12281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia joins North Korea - blocks bitcoin exchanges on: January 23, 2016, 12:19:29 PM
It seems that only dictators fear bitcoin Smiley
Bitcoin is about freedom and anonymity, 2 terms they don't like much.
I'm not sure if they really can stop bitcoin in their countries.
Maybe N. Korea can because only a few people there can use computers and Internet, under strict control.

I agree. In modern day Russia, in distinction from North Korea, it's impossible to make people stop using Bitcoin. Of course they can change the legislation and things will be different but let's hope this won't happen.
12282  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: January 22, 2016, 06:30:59 PM
Real Estate is a good investment and a great way to save money as, if you live in and rent, you can essentially live for free.
Solely rental properties are not ideal as they cost ALOT in maintenance and good properties are few and far between.
That's all I have to say about that.

Real estate is definitely a good option if you know what you are doing and have enough money for the initial investment. I would say you need more than 40k to be able to make a good profit monthly and to live off of it but as I said you need to know what you are doing.

That's not true...
Even real estate involves its own levels of risk...
If one can just turn out x times with their investment, one can lose even more if the prices get slashed, just same as Bitcoins...
The only difference will be, we won't be in bigger loss than we see in BTC...

there is no investment without risk. SO yeah, even real estate can be risky
but real estate as an investment option may work in a stable and safe countries only. imagine if you bought a house then a war happen,  your house will worth nothing. so before investing in it, one must think about it and study the country conditions carefully

I can't agree more but I want to add one thing. No matter how carefully you study a county's conditions you can't know for sure that war will not start in that country very soon. There are many examples, Eastern Ukraine is just one of them.
12283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did anyone buy during $1200? on: January 22, 2016, 06:25:25 PM
I sold 10.5 or so BTC back then, didn't purchase any though. Would of purchased if I needed though.

Do you think it is good time to purchase now? The price has dropped since the $1200 price reached in 2013.

Yes it's especially good if you can buy under $500
It will be easier for you to get profits out of that.

yes. thats my strategy anything under 500$ is a buy for me. btc reaching 1000 is not to far fetch , so a double in money is always nice Cheesy

I hope that you are right. When do you think $1k will be reached? IMO this will happen in the beginning of the next year but I have a feeling that you think it will happen much sooner.

Now Bitcoin is under $400 btw so it's definitely time to buy.

12285  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Richest 62 people as wealthy as half of world's population on: January 22, 2016, 02:47:05 PM
The vast and growing gap between rich and poor has been laid bare in a new Oxfam report showing that the 62 richest billionaires own as much wealth as the poorer half of the world’s population.

Timed to coincide with this week’s gathering of many of the super-rich at the annual World Economic Forum in Davos, the report calls for urgent action to deal with a trend showing that 1% of people own more wealth than the other 99% combined.

http://www.theguardian.com/business/2016/jan/18/richest-62-billionaires-wealthy-half-world-population-combined

That's too bad IMO. If the richest people of the world will not learn how to limit their needs (like collecting sport cars, air planes etc.) the whole modern civilization will collapse sooner than they think. Poor people most likely will gain from the collapse because they already have nothing to lose, but many people like us who are somewhere in the middle will be deprived of many things which we like.
12286  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?! on: January 22, 2016, 02:09:38 PM
Every time, for as long as I remember, that I go on bitcointalk, everyone keeps posting "BTC IS DEAD" "SELL" etc... And then a few Sr/Hero members come and explain how thats wrong.

I just don't get it.

Aren't we used to the price fluctuating by now? Whats with all the crying/moaning about price bubbles, crashing, inflations, Russia, China blablablablablablaaaaa!

Jeez... Do some research before posting, I saw one post which got LOADS of attention, yet the first post was done by paint, with an unlabelled graph which showed wrong data!

This is getting to the point where we are affecting newer members or gullible people into selling/dumping all their coins instead of keeping them. I mean when I come on the forum, I see that its crashing, why would I buy in?

I think we need to stop giving the panicking people attention and focus more on positive sides.

I like the fact that this was posted almost 2 years ago. And here we are 2 years later. Bitcoin is not only not dead but is rising. Yes, it was around $600 (remember the bulb) in February 2014 and now it's only around $400 but give it several months and the price will be around $600 again only this time without any chance to go down in the future.
12287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what happens if the bitcoin disappear ? on: January 22, 2016, 01:54:51 PM
what happens if the next 10 years, bitcoin disappeared and worthless?

