12221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My Portfolio on: March 28, 2017, 07:15:42 PM
One thing i want to mention is stay away from coins that pumped like crazy like DASH, ETH, MONERO
That's right deicision, too late to get on that coins, because the trend just fully with pump and dump. And it's very risky to follow that coins.
Agree with Dash, don't know about any of the others.  It's always amusing to me to see what shitcoins people are investing in, as if there was any logic behind the choices.  I haven't even heard of most of what OP owns...good luck with your quest for profit.  LOL
12222  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam Report Against "SteamReseller" -- 100€ Amazon.de Code on: March 28, 2017, 05:50:29 PM
What happened:: I sent him code for 100€ Amazon.de Gift Card, after 1min he reedemed the code
That basically marks the end of the trade from his side.It would be stupid of him to not block you since he knew he wasn't going to pay you any bitcoins either way.

What you should do : Try contacting Amazon customer support and let them know what happened of course don't mention bitcoins or a trade was involved.
Lol.  This seems like two scammers seeing who's going to lose first.  I don't trust folks here who sell gift cards, but maybe this one here was just surplus for OP.  But as Lauda has said, you're new, but you really ought to keep your wits about you on this forum and that should be obvious.   Better luck next time.
12223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Millionaires in the making right now with the altcoin pumps on: March 28, 2017, 04:58:51 PM
I don't even know what those coins are, and I sure as hell didn't profit from the madness surrounding them.  Too risky for my blood.   These all trade on exchanges?
12224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Alt shilling increase when Bitcoin is under attack on: March 28, 2017, 04:38:42 PM
Haven't exactly noticed a pattern, but I've definitely noticed there's more 'shilling' (your term) of shitcoins lately.  I'm almost ready to put the whole altcoin section on ignore for a while.  There's just too many garbage threads.
12225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC, Transaction Fees now $ .60 , Now Cheaper to send a Money Order on: March 28, 2017, 04:16:31 AM
Fuck the money order, just send cash in the mail.

I've never heard anyone come up with a good reason to use bitcoin over fiat anyway.   It never made any sense to me.   Honestly I don't care if bitcoin fails at this point.  The community is full of morons and is toxic, and bitcoin is way too volatile to be a currency.
12226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CAN WE SEND BTC WITHOUT ANY FEES??? on: March 28, 2017, 01:55:36 AM
The fees don't seem that high to me, but I can imagine that if you live in a country where sig campaign earnings can feed your family for a week,  they'd be considerable.  I sent a few bucks a couple weeks ago with a ridiculously small fee, and it got stuck in the network for like 5 days.  So it can be done but as others have mentioned,  you'll be waiting a long ass time.
12227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin wobbles as traders turn to other cryptocurrencies amid uncertain future on: March 28, 2017, 01:08:12 AM
You ought to give a link to the article when you reference it.  CNBC actually mentioned altcoins?  That seems strange to me.

In any case, bitcoin has "wobbled" before and seemed like it was down for the count back in 2014-15.  A little wobble doesn't bother me much.   That's just bitcoin for ya.
12228  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin dropping like a stone on: March 28, 2017, 12:54:16 AM
Sadly, bitcoin is really looking to stabilize below $1,100 and it did not retain the $1,200 levels. So far right now there are plenty of alt-coins that are stabilizing at their current levels and seems that right now is looking to be an image of what are the baselines. Well, it is still a good level in my opinion.
Sadly? I think this is pretty fair outcome, considered pretty uncertain situation we are in.
We should be pretty happy that we didn't witness crash to the sub ~$800 levels, and instead we had consolidation and recovery.
I am not sure that current price shifts of bitcoin are caused by potential fork eventuality or rather actions of Trump administration.

Ugh.  Trump has got nothing to do with the price of bitcoin.  Btc is too global to be affected by one country's dick taster.  It's this fork thing.  People panicked and sold, and now we've rebounded nicely.  I'm actually surprised that we didn't dip lower.  The momentum to do so was certainly there.
12229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ethereum going to take over bitcoin in the upcoming months? on: March 28, 2017, 12:00:31 AM
Bitcoin got hit pretty damn hard in the past few weeks,  but now it's above $1000 again.  Eth replacing btc?  No, I don't think so.   If I owned a house, I'd wager it and everything else I own--that's how certain I am about it.  Bitcoin has utility, eth just barely has one or two uses.  And there are hundreds of other coins I could say the same thing about.
12230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Long Term Investments on: March 27, 2017, 11:53:56 PM
How many fucking "what should I buy" threads need to be made?  You're just going to get biased and crap-ass answers.  People are going to tell you to buy whatever it is they want to dump on you.  Do you not see that?  Don't buy any of this shit.  If it ain't bitcoin, stay faaar away.
12231  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your Bitcoin Assets on: March 27, 2017, 11:44:55 PM
Not selling,  not buying.  Just holding & accumulating for now, but I may buy some fairly soon.   It's just lack of disposable income that's keeping me from buying,  and I definitely feel it's a good time to buy.  People really oversold this past month.
12232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any one participating in ICOs is an idiot!!! on: March 27, 2017, 10:42:20 PM
I agree, OP.  By the way,  did QTUM turn out to be a complete scam or what?  I've not been really following the altcoin section for a few days.  They have/had a self modded thread and a pretty lucrative sig campaign.   Seemed like they were going to take the money and skeedaddle.  That's typical ICO behavior,  and I do think anyone investing in these things is fucking crazy.
12233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What Altcoins do you want to hold in 2017? on: March 27, 2017, 10:33:19 PM
I don't even know what 'insane' is, but this thread is obviously a pump attempt for it.

