Hi guys , anyone know good comapnies that offer free trial for 7 days or more ? I want a simple Windows VPS with free trial
or something that sells them for cheap , Bitcoin as payment method would be nice . (I prefer the first option though)
Why do you need a Windows VPS for GUI? Well get a Linux VPS and install Gnome GUI. I think DigitalOcean stills gives free 10$ credits. Wink

Use short url service to post long link lol.. also it doesn't work now! (It was in 2013  Tongue).

I can do that ? because all I need is to access a browser dude Shocked if I can do that using linux then let me know

If you're gonna be using for less than a month, ise Vultr.com, they charge by the hour. Smiley

12307  Economy / Services / Re: PHP Brainwallet needed on: August 25, 2015, 01:29:01 PM
Hi, i need to get out of my Passphrase:
1. Private Key
2. Address

0.04 BTC, Please PM

If you mean you want to recover your wallet from your passphrase when you used brainwallet.org then the website is permanatly closed as you can see here : https://brainwallet.org/
However you still can download Github project and run it offline on your PC to get your stuff back : https://github.com/ryepdx/brainwallet-node-js I'am not sure if this is the same or how updated is it but should be since it's forked from brainwallet.org (cant find the original one)

http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/18103/what-happens-when-the-21-million-cap-is-reached

"Miners (who will no longer be mining, but will be validating transactions in the blockchain) will earn transaction fees. What those fees amount to or are to be interpreted as are hypothetical at this point, but might be imagined to be a transaction cost that ensures the security of the ledger."
12309  Other / MultiBit / Re: Moving wallet in Multibit Classic 0.5.16 - somehow lost all BTC and wallet on: August 25, 2015, 09:53:10 AM
Do you have the Multibit.key file aswell ? if yes then it's pretty simple, just do as it says here : https://multibit.org/en/help/v0.5/help_movingAWallet.html the Moving from MultiBit to Blockchain.info part .

12311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitcoinXT nodes , what the hell ? on: August 25, 2015, 09:43:57 AM
It is pretty easy to explain:
You can make nodes, that don't do anything at all. You might be able to make 100 nodes on your PC, if you know how(I guess it is even more)

BitcoinXT or Bitcoin Core is just a string the clients send. You can change it, when ever you like.

So, node-count is easily manipulated. That is pretty much the reason, why Satoshi invented POW in the first place.

Thank you for your explanation but the manipulation level is so fucking high lol ...
It just dropped back to 6555 nodes for the Non-XT nodes and for the mined blocks it went from 5 to 4 ? how is that possible ? shouldn't be done once it's mined ? I mean if it's mined then it's mined , how it can decrease  Huh http://xtnodes.com/xt_blocks_pie_chart.php
12312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / BitcoinXT nodes , what the hell ? on: August 25, 2015, 07:53:54 AM
What the actual hell is going on here , I'am pretty sure it's just a shitty counter and it's not real nodes or anything ...
As some of you may know , website has been ddosed but it's back up right now : https://voat.co/v/bitcoin/comments/446186 (nop it's not Satoshi)

Look this chart right here , we was simply at around 900 nodes like we are now and suddenly it went to 4600 nodes like hell and now it's back to around 900 however the Non-XT nodes are at 9000 which probably never happened on the last year/ few months ?  Undecided It seems like they are the BitcoinXT nodes that we had for few hours or whatever (~4000 as I said) + the real Bitcoin Core nodes

Something Phishy is  happening here or I'am missing something that's for sure

12314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin Core Shuts Down Upon Boot Runtime Error |Can't find supposed resolutions on: August 24, 2015, 06:38:12 PM
OK I found the AppData folder. And from what I understand if I delete all the files/folders in the AppData folder and reinstall the whole Bitcoin Core client that I should be good then? Am I supposed to delete all those files and folders and just immediately fire up Bitcoin Core to re-download the whole block and all that or am I supposed to delete all the files/folders in the AppData/Roamin/Bitcoin folder then uninstall Bitcoin Core, reinstall Bitcoin Core, and THEN fire it back up?Huh

