12301  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Your reasons for not accepting paypal for btc exchange on: March 29, 2015, 06:51:30 PM

well not anymore, because in January I issued a chargeback with my blockchain address as the part of evidence, and my paypal account is still kicking...
and no, I didn't scam anyone. the guy I was trading with is stalling me with nonsense talk so I did it.

"PayPal doesn't like bitcoin, as the bitcoin network is in direct competition to it. They will ban accounts that have anything to do with Bitcoins, and freeze their balance." Reference: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Buying_Bitcoins_(the_newbie_version)

Did you use Ebay for the exchange? I still wouldn't take the risk of using bitcoins when they are banning accounts for its use. It's too risky.
12302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Someone with 2 factor authentication enabled [SMS] [Blockchain] on: March 29, 2015, 06:41:36 PM
Did you receive a confirmation code before by blockchain on your mobile? If this is your first time, you can try resetting this option: https://blockchain.info/wallet/reset-two-factor.

If you have been able to login before and now you are facing problems, you can contact blockchain support: https://blockchain.info/wallet/support-pages
12303  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Your reasons for not accepting paypal for btc exchange on: March 29, 2015, 06:25:50 PM
If PayPal suspects that the user is trading with bitcoins, they freeze the account and hold the funds.

no they don't. if they do that then there wouldn't be people buying bitcoins using paypal on this forum

That's because people don't mentioned "Bitcoins" in their transaction note but if by mistake a member who sends PayPal funds for bitcoins and write that in the note, PP freezes that account as it's NOT allowed to exchange Bitcoins for PP.
12304  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Scotland to ban smoking in cars with children on: March 29, 2015, 06:10:02 PM
Scotland is to ban smoking in cars with children, bringing it into line with forthcoming legislation in England and Wales to protect young people from secondhand smoke.

The Scottish government announced it would back the smoking prohibition (children in motor vehicles) (Scotland) bill, which has been put forward by the Liberal Democrat MSP Jim Hume.

The bill, which is hoped will receive royal assent before the next Holyrood elections in May 2016, covers all cars, although Hume acknowledged that as it progresses discussion may take place about exempting convertibles, when they have the roof fully down, to bring it into line with English laws.

“This legislation will ensure that we can put a stop to the 60,000 journeys being made in Scotland each week where children are being exposed to dangerous secondhand smoke,” he said.

Are they serious? Where is the freedom of choice to do whatever you want (but in the respect of the other people)? Can you say your opinion here? Thanks.

Smoking is dangerous for both, the person who is smoking and the person who is sitting beside him, so I completely support this. Children who inhale this will suffer if their parents smoke before them. I know many people who themselves prefer to smoke in a separate place to avoid causing any problem for their family and kids while those are are smoking before their kids deserve this ban. They should be considerate when they have kids beside them.

If PayPal suspects that the user is trading with bitcoins, they freeze the account and hold the funds.
but why?

Because Bitcoins are used for illegal activities mainly like gambling, money laundering etc. and hence PayPal doesn't support this currency.

12307  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitvisitor sugestions on: March 29, 2015, 04:57:50 PM
I used to earn bitcoins from Bitvisitor.com but the pay is very less and plus I need to wait for 5 minutes each time. It would be better if they could make the time 60 seconds and increase the number of bits offered for each ad viewed.
12308  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: [WTS] Flipkart evouchers via Payza/PM/OKPay/BTC on: March 29, 2015, 04:50:05 PM

12309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When did you first hear about Bitcoin? on: March 29, 2015, 04:29:50 PM
I got to know about bitcoins in 2013 but wasn't interested in it as Bitcoins are not legally recognized and there were only faucets and coinad from where I could earn bitcoins. Later in 2014, I came to this forum and started learning new years of mining bitcoins and earning bitcoins for small jobs and campaigns.
12310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What should I do with my BTC? on: March 29, 2015, 04:25:26 PM
You can use it to buy a product online: http://www.bitcoinvalues.net/who-accepts-bitcoins-payment-companies-stores-take-bitcoins.html

Else members out here lend the bitcoins to other trusted members for a collateral and earn more bitcoins as interest.