Well I'd say not much, the life would be like it was before the January 2009. But this will never happen because the life is going forward not backward. Bitcoin will always be here with us until the end of times. )
12288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a way to earn at least $1 in BTC per hour? on: January 22, 2016, 09:56:38 AM
Signature campaign is the best i guess, though im not earning with that yet but waiting to grow my rank to jr. member and then i will also join one. Smiley

Yeah, you are right. A good Signature campaign is the best way to earn some BTC I've found so far. While it's not exactly $1 in BTC per hour, it's more like $2-$3 per day but it's pretty cool nevertheless. So good luck with growing your rank and with joining one!
12289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How 1BTC can eventually be worth $11M on: January 22, 2016, 09:32:56 AM
15 million coins in circulation is a very low volume. if you hold at least 1 BTC you may have a nice surprise sooner or later.

I predict any value between $5,000 and $50,000 in the following 3-10 years.

I like your optimistic calculations and I like OP's even more. Indeed if all the money in the world will be replaced by Bitcoin we'll have $241 trillion / 21 million =   $11 476 190 per Bitcoin. I think this or something similar might happen in the future, but this future most likely is more than a hundred years ahead. What awaits us in the near future, in the following 5-10 years, is $10k per Bitcoin which is also not bad at all. So I guess it's time to buy. )
12290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My Method for Easy BTC on: January 21, 2016, 05:16:40 PM
it is big scam dont play and waste your time . they will delete your account also after win.....Smiley

What makes you say so? IMO FastDice is a decent site. I'm glad I worked in their Signature Campaign and now I'm gambling there from time to time. C'mon, man, they are good. Never heard about any deleted accounts.
12291  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you support or oppose the death penalty? on: January 21, 2016, 03:26:22 PM

People all over the world are taking other peoples lives so they should be punished and have to go through the trauma their victims did! Why do people think it's acceptable to murder someone? I only think the death penalty should be brought on the worst crimes such as murder. If a man has taken the life of another man then he deserves death.

What about medical malpractice or medical error even? Do you think the person who mistakenly took someone's life still deserves the death penalty? What about road traffic accidents? Does a policeman or a sooldier deserves the death penalty if he took a life?

This is a very complex question and I voted NO, because I think it is better to let a murderer to live in some cases than occasionally kill innocent people.
12292  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Cameron says if you don’t learn English, you may be deported on: January 21, 2016, 02:24:40 PM
What he's saying makes perfect sense in the context of radical islam, it's not so bad for other countries that don't have these kinds of problems, but if you only understand the language of the people that oppress you and tell you what to believe rather than exposing you to other ideas then it stands to reason that's what you're going to believe, it doesn't matter if you're in a new country, you can still be isolated if you don't know the language and don't know how to communicate with other people.

I can't believe there are twats out there who would criticise him for pointing that out since it's so simple, but then again, I live in this shit hole and know exactly the kind of people that would criticise him, it seems that they've toned down the rhetoric now though because of Cologne but I wouldn't hold me breath because it won't be long since they go around screaming at people again and calling them racist for pointing all this out.

What he's saying is a perfect nonsense because it concerns only Muslim women. He wants immigrants to learn English? Fair enough. Then he should create an education system in order for all migrants to learn English while being temporary accepted in the country. It's not a bad idea if it's well done cause learning the common language is mandatory in order to integrate correctly a population.

Problem here is that he's just giving some money for Muslim women. What about all the men? Or what about all the other religions/cultures/nationalities? That means if I'm a Senegal male migrant it's ok for me not to learn English?

It proves that he's only looking for voters, that he doesn't give a fuck about immigration and their conditions.