Keep the wallet.dat before deleting the whole stuff otherwise you will certainly lose your coins this time , if you Reinstall and you stil lhave the same problem , Import your BTC here : https://blockchain.info/wallet/import-wallet  then send them to a secure Desktop Wallet like Electrum or Multibit which dosen't need to download the whole blockchain or anything .
12315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Kim DotCom: ‘China in Big Trouble. Buy Bitcoin Now’ on: August 24, 2015, 05:04:01 PM

Internet industry magnate and financial markets prognosticator Kim DotCom says now is the time to buy bitcoin in light of the Chinese stock market meltdown and a worsening outlook for the global economy as a whole.

Big trouble in china

The Chinese financial markets have had a long, hard summer. Since June 12, domestic market bubbles have burst, forcing massive action to counter it by the People’s Bank of China, which is majority-owned by the Chinese Government.

Last month, when the primary Shanghai Index fell over 8%, the People's Bank of China devalued the renminbi by almost 2%. This level of market manipulation has previous been only reserved for the American market and now Kim DotCom is throwing gasoline into the fire, tweeting:

DotCom’s previous fortune telling has had mixed results. During the beginning of the “Grexit” crisis several weeks ago, he said the “markets will crash.” Since he used the word “markets,” implying more than one, which usually includes the New York Stock Exchange, he can at best get partial credit for the corresponding fall in China.

He also recommended buying gold at the time, though the price of the precious metal has not taken off either. This doesn’t mean it is not good advice, but no short-term results have been seen due to the “Grexit”.

So , whatever Kim says , let's buy and hold people Grin
12316  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: LEAKED: Bitcoin wallet from Blocktrail on: August 24, 2015, 04:24:41 PM
BlockTrail is the most well designed Block explorer out ther e, it would be nice if they launch their wallet explorer , I personally would trust my coins on them more then I do with Blockchain.info and since it's with Multi signature , it's even more secure .
12317  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Are you selling for Bitcoin? on: August 24, 2015, 02:40:56 PM
Sorry, i was not clear.

My question was if people are selling items through a website and get paid with bitcoins.

An example is eBay, where a guy sing in, sell an item and get paid.

Thank you

Oh well yes there is https://cryptothrift.com/ but it's not that well known or well used .
However there is something big which will come out on November as first release because it was in Beta for long time now ... https://openbazaar.org/ It's totally Decentralized .
12318  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Are you selling for Bitcoin? on: August 24, 2015, 02:28:30 PM
Hello,

Do you sell for bitcoins?

If yes, are there any good services?

Thank you

Selling what exactly ? if you want to buy regular goods like on Amazon then there is Purse.io , they offer a very good rates .
Basically it works like this : Someone look for a product and someone who is looking for BTC , you give him BTC and he pay with an alternative method so you give him BTC . that easy
12319  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If using cryptocurrencies become a crime, will you be a criminal? on: August 24, 2015, 02:14:46 PM
So If using cryptocurrencies become a crime, will you be a criminal AND use it?

Note: Before you reply remember  CIA/FBI/NSA/South-park/...   Grin

By mentioning those agencies I'd say yo uare speaking only about USA , even if those intelligence agencies on the whole world but there isn't much they can do if you are out their country .
Countries cannot agree on one law that make the cryptoo currencies a crime, just impossible but most likely I will keep using it yes .
12320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coursera.org - Princeton University - Bitcoin on: August 24, 2015, 12:51:17 PM
Will they accept payments in bitcoin for the certificate (if any)? Grin

Sounds interesting, I think I will finally use Coursera again (I registered to take the machine learning course, Mr. Ng was a really good professor).

Honestly I don't really know , once I was taking some negociation skills and some crap , and when I had to pay I asked for scholarship and they gave it to me without issues .
