12301  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Sending bitcoins on: February 13, 2015, 06:53:25 AM
I need to send 4BTC's to a friend of mine, I have 4.43249255 total, how do I figure out what I need to send with the fee?

Thanks

Is this the first time you're sending bitcoin? How did you became a Sr. Member without even knowing that?

Above replies have explained a lot about how much fee you're suppose to send, just don't make the mistake of sending 0.0001 with 4 btc fee, I have seen some people do that. Just double check everything before hitting send.

I could be wrong but maybe a account someone bought had a 2 month break in posting.  But that is just speculation.  He could just be someone who only saves(Unlikely but possible).

I run at 1.007TH/s on 2 miners with stock setting. I want my 0.001TH/s Bitmain!

Joke aside you don't have more clues about your corrosion/pump problem Opentoe?

Total of 6 C1's and 4 pumps already died. In the processing RMA'ing the last two. The one that just got replaced died on me again, so this is a second time it is going to get replaced. Ironically the miner that forced me to keep the fill cap open is currently running on a different pump with the fill cap closed. No pressure being created inside. Same exact thing is happening to my father C1's now. He has to keep the fill cap open. I suggested to him to RMA the pump to begin with and try another type of pump. The loop is supposed to he closed so no air/contaminants get inside to corrode the coolant. Soon as my father receives his "other" non syscooling pump and it works with a sealed closed looped with no builded pressure, then the problem points to the pumps.

He flushed his entire system out last Sunday. Cleaned everything out and filled the loop with distilled water and a couple kill coils. Give it an hour, unscrew the fill cap and already you can hear the air escaping. I seriously thing some of the pumps are cavitating maybe creating air in the loop and slowly builds up. i don't even have to use the hose clamps if I didn't want to, since no pressure builds up at all. Algae my A$$.

We are in the process of elimination right now, and so far right now everything is pointing to the pump. Apparently this outcome is not happening on all the pumps, since I still have two right now working fine with a closed loosed.

I'll be shipping out my two defective pumps out to tomorrow vis UPS. One doesn't turn on at all and the other will run for 20 minutes and then just stop.

It stinks to put extra money in them.  But since i bought the ebay pump and molex to 3 pin adapter my life got much easier.   I suggest you think about it to get stability.

As far as the one that one that has weird pressure and ugly buildup I don't think above will fix it.  You might eventually take it apart to look at cooling blocks.  But that would be a huge pain to put back together.

The weird pressure one is fixed. I got my hands on one of those Ebay pumps, dumped the dirty hoses and flushed out all the old stuff the best I could and even tried that Ironside coolant again (blue this time) and it is running fine. I'm still getting my original defective pumps replaced for back up purposes only. My father is going through the same problems right now, so I'm trying to help him out. I told him to RMA his pump that seized up, but is still going to purchase that one from Ebay which is working ok with mine. He's first going to try it with distilled water and kill coils, and if that doesn't work will try some special coolant he found on FrozenCPU. We are still getting a return on each C1 running then at home, it's not a lot but we want to keep them going for as long as possible. We need to shoot some Viagra into the bitcoin USD/price.

Distilled water with a kill coil is insufficient..

The kill coil (silver) acts as a Biocide (only) to stop algae.

You also need an anti-corrosive additive in your Distilled water.

The pre-mixed coolants have all the additives already in them to stop corrosion and bacteria.

I have had good results with this
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/17472/ex-liq-262/XSPC_EC6_High_Performance_Liquid_Cooling_Premix_Coolant_-_1L_-_UV_Green.html

The thing is I think he mentioned it happened in a hour.   That seems very quick to be corrosion and bacteria to the level he showed.  I personally use coolant aswell in mine.  But I think a hour is awful quick for the amount of build up for it to be corrosion unless the inside is just horrible.
12303  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER C1 Discussion and Support Thread on: February 13, 2015, 12:09:18 AM
"Knock on Wood" My C1 & Syscooling pump has been running 2-months non stop. Sucks to see people having problems with theirs, I have hopes that a C2 will be made one day. The peace and quite really takes the edge off of my girl. With her not having to hear whirling fans at a high RPM, makes everyone happy.