12312  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin prices fall $250 --> $240 where next ? $500 ? on: March 29, 2015, 03:52:04 PM
I lost $2 because of the price fluctuation from $280-$245 because I owned about 0.06 BTC. It's currently on a decline and so it might reach $230-$220 soon not $500.
12313  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Multi-signature: what it is and a list of services on: March 29, 2015, 01:56:01 PM
Some more websites which offer multisignatures to protect the wallet:

https://bitcoinarmory.com/

***********************

Armory is the most secure and full featured solution available for users and institutions to generate and store Bitcoin private keys. This means users never have to trust the Armory team. Satoshi would be proud!

Users are empowered with multiple encrypted Bitcoin wallets and permanent one-time ‘paper backups’. Armory pioneered cold storage and distributed multi-signature. Bitcoin cold storage is a system for securely storing Bitcoins on a completely air-gapped offline computer.

***********************

However I find it a tedious job as you need more than one party to confirm a single transaction and it can lead to a delay in sending and receiving bitcoins.
12314  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do islam hates people? on: March 28, 2015, 08:59:44 PM
It's not the religion that teaches a person to hate but it's the person who should be blamed. The person is inhuman if he/she commits any crime and no religion supports these activities. No religion teaches to HATE another religion/person.
12315  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [BIT-X] Signature Campaign - Discussion on: March 28, 2015, 08:25:21 PM
@marcotheminer,

can I ask you what do you think about the payment directly the our personal bitcoin address (instead to the bit-x one?).

You can do this already.

Nope. "2. Add your BIT-X address (with a 3) in the 'Other Contact Info' field here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;sa=forumProfile"

You get paid to your Bit-x address and not any other wallet.
12316  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Selling BCT forum accounts [BANNED] on: March 28, 2015, 08:10:08 PM
Just checked this thread back. I don't really see this as ban evading because i was banned for low quality posts, NOT for scamming, so if i create new account and do fine quality posts im good to go?

Some more information about accounts.

All accounts are neutral or positive trust.

They were banned anywhere from 4 to 7 months ago.

It says that i need to contact admin via email regarding to the bans.

If your account was permanently banned, you are evading your ban as such a member isn't allowed to create a new account at all and if he/she does create an account, that account also will be banned. You need to send an email to the admin to get your earlier accounts unbanned and then you can sell it here as nobody would buy a permanently banned account.
12317  Other / Meta / Re: Show the exact time a trust rating was left on: March 28, 2015, 07:54:19 PM
It would be useful if we get a notification via email when some user leaves us feedback and that reference also can be used to prove the exact time the feedback was left.
12318  Economy / Services / Re: weekly paid job , a girl and full member above is a must on: March 28, 2015, 03:11:34 PM
If this wasn't about Gambling, I could have done this job being a female. However, since you have employed male staff, you can edit your main post.
12319  Other / Meta / Re: Appeal to stop these illegal goods/guides from being sold here on: March 28, 2015, 02:35:07 PM
The first one was indeed obviously illegal. The second one, not as much, and the third is definitely not illegal. But yes, illegal goods aren't allowed on the forum, if you see them you can report them and they can be removed. This is a public forum, not a deepweb site.

I already reported it but I thought that my report will be ignored as the member said it's allowed here.
12320  Other / Meta / Appeal to stop these illegal goods/guides from being sold here on: March 28, 2015, 02:08:37 PM
I want to appeal to the MODs to stop these illegal guides and goods from being sold in this forum:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1005337.0

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1005344.0

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=960730.0

All these things are OBVIOUSLY ILLEGAL and members who are selling this are proud of doing so as it is ALLOWED here. Can't this be stopped?
