Good lord what is the fundamental reason for bch to be worth $50b, or even $5b? There are no bch futures. There is no bch for sale on major exchanges. There is no bch adoption or bch merchants. You cant buy lambos, hookers or blow with bch.
1242  Economy / Speculation / Re: What caused the sudden slump of BTC today? on: December 19, 2017, 10:25:47 PM
This isn't behaving like a megacrash. It's too slow.  It might be just another wave back to the previous support levels around 10,000 before a re-attempt at ath

This. . This is NOTHING.  It was not sudden. it moved 5%. Significant btc move's are in the range of 30-80%

I'm bullish on doge due to the historical chart where it always runs to 100-200 satoshi after it breaks out and because it hasnt had its share of media exposure yet

Are alts going with or against btc now?

1247  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 19, 2017, 07:58:30 AM
Some of the low ones are a little off. Living paycheck to paycheck would be more like 0.01btc and not 1btc.
1248  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 19, 2017, 07:29:39 AM
BCH seems to be doing its own thing and unhinged from BTC now. Now the trade against BTC is ETH
1249  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to go mBTC on trading sites on: December 19, 2017, 07:24:11 AM
No I've been trading this for years and that would just be really confusing to me. Does Berkshire Hathaway need to do a split?

Maybe for consumers during mass adoption well end up using satoshis and such but not in trading exchanges.

Bitcoincash can only rise so much.  I can't think of a fundamental reason for bch to be wOrth more than 20% of btc unles's btc code is failing and we are reverting to bch.
1252  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Some Speculating Bitcoin To Crash? on: December 19, 2017, 12:14:38 AM
Actually for those who think it's going to crash its BECAUSE they have experince with btc, too much of it. Someone called it Post Gox Stress Disorder. The noobs are the ones too enamored to think there could be a crash.

I'm 2014 I was fired and lost 80% of my stash supporting  myself for 18 months with no lifestyle changes. I later made it back trading alts

This is a crash:

I had never seen anything like it.  Probably a good thing everything was jammed up and all you could do was watch Tongue

I traded it on btce, using gox as a lead. btce always worked flawlessly. It was extremely profitable.

This is a crash:

We're stalled because nobody is pumping the books with fat stacks of fiat. These are the same books that have been here for 2 or 3 weeks. Theyre actually smaller.

See what I meant? This dip would have triggered a stop loss @ 18500 (and even one at 18000) which is now less than current price.

Unless you mean that once 18500 was already broken down this is just a dead cat bounce and we are all doomed.

Donno, but I see everything fine atm.
After the stop was triggered at 18800 (I moved it) it proceeded to 17800 where I could see that there was enough volume there that this wasnt crash and had option to rebuy at profit. It still doesn't look stellar though - limited upside.

Trading BTC on technicals is like juggling chainsaws.  You will decapitate yourself.

There is only one strategy of bitcoin trading which has every consistently worked for me and it is to buy high volume dips.
1259  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will be stable Bitcoin Price? on: December 18, 2017, 07:00:57 AM
Volatility in bitcoin is one of the big differences between fiat and digital currency, if bitcoin becomes stable, nobody will be able to earn profits from it and its value will decrease near to fiat. People like bitcoin because this is the fastest growing asset and acceptable in any part of the world with no changes.
I assume fiat is stable but fial also has no potential to profit you while holding
Not neccessarily. There is a huge pool of merchants, organizations, systems, and people that would love to use bitcoin if only it was stable - take for instance Steam who just DROPPEd bitcoin because it is too volatile. The real potential of bitcoin is as a currency. THIS is what would put the value of bitcoins in the 6 or 7 digits - NOT speculators. At some point there needs to be handoff from speculators to currency users - not sure how this will happen.
1260  Economy / Speculation / Re: When bitcoin bubble burst? on: December 18, 2017, 06:54:12 AM
I see some fearing the bubble burst. It's not that bad. It's just a brief revisitation of price levels from several WEEKS ago and it goes back up. It's only really a concern for traders.