I personally am not holding high hopes of a C2 being made.  You will see syscooling is selling a S5 kit already.  That makes me think there is a good chance C1 is last of it's line.
12304  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [HELP] Starting to mine BTCs [MINING SOFTWARE] on: February 12, 2015, 11:20:33 PM
I have 2.0 GhZ CPU

What BTCs do i get per hour on mining software called "GUIMiner"

It will cost more in electricity then you make.  And it would be VERY small amount.

Biggest advice if it sounds to good to be true.... it is.  Watch out for investments that offer huge returns.  Never invest more then you can lose.

Also look into safe wallets.  Cold storage and paper wallets.  Shamless plug for my signature it is a coin you have private key in.  There are a lot of nice hardware or software to keep coins safe.
12307  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling 4 Antminer S3+ miners (2 possibly sold) on: February 12, 2015, 03:48:36 AM
Just a lot of trouble selling on here with offers then no word back.  I am closing thread and selling on auction sites.

Happy Mining all.
12308  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling 4 Antminer S3+ miners (Looking to sell as set all at once) on: February 12, 2015, 03:10:36 AM
Before I start I would like for you to look at my post count...not to high...

Just starting some mining and I am up to 2.0 TH/s or so from various miners(4 S3+'s 1 S1, and an R-box).

I purchased to more power supplies then what I needed at the time...

If your interested in splitting these up in groups of two, I'd be willing to purchase 2. Right now my budget I have set for myself/wife doesn't allow for the purchase of all 4...but I'd rather you not take these to Ebay.

Zipcode is 73099

I would pay escrow fees if needed

At $100 shipped(or BTC equivalent at the time of purchase) per unit  I think i would bite on 2 units today/tomorrow...If you still have the other two in 4 weeks, I would be interested in the other two.(need the budget to look right for me...paying off student loans/house/car are eating me alive, however I allow myself a small "fun" pool to dip out of)

Wish you well my friend.

I am willing to do 2 for the price mentioned.  I created a BTC address for it: removed using ebay

Please send BTC to address above and send me your full address in PM.  Edited post to show 2 possibly sold.
12309  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling 4 Antminer S3+ miners (Looking to sell as set all at once) on: February 12, 2015, 02:49:52 AM
I am considering the 1.7 BTC.  I have sent for pokey's zipcode to check shipping.

*Please note I will not be sending any BTC address for payment to anyone through PM system there are to many scammers here.  If I accept a offer I will post in this thread the address from my account.
1.71 *218 (bitstamp rate)/4 is ~$93 each minus ~$20 shipping each would net ~$75 for each one. I really don't see this being the market price for your miners.

Add the above to the fact that this person claims to be doing a lot of deals yet has not sent nor received trust for most deals and claims to have been using escrow despite neither sending nor receiving trust for any escrow. I would be careful dealing with this guy, especially if he wants to "test" your hardware before buying it Wink

Thanks for warning I have not received zipcode from him. I asked that first as I want to know shipping before agreeing to any deal.   If this continues I might go to ebay.  And actually 75 is not to far off from ebay.  I know this for just selling one and it was a S3 not the Plus like these 4.

Please if anyone has a offer let me know.

I had no idea s3's can go 400+ mhz!  Amazing how did you do that?

I guess he means gh/s Tongue

I appolgize that was a typo.  Trying to get back a room I was using for some of my miners.   It is GH/s I changed above to see.

And I should know better soon I sold a S3 (not one of these S3 +'s) and can get a better idea on what my shipping costs are.  I need to weight and measure box to get a idea.
12312  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling 4 Antminer S3+ miners on: February 11, 2015, 09:56:13 PM
Offer 1.7 shipped.

Thank you for offer but I will have to decline as you wanted shipped for that.  Thank you though.

