And you are getting personal again. Reply to my comment!

About there being ponzi fraud in the US?   I never said there isn't. But why make assumptions, just because a company offers a nice return on an investment that you can also achieve on your own with the same bitcoin trading methods they're doing?
Difference between eso and bitcoin-trader.biz. What makes eso so legit in comparson to bitcoin-trader.biz?
Again: There is NO WAY somebody will pay you this amount of interest.

Hint: bitcoin-trader.biz where communicating very well too. A fraudster will always try to make you believe. Thats their "job". At the moment you are doing this job.

Esoteric will be adding full company address/name/#'s to their site, as well as links for their fb/twitter accounts as well.
Bitcoin-trader.biz did to same. No difference or reason why eso is legit.
It is still a ponzi pushed from a few users, thats it, nothing else.

No difference you say? Ok well prove your statement Smiley
There is nothing to prove.
We know the name, company address and they have/had a fb and tweeter account. The only difference is that they (eso) are located in the US instead of Panama. That fact has nothing to say or do you think there is no ponzi fraud in the US?

Nobody will offer that amount of interest without being fraudulant.

I think http://www.badbitcoin.org/ is very interesting project and might help Bitcoin and Bitcoin Community especially new comers.

http://www.badbitcoin.org/

I don't think bitcoin-trader.biz was on the list, last time I checked.   The best scams don't reveal themselves as scams until it is too late.

Agreed.
Should we add Esoteric Investments ?
Yep, I already set them a message yesterday.

I smell high sock puppet activity in this thread. Digicoinz just registered one month ago to push that shit.
1247  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Esoteric Investments, LLC (up to 1% earnings) on: October 24, 2014, 05:20:08 PM
Regarding the investment its 90 days. You quoted me to quick.

Q. How long is a Trading Pool Share term?
A. Trading Pool Shares last for a term of 90 days.

SCAM/PONZI/HYIP, please stay away!

It's just another bitcoin-trader.biz. They were also "legit" till they ran with investors money, but then its too late.

You fool! There is still no proof that Bitcoin Trader was doing anything wrong. They might got robbed whatever, I don't know - but stop this witchhunt. Nobody is guilty until proven otherwise.
Just a fool will believe their hacker story.
- They still posted results after they got hacked
- "We got hacked" is the new blind excuse
- They deleted user information
- They took of their webpage
- A lot of other arguments I'm sure you already read in the bitcoin-trader.biz thread.

Guys, be informed that Digicoinz and sunny1 pushes that shit for just one reason: They want to cash out after 120 days. This will happen with other investors money only. This is how a ponzi/HYIP works.
1249  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitcoin-trader.biz on: October 24, 2014, 05:11:37 PM
This is exactly why it worked that good.

1251  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [OFFICIAL]Bitfinex.com first Bitcoin P2P lending platform for leverage trading on: October 21, 2014, 06:34:05 PM
Noob question:
What happens if someone can't repay? There is no swap-taking-user-information available.
They get liquidated before that can happen. If that is not enough, Bitfinex claims to have some vague "insurance" that would cover the difference.
Thanks!

No way that this one is not another ponzi. 6% a week, come on...
Just another bitcoin-trader.biz.

If someone is filing a case at the local police within the EU, let us know your the case number to put them together.

Hey y'all!
I was reading this forum throughout my whole BT-experience to keep track of the public opinion and be prepared for whatever was coming. I was in for only a few hundred euro's, 'cause I wanted to see how long it would last.
The funny thing is, though, that I was making a Dutch translation of the website and they even payed me $300 in advance. I was nearly finished and have spent some real effort in it, so I am pretty disappointed with this outcome. I had a lot of e-mail contact with 'John Carley' as well, if this will ever come in handy for 'chasing the criminals' as stated above, I would be pleased to help.
Also, this means I have HTML-files of all the non-member-areas of the website. So I still have their Terms and so on. If this ever might come in handy, just let me know.
Put them online.
1256  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitcoin-trader.biz on: October 16, 2014, 03:21:57 PM
just received:

Dear Clients

Regrettably I have to announce the failure and closure of Bitcoin Trader.

While preparing for the final audit results, a task we were working on for weeks now, our bitcoin wallet has been hacked and emptied, just after exchanging our fiat holdings within the exchanges to bitcoin and transferring our entire holdings to our wallet, in order to proof our solvency.

It is a known fact that I personally opposed any proof of solvency, but agreed to conduct it for the sake of a few dozen small and medium investors.