This might be true, at least partly: I think that all the politicians are only looking for voters. On the other hand when they are trying to attract more voters they are doing good things to society too. And that's a good thing that people who don't know English will be able to learn it with the support from the Government.
12293  Economy / Economics / Re: I'm not gonna sell any coin. on: January 21, 2016, 11:45:19 AM
As you see, the Bitcoin is crashing and trying to break a new low until it stop.
But I won't sell any Bitcoin at this time, I believe it will rise again as it always do. Smiley

haha, you were damn right! The price of Bitcoin has raised more than 15% since your post. It is $417 right now and Lets' hope it will be $450 again very soon (I mean it will take 2-3 days not more IMO).
12294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever won a prize in Freebitco.in Lottery? If yes, how much? on: January 21, 2016, 11:16:11 AM
The only way a won on freebitco.in was through their hourly faucet. Winning around 499 Satoshi per hour for eight hours a day translates to 3992 Satoshi per day. I realized I could make more on primedice using their faucet. On unlucky day, I can make at least 350000 Satoshi from their faucet compared to 3992 on freebitco.in. Their lottery is the worst that I have ever seen. Their multiplier is horrible

Their multiplier is horrible I agree. And their lottery is something I never heard someone win with. But their faucet is honest at least and sometimes you might have $0.2 from it as I several times had had and maybe even more.

Although I love PrimeDice I can't see how is it possible to make 350000 Satoshi from their faucet as you said.
12295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I feel pity for Mike Hearn on: January 21, 2016, 09:53:09 AM
I don't feel any pity for him, just disgust.

He doesn't understand the mathematics of emergence from chaos.

Bitcoin will eventually fix itself. I have as much faith in Bitcoin as I do in mathematics.

I agree with this. No person, whatever mistakes he/she makes, can change the rules of mathematics. One plus one will be equal to two regardless of anyone's actions.

As we can see Bitcoin is going up again btw.

Can you name another business where problems don't get solved, and people just bury their heads in the sand hoping the problem would disappear?
~

There are a lot of them. In fact all the businesses we can think of have their problems and some of them never solved but "the show must go on" as they say.

I don't like to make unfounded staments so here's the list of unsolved problems in physics for example:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_unsolved_problems_in_physics

And there many other fields you know and all of them have their unsolved problems, but the life is going on nevertheless.
12297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever won a prize in Freebitco.in Lottery? If yes, how much? on: January 20, 2016, 05:14:53 PM
My luck isnt so good to win anyway Cheesy but always hoping to win some.
Have you won ever in it?

No, I haven't. Actually I think that freebitco.in is a decent site, they give you as minimum $0.002 per hour per visit and also you might win up to $200 there depositing nothing. For example I've won $0.2 four times from their free rolls.

The LOTTERY you mentioned is a pretty new thing there, they are running it several months I think. Every free roll they give you 2 free tickets and also you can buy as much as you want for the price about 0.00000018 BTC each.

When the Lottery just started I used to buy thousands of those tickets but I have never won. Now I'm "playing" with the free tickets they give.
12298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitfinex does not let me withdraw my Coins ! (DANGER) on: January 20, 2016, 03:49:36 PM
"looks like i accidently pressed the freeze account button in my email"

one thing I need to say their support is incredible fast.
bitfinex support is great but transaction time is still way too slow.(bitcoin transactions take at least a couple hours)

Looks like everything is dealt with in a good way already.  Smiley I missed the original post but as I can see everythig's okay.

That's good because the least thing we need right now is another negative Bitcoin related news.
12299  Economy / Economics / Re: Will You buy a pizza at 10,000 sat? on: January 20, 2016, 10:22:20 AM
I would definitely buy a pizza for 10,000 sat, that would be less than $0.04 now thanks to the morons who caused panic selling.

Also I agree with other commentators that one day 10,000 sat will be a decent price for a pizza. I even think that this will happen earlier than 2116.
12300  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: New Mining Calculator Featuring Multiple Currencies and Responsive Profit Chart on: January 20, 2016, 10:12:53 AM
It's nice - but I find the BitcoinWisdom mining calculator much better still.  Yours only calculates your earnings after the next difficulty increase.  In reality, a miner needs to be able to model their returns after each difficulty increase.  Without taking that into consideration, a miner will have an over optimistic expectation of return.  Also - you should factor in the initial cost of hardware as well.  With a couple more updates, I think this would be great!

I agree with the sentnence in bold, but I don't think that Difficulty Increase were not taking into account there. I mean I don't think that more complex calculation will change the picture to such an extent that we should worry about it.

Overall good job OP! Thank you for the simple and in the same time pretty accurate Calculator!
