoin can still grow bigger in 5 years time.
Certainly banks will adopt Bitcoin because of the increasing use of Bitcoin, which is likely to increase Bitcoin's value over the next five years, and may reach very high prices. I think the Bitcoin market in the near future will grow as the price is now $ 6000

Banks will have to, otherwise they'll become obsolete. If they don't, it would be like the post office not adopting e-mail
1235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Stox - Prediction market platform | Token sale has ended on: October 15, 2017, 12:36:26 PM
Wow what a moron, stupid bounty hunter spreading fud, he just gonna make his bounty token later worth less by spreading the fud.

Or is he bitter because get kick out from bounty program , with that attitude im sure he didnt receive any stakes and crying like a baby and show tantrum with his big red font T-T
You should support not destruct

Support not destruct should be the main slogan here on bitcointalk, too many people either frustrated or FUD spreaders looking for lower points of entry
1236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🌟🌟 Datum - Unlock the Bln $$ Data Economy - ICO 29th October - 🌟🌟 on: October 15, 2017, 11:59:39 AM
Yes, Im also, didnt understand all... At first - which types of date we can share? Where i can find examples?

Shopping behavior that Facebook and google can't detect, secret likes and dislikes, personal medical info, goals, dreams, ... Basically the data only you really know you have and produce. Facebook can only guess; they notice you 'liked' a video from coca cola, so you'll see ads about coca cola. Maybe you have diabetis so you can't drink coca cola, but you'll get ads anyway, eventhough they're irrelevant to you. Datum can change that, in the sense that you'll get the ads you enjoy and are relevant, you make money from that info, and advertisers don't show you ads that really don't apply to you.
1237  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin hits all-time high on: October 15, 2017, 11:59:29 AM
I guess it'll go to 6K and drop back down to 4500, at which point the alts will make their comeback. Invest in the alts now, invest in bitcoin when the alts are surpassing ATH's left and right (which will happen sooner than later)

If you invest in the alts now, then you are going to lose at least 90% of your investment. I am saying this because the 2MB block size implementation is very near and Bitcoin exchange rate are going to rocket upwards after that. And the altcoin (especially ETH) demand will remain low, due to the dullness in interest from China.

That's what people said last times. THe fact is that whales and individual investors have bought massive amounts of bitcoin at 3, 4 and 5K in anticipation of the upcoming forks. When it goes well, prices will increase, causing a lot of sell orders to go through, as well as a lot of people, especially whales, to cash out. If it doesn't go well, people will panic sell, causing prices to drop as well. The alts won't drop so much anymore because that would mean people selling at heavy losses. Buying alts now is like buying stocks from good companies right after the heavy crash of '08.

I can't access the bounty reward google document, it is down? How can I track my progress?

Maybe the manager is updating the status of the participants do not worry it will be back soon, continue your work  Smiley

Probably, thanks!
1239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If you have now 500$ for invest? Where you invest? on: October 15, 2017, 11:47:57 AM
Buy the alts now that they're down, prices didn't drop because the alts are bad, they dropped because everyone seems to want bitcoingold for free. Once that craze is over, people will invest their money back in the alts. I believe Bitcoin should be comfortable sitting at 45% marketcap dominance, which means about 10% (by the time the fork happens) should flow right back into the alts (and ofcourse some fiat). I believe close to 15 billion will go right back to the top 5% best alts out there (NEO, SONM, ETH, LTC, LSK, ...), so please, don't try to chase a pump that's gonna make you 5% profits, get in on the alt pump that's gonna get you 500% profits

Not sure about 500% profits, I do the same but will be very happy and satisfied with 80% profit Wink ... but for the most part I agree with your analysis.

I enjoy reading your posts and listen more to it than most of the "noise" here.  Thanks.

Thanks man, likewise! The reason I say 500% is because I believe NEO could go to 150$ in 1 year, Sonm could go to 1$ before the year is over, and so on. Indeed 80% profits are great, but I'm really optimistic about upcoming market changes. For starters, I believe WallStreet is actively trying to get involved in cryptocurrency, which means a lot of new money will flow into this market. A 200 billion total cap by the end of the year seems highly plausible
1240  Economy / Speculation / Re: what you think about bitcoin in like 5 years? on: October 15, 2017, 11:39:10 AM
Just realize - Capital Market is about 200 Trillions $ big. BTC capitalisation is only around 0.1 Trillion $ in actual prices and without a "lost" BTC correction. Today it is very young and small. After 5 years it will grow up and gain more power.

Hopefully within next 2-3 years we will reach market cap around 1-2 Trillions which will be only 1% comparing to Capital Market. After 5 years capitalisation could be around 5-6 Trillions. If it will be almost 90% mined the price is to be around 260-300k per BTC. 10 years - 1M?

Good forecast. I would even say perfect. Bitcoin really has a lot of potential today. But if he becomes as popular as we want, I do not know. Everything is constantly changing and in the world of crypto currency it is very fast

Very soon using BTC will not need a pc or smartphone at all, for example just a very cheap emc or nfc etc compatible hw wallet with prepaid amount on it will boost acceptance and usage among people that are far from technologies. If the consumers, not only traders, will demand for BTC then price will rocket to the Mars, not only the Moon.

There are also a lot of projects working towards payment methods for cryptos, I personally support ChangeBank (link in signature), but Centra, Polybius, Bankera, ... they're all working towards the same goal, which is total world adoption