The hacker contacted me shortly after he took advantage of our holdings and demanded a ransom in order to transfer the coins back. I have agreed to a 25% ransom of the entire sum, but haven’t heard back from him for several days now.

My aim was to create something based on trust, just as bitcoin itself is based on distributed trust. Unfortunately I must admit today, I have failed. All left to do now is to declare bankruptcy with the Panamanian authorities and to hand over all relevant files and information for further investigation.

Sincerely,
John Carley

 Roll Eyes

Well that was anticlimactic, lol.

Dear Mr Carley..

That is a very sad story.   Some would find it unbelievable, but luck for you, the Blockchain never lies.   Can you please provide us the transaction ID's in which the theft took place?  Also can you provide the digital signature signed by the wallets from which the funds where taken?  You should be familiar with the process from your proof of solvency.

If you provide us with that, we do understand that sometimes shit happens.   There ought to be no reason for you to refuse this request if the story is legit..

Thanks,

Your favorite customer.
And if that hack happend for real then this was a planned inside job from Mr. Carley.
As already told, there is no reason to store all the money in a wallet for auditing.

The whole story is just bullshit.

Latest FB update :

Quote
Here are the facts we have at this stage :
1 - John Carley was supposed to make an announcement over the weekend. The last time any BT staff heard from him was on Saturday morning when he told us that his announcement would be later the same day.
2- There was a typhoon in the area where John was likely to be. This could be a reason for his lack of communication, but we do not know this for a fact.
3- The server had problems and has been restored. There are still a few updates we need to do.
4- Some site maintenance
5- Michaela Juric-Donlan has released a document with "evidence" that BT is solely for the purpose of laundering money. This you can take as you see fit and it is open to interpretation. I would just like to inform you that Michaela has her own agenda for doing so,and it might be good to point out that she has her own website where she also does btc investments. She is trying to get as much public exposure as possible in order to become a bitcoin "celebrity". The faster she can build a name for herself as the only honest person in crypto currency the more people will trust her investment.
6- Mike Walker and Andrea Ciceri have been an invaluable part of our team and have done more than their part in marketing BT and raising btc awareness. They are our best reps, but that is all they are. They have no inside info into the workings or management of BT. To harass them for info would be a waste of time.Rob Drover is an investor and helped us as admin on this group only. He has no other connection to BT.
7- There has been people who have been able to complete cashouts. This only works for Pexpay it seems.Due to all the server and site issues and maintenance some functions on the site has been disabled or are not working correctly.

This whole fiasco has been a coincidence of badly timed events. We had no control over the server crash and the effects thereof. With this happening and Michaela knowing that John would be hard to reach after she tried to blackmail him, they started their FUD attack and the technical problems just helped her along as an unexpected reason to further cause panic. And with all this happening John disappears without a trace after promising an update.
We have sponsored the Kryptoz car that is still running till November and haven't even started the final leg yet. We have a lot of events that are coming up during the rest of the year for which we have already paid deposits and made arrangements. There are a lot of things that are now just left hanging in the air until John has come back to take control of the situation.
We apologize for the past week and we understand your concern. There is nothing we can do about it until John Carley returns. We will keep you updated with news on the situation, but both Michael Brandenburg , Jonathan Moloney and myself will not take part in any discussions or speculation about this.

Has it been deleted? I can't find it now on their fb page.
There is just 1 single person controlling the whole thing. WTF?! Nice story...

Privatverkauf oder Händler?
Ich halte den Preis für zu hoch:
1. Privat (gehe mal davon aus)
2. Scheibe gerissen
3. Klima defekt
Cheesy
1259  Local / Biete / Re: USA ROAD TRIP POWERED BY BITCOIN / Gewinne einen Zeus Blizzard ! on: September 27, 2014, 03:01:53 PM
1260  Local / Biete / Re: [GB] 3,6 GH Avalon Nano USB Stick - 0.07 BTC on: September 23, 2014, 05:08:32 PM
Avalon (Bitfountain) sollte ohnedies nicht unterstützt werden.
Konsumenten sollten nicht so schnell vergessen.

Bitfountain was the AsicMiner stuff (Block Erupter).  You might be thinking of Bitsyncom / Yifu Guo (who is no longer with Avalon/Canaan).

OP: Added a link here from my StickMiners thread.  Do you consider selling across Europe?
Ah sorry, you are absolutely wright.