I'm not holding any shitcoins.  Look at the craziness currently attending the dash folks.  People are out of their MF'ing minds, and I'll have no part of that.  Just bitcoin for me, thanks.
12234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How today was my last btc transaction. on: March 27, 2017, 10:25:04 PM
Which in turn costs more then other traditional methods. Paying almost or even more then 10% of the amount being sent is ridiculous.
For large payments this is no issue. But for normal small payments it just doesn't make sense. Not when your making 20-50 transactions daily.
I totally agree with this sentiment.   It would be so much easier to use dash or doge for stuff, but NO ONE takes those coins.  Nevertheless,  I'm happy with bitcoin as an investment and not a currency.
12235  Economy / Economics / Re: Question that has been a million times here on: March 27, 2017, 06:09:15 AM
there really is no easy way to make money without getting lucky.

and if there was one, no one would tell you.

So working hard is the same thing as luck.
If you want to make money from youtube, the main thing is to provide quality content, nobody will come back to your channel if contains dilluted content and this require a great deal of work to achieve this, because there is a stat that says most people quit their channel before the fifth production
No, the key word is EASY.  Hard work can make you money, but it's not EASY money.  Work on your reading comprehension skills.
12236  Other / Meta / Re: Hey bitcointalk can you stop infringing on freedom of speech? on: March 26, 2017, 01:53:18 AM
As staff said above, there's no constitution and no amendments thereof, so your "freedom of speech" is meaningless.  In my experience, people who bitch about such things on the internet have no grasp of that US-centric concept.  This really is a private forum, not a government one.

Having said that, I've had plenty of posts deleted, and most of them were justly deleted (probably for trolling-like comments).  Just suck it up and move on.  And abide by the rules here.
12237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buying ETH instead of shorting BTC - good idea? on: March 25, 2017, 11:57:27 PM
I probably wouldn't short bitcoin right now, as we might be rebounding past the point where it's profitable to do so.  But who knows.  Buying ETH?  Nah, I think it's a garbage, overhyped coin that's already seen its best days.  If you do either one, just don't risk too much dinero doing it.
12238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: @RogerVer lets make a deal. At least 60k, my BTU for your BTC. on: March 25, 2017, 03:16:14 AM
renigged
I had to LOL at this.

But someone tell me true, is this a good time to buy bitcoin or what?  Is this one of those drama-infested pseudo-issues that bitcoin finds itself mired in from time to time?  I don't understand the issue and frankly I don't care.  Is this selloff justified?  Are people just scared, or is there a real issue here that threatens bitcoin?  And I'm wondering if I ought to buy some at this price.
12239  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin plunges currently at $929! on: March 25, 2017, 03:11:48 AM
It basically because the number of buyers are less than number of sellers .
That's funny, because that's the explanation I always give for price movements, and it explains them pretty damn well.  You must have read Jesse Livermore's book.  But that's basically it, more sellers than buyers and the pressure on the price is downward.  As to why...who knows.  People may be sick of all this debate and perhaps see that bitcoin sucks as a currency, and that it's unnecessary as such.  It's still a great speculative instrument, though.
12240  Other / Meta / Re: Proposal to keep the forum clean of BU/SW/Fork/Split/... topics on: March 25, 2017, 03:00:07 AM
1. Locking/trashing all of them
No.

2. Making one or a couple new ones* to gather all the discussions in one place and prevent crowding up the place!
No.

3. Trash any new topic after this and redirect them to the existing topics.
Yes.

There haven't been that many *abusers* in said threads as those threads usually require *some* brainpower to remain on-topic with a decent post. I have observed an annoying amount of duplicate threads started by randoms, as you've mentioned. The staff isn't exactly the swiftest around here; let's see if anything will get done.
Agreed with all of what Lauda said.  What OP suggests amounts to censorship, and I'm not for that.  There are indeed tons of topics about the BU thing, but if you don't want to read them, don't read them.  There's no need to stifle this issue via moderation.
