People are stealing GPS units out of tractors. They only cost $8,000 USD to replace. The only thing they're good for is steering the tractor sans hands and are accurate to one inch during planting, harvesting, etc.

I'm returning from the grave with a new and improved persona - who am I?

Smiley  So I've decided to get into mining with a couple of decent laptops

I hope you didn't buy the laptops with the intention of using them to mine. You won't even make enough BTC to pay for the electricity, and there is a chance that unless they are more than just "decent", your laptops won't earn any BTC at all.

I have been developing a  self reliant renewable energy source and machine that uses hydrogen

I hope you aren't one of those people that claim to be able to use water as fuel (by burning it).

Afraid so! He claimed to do it, then disappeared after only one post. Proof that the government reads this forum. Poof! And he's gone. Next, please!

It looks like there was a spike in enrollment here, possible due to the Wordpress news. We surpassed 70K sooner than I thought it would happen.
12328  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: scammer tag request on: November 19, 2012, 03:15:18 PM
Relevant facts:
  • I cannot repay my current bitcoin debt
  • I am addicted to gambling
  • I cannot control myself
  • I will pay back every loan over time

I'm sorry. I will pay everyone back as I buy bitcoin.

I can't stop with the satoshidice. That game is evil. I really thought I was going to hit "big" one day. Every time I would hit big, the standard would raise until I lost control. Big became bigger. I was paying every loan off quickly and was satisfied with the profits + 10 to 20btc.

Every time I paid off my loans I would end up losing my profits on bitzino, satoshidice and seals with clubs.
I would get another loan and do the same, until I couldn't repay. I asked for a year long debt consolidation to a payment that I could manage.
Got more loans and eventually was 100% debt free with a pretty hefty profit.
I lost all the profits. Every loan I have out with anyone right now has been a failure. I thought I was invincible but I kept losing. Until now. I've got to stop this. Its already way out of control.

I was addicted to online poker for years when I was younger. They made it illegal to play to U.S.A. players.
After awhile the urge went away and I thought it was under control.
I was layed off from my job in June. I was desperate and found bitcoin while searching for ways to make money from home. I was fascinated with bitcoin right away but soon found out my 8 year old laptop wasn't going to generate any bitcoins. I started seeking loans.

I started winning and the compulsive behavior started coming back. I could play online poker again....It felt great.

Up until now. I feel horrible. I'm sorry and I will repay the loans over time as I can.

I lost control.

Do not lend to me anymore.

I don't think Lurk deserves the scammer tag. Clearly, he just has a gambling problem and looks like he has good intentions.

~Cackling Bear~

EDIT: (To add more humor.)

theymos: I need more facts.
Maged: Agree!
BadBear: We can't go around passing out scammer tags everytime some Tom, Dick and Harry wants one.
Psy: Let's discuss this some more, for it looks like a great place to troll.
hazek: I edited the OP.

I like to say, "Its backed by millions of people, but not governments or politicians like you probably want. Sorry."  Cheesy

Its backed by millions of people, just like tulips?

nice try, dude. tulips lack many other properties of money.

I'm pretty sure he was in reference to the Tulip Mania in the 1600's.

Also, I think Avalon is a class act all the way, zero interest in running them down, but they'll almost surely have the highest power consumption numbers. Particularly when you scale to multiple units that could easily be run off one low powered laptop.

Can you explain, Im not so good in english, I dont understand very well your tought..

Avalon = Less power needed ?

INTERESTING!

I'm advocating Zeitgeist Ideas for a while now.. I came to understand that adults, (25 years old +, me included) are too much endoctrinated to easily understand all the social underlying aspecct of an RBE...  It took me a lot of learning, listening and book reading to fully understand that an RBE is not only possible, but the only way for human kind to survive..

I bet and work on educating the younger, as their mind are still opened and not so polluted yet..

The Zeitgeist Movement is based on science, wich do not use mind association of predetermined ideas.. Science is based on facts !

What do I want ?
Evidence based change !
When do I want it ?
After peer review !

Read books, listen to podcast, etc..  there is a lot of great stuff to learn, question, discuss..

The change must begin in our value !

So I guess the requirements weren't met?

And they were so close, too.

Let's continue this by doubling everything stated in the rules. Even pretending that this is the first post, therefore all the posts to date count toward the total.

Starting now! (see time stamp)

Hi,

I Just got my mind blown away: http://www.ted.com/talks/boaz_almog_levitates_a_superconductor.html

TL;DW:
Quantum locking is a way of storing magnetic energy in a superconductor. This force is so huge, 2mm dish of the superconductor material can carry i1000 kilgram. Seriously cool.

/discuss!

I'm not versed in this technology, but Rassah in 5...4...3...