Also for history sake I changed title of thread to indicate I am wanting to sell all 4 at once.
12313  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling 4 Antminer S3+ miners on: February 11, 2015, 09:52:56 PM
Picture to show I have them.  All 4 are in a row.  Also behind them is a AC unit they have been treated nice with cool air during their life so far.

12314  Economy / Computer hardware / Selling 4 Antminer S3+ miners (Moving to auction site no longer for sale). on: February 11, 2015, 09:41:14 PM
No longer for sale - Closing thread

I am going to sell 4 Antminer S3 plus miners.   All one owner and I have had then since shipped from Bitmain. Below is speeds after 15 hours of running.

After around 15 hours of running they have the following averages:
Unit 1: 489 GHz
Unit 2: 478 GHz
Unit 3: 433 GHz (1X chip at 237.5 freq when running)
Unit 4: 490 GHz

I am looking for offers for the entire batch of 4 miners.   Shipping only to US (I do not want to have to deal with custom's and high shipping prices).   Depending on offers I will either sell on here or a auction site. If I'm better off selling elsewhere I will close thread.

Feel free to post or send PM of offers.  As always happy mining.

Happy to see some HAM gear on here.  Just incase anyone is thinking about this it can be a fun hobby.  With study prep guides test's are not that hard if you do just a few hours of preparation (Possibly lot less depending on your knowledge).
12316  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 1.2 terra hash btc am v2 mining rig for sale on: February 11, 2015, 09:24:46 PM
You will want to move this thread over to hardware sales.  Also with 1 activity you will want to try to get some well known person who does escrow or you likely will not sell.
12317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Only have enough $$ to buy one mining rig... SHA-256 vs Scrypt Mining?! on: February 11, 2015, 07:32:35 PM
SHA is the easier one.  I would suggest it for starting.  If you go Scrypt you have lot's of options of coins but it takes some research and luck to get max profit.
12318  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: The next generation of mininghardware - Q1/Q2 2015 on: February 11, 2015, 07:31:16 PM
It'll probably be Spondoolies Tech or KNCMiner bringing the next generation ASIC chips.

I remember KNC were the first to the market with 28nm nanoprocess and the first with 20nm nanoprocess, so if that trend continues, then they'll be the first with "Solar" 16nm chips:

https://www.kncminer.com/news/news-118

FYI, this is not an endorsement of KNC, as they've proven some shadiness with their business practices, QA and shipping disasters, suspect self mining KNC Cloud, and bungled pre order model with Titan.  Just stating facts about being the first to market with the newest chips.

I wonder how many people would even bother with them if they are indeed the first ones to come out with the newest tech... I sure as hell wouldn't

I would trust SP.  They always seem to be good on making it fair if it under preforms.  KNC on other hand I would not touch.

With BTC so low I think it will slow down next gen.   I think current gen underclocked will be best option for a while.
12319  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Private Key lost / never had one... on: February 11, 2015, 06:12:29 PM
ok "thank" you all for those answers. But I got another issue with Bitcoins.. I transfered money to a Bitcoin address, but two days later, the address was empty...?! Blockchain: https://blockchain.info/address/1MpMSn5KyUTrR6kUHDHoin4fyQAy6xJNHz

Hmm. Seems that you also don't have the control on this wallet. Why did you send that amount to that address in the first place?

He say's "darknet" so i would not ask why as chances are we don't really want to know.

The story seems to change a lot.  If it's in a site you cannot access or a address that sent coin's to someone it is gone.   I hope you did not lose much even though your usage is not what we want bitcoin tied to.
12320  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Private Key lost / never had one... on: February 11, 2015, 03:12:02 AM
Ok, I remembered my password for Agora but there is nothing, so itīs at Silkroad, another Darknet site, but Silkroad is down. So I have no chance to get the BTC`s back..? I got no private key when creating it on Silkroad.

I will not ask why you used darknet as I don't really want to know.  But yes you have lost it.

In future use a well known wallet (I suggest you look into cold wallet or paper wallets).  I hope you didn't lose much.
