Can anyone from the pool help me with that ?

sell them on ebay as collectors items.  then get antminer u-1 or u -2

yeah got 2 Antminer U2 on the way.
But I was wondering if it might be useful one day to keep it !
What about if the newer chip are the same size, why couldn't I replace the old one with the new ? anyone can answer ?

thx

Really isn't something anyone can do just like that, but would be sweet to have a block erupter with 20 times the hashpower Smiley

That's what I thought also...

If the replacement chip is the same size, why wouldn't it be possible ?
If someone is an expert into micro-electronic please help us understand if it's possible or not ?

Thx

Thats what I found...... really the chip architecture would be different... but you can upgrade the clockspeed though.
heres a webpage that I found on changing the crystal and resistor....FWIW...I am sure there are more in depth pages and forum posts though.

Thx, already found it...

1247  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Block erupter - changing the chip on: March 11, 2014, 03:59:59 AM
I am wondering if it would be possible to replace the block erupter chip with another one, like the one's from bitfury ? Or perhaps the new asicminer chips that are coming...?

Anyone ever try replacing the chip on these with a better one ?

Thx

I'd love to keep it in the family but I'm putting a bunch of block eruptors up on Ebay in the next couple days.  They run 336 mh/s but I'm selling them in sets of 9 with an Anker Hub which should net you around 3 gh/s.  Here is a link to one of my auctions that just ended.

There will be a few more coming out soon so let me know if you want me to send you the link.

Can't see the link
What's your seller name ?
Thx

Anyone here willing to sell some of their hardware at a good price because there are upgrading ?
This way it will stay in the family Wink !

I'm searching for some USB miner 1Gh+ at a decent price.

Thx.

Ok,
I've put the device and platform line into the reaper.conf, solved a problem but got another one

1259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Reaper - Device selection not working on: February 26, 2014, 07:17:33 PM
Hi all,

I need help trying to make my HD6870 working on mining novacoin.
.conf file here

....
platform 1
device 1
worksize 64
aggression 18
threads_per_gpu 1
sharethreads 18
lookup_gap 2
gpu_thread_concurrency 6720

But as soon as I start reaper, this appears

0 Nvidia Cuda
1 AMD Accelarated parallel processing
Using plaform number 0

Using all devices
0 Quadro 600
Compliling kernel....

And then crashes... Cause quadro doesn't use open Cl... But it doesn't seem to want to use my HD 6870...

Any idea why !??!?

Thx all
