1241  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can anyone recommend an exchange to use to buy bitcoins? And not wait a week? on: December 06, 2013, 02:50:41 AM
Sorry for the slow reply.

So far I have added my debit and credit cards to coin.mx. Deposit are on the spot. Ive done over 5000 in deposits and that part works fine. The site itself is a little buggy. Withdraws are not consistent and can take a while sometimes. Trades usually work fine but be careful as the market price can be off by a lot. always check the order book first.

So yea it works. I like them a lot better then coinbase and really is the fastest way to pay for coins in a decent exchange like system.

In saying this be careful and ask the support person as much questions as you see fit. With bugga all backround info its hard to say if they are legal. could be a money laundering outfit and shutdown anytime.

Also note they are the same operators of bcoinmarket.com

thanks

Interesting... I just found them on Google; used and liked the speed of their service as well. I even wrote a review of the process. I've never heard of their other site, but yip, it's the same company. Now why would they do that?
1242  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: User trying to threaten me on: December 06, 2013, 02:41:30 AM
Trying to threaten you? You were threatened! What the heck does he imagine you did to him anyways?

Now that I know what DOX means (yes, I consulted Google), what the heck is/are CADS? That's a hard one.

its our currency.

Oh, ha ha! For some reason I was thinking of something dirty...

1244  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: MyBitcoinJob obvious scam on: December 06, 2013, 02:28:42 AM

Reminds me of the old pay-to-read-email days.  You would get $100 for signing up and $20 per email.  But payout was $500 and no one ever reached it without their account getting cancelled.   Cheesy

So maybe I'm aging myself a little here... but do tell! lol  I like learning about the scams. I can imagine they'll have you do all these mundane tasks and never pay out.
1245  Economy / Speculation / Re: Borrowed $1,000,000 (1 million dollars) from my dad to invest in BTC (serious) on: December 06, 2013, 01:55:51 AM
Hi Dafar,

Well done with securing that arrangement with your father.

1. I (personally) do not think this is "stupid" concept.  Note this is my opinion and does not reflect the views of ANX.HK.
2. With appropriate verification, we can offer you generous limits which would satisfy your requirements.
3. [I have sent you a private message]
4. I unfortunately do not specialize in US taxes, though we may have to cautious of the FATCA regime next year, for our US customers.  Right now however there is no regulatory obligations on our behalf.

Cheers,

Anyone know if this dude is legit? I feel like I'm being scammed.

How many before this post advised you not to put all you eggs in one basket? Scam or not, DO NOT trust!

And if you have to ask if Coinbase is secure, please educate yourself some more before you buy.
1246  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Butterfly Labs 60 GH/s miner *in hand* (asking 1.25 bitcoins) on: December 06, 2013, 01:38:40 AM

Fuckin atodaso! I already posted several concering facts that just got ignored by everyone.

Idiot!!! You got ignored because you 'investigated' the wrong person... and you couldn't even get the facts straight! lol

You tried to make someone else look bad and made yourself look even worse. Keep your fucking apology - I don't want it.

Sorry guys for bumping this thread... I'm reading from the top down and skipped over a few until I found out I was being wrongfully accused.
1247  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Butterfly Labs 60 GH/s miner *in hand* (asking 1.25 bitcoins) on: December 06, 2013, 01:33:36 AM
Also the guy who received free coin got them around November 12th or so. I cant remember the exact date but it was close to that. Just saying if he got them that long ago and he only commented on their rep thread yesterday that seems very odd to me considering rep thread was up on the 30th, not that suspicious until I noticed the comments were 2 hours before this thread was posted. This could be all a coincidence but that is a lot of things to be linked together by chance.

Are you stupid?!!! The person even posted the link to the original post that you didn't even bother to view during your investigation. Honestly, this community does not need idiots people like you talking shit you know nothing about. How the hell are we to try and educate when we're passing around shit as if it's gospel.

ALL - it's quite obvious this person does not comprehend what he's reading... please click on the link in my rep thread - feel free to reach out to the two who has posted. Also just for kicks, read my previous posts. Half of them I'm trying to offer advice or something.
1248  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Butterfly Labs 60 GH/s miner *in hand* (asking 1.25 bitcoins) on: December 06, 2013, 01:24:11 AM
No pics OP? That seems a little concering.

He sent me a couple of pics via PM as I'm an interested buyer as well. I'm sure as soon as he gets back online he'll post them in this thread.

Would you mind PMing the pics he sent you to me my good fellow?  Grin

I'll do a screenshot of the entire communication... can you tell me how I do this? Someone told me before to use a website, but I don't remember.

I slightly investigated this guy and although his account is not brand new his "rep page" has 2 responses saying he is a good guy both posted within hours of eachother yesterday and one received free coin and the other got a no collateral loan. Looks like he tried building rep to help in this possible scam but im not accusing him of such it just seems fishy. He is also the only one who has claimed to have gotten pics, this also seems odd. All I ask is to see said pics, if they exist, and it would clearly debunk my theory.

Are you talking about me? You're not a very good investigator I see. The account you investigated was mine... I gave NMC I mined away as a tip to an established member on this forum. I gave a loan of .02 to someone who was asking and had collateral that I didn't thing was necessary because he is also a long term member who got loans in the past. Hell, for that matter, I've sent tips anonymously to a few addresses in this forum. Oh, and it was from another long term member that I decided to start a rep thread. I don't ask for coins, loans, or anything except information. And the reason you see the two posts in my rep thread created so close together is because after I gave the loan and asked the member to post, I sent PMs to other members asking for them to post.

And yes, the OP sent me pics via PM... and if I knew how to post a screenshot of the communication between myself and the OP, I'll do it. Would you like to see the others of me asking for feedback on my thread as well? I'm not trying to build a rep to scam - I've never asked for btc from anyone and never will, I buy what I want. And if I want to sell, I'll take my shit on eBay like I did with my miners.

BEFORE you start trying to call people out, you should get some more skills. It never ceases to amaze me how smart some of you are, but yet lack so much.

I'll be waiting for you apology because it's due.

1251  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Butterfly Labs 60 GH/s miner *in hand* (asking 1.25 bitcoins) on: December 05, 2013, 11:19:31 PM
Offered to buy at asking price. He immediately said he only trusted John K and that John K was too busy. Mentioned other escrow services here and he denied. Proceed with extreme caution

I also suggested using someone here for escrow. He told me that he used John K before, which immediately got my attention because I read all his previous posts... anyhoo, he wanted me to send the coins then he ship product. I'm not saying he's trying to scam, only providing insight.

1254  Economy / Trading Discussion / POLL – Anonymity: What’s it worth to you? on: December 05, 2013, 01:16:54 PM
Trust is a key factor in the decision making process of sending coins. I understand why anonymity is important - And I support this attribute 100%.  But my question to you all is this:

IF you were able to find out the identity of someone who uses an address… would that increase your confidence level in sending to it?

Feel free to vote without posting in this thread. But should you decide to post - this is just a poll.

Has anyone else tried Coin.Mx? I'd like to know that I'm not their only customer! lol
1258  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I have been slandered on here on: December 04, 2013, 08:29:15 PM
Can you give inquiring mines a tidbit more information?

Links to the posts?
How/where were the Paypal transactions originate?
What are the scammers' usernames at the exchange?
How much were the transactions (okay, this is pure nosiness at this point)
Etc.

So it sounds like the person who's slandering you was the other victim in this man in the middle attack (I'm learning so much about scams from this site).... if that's the case, the two of you should at least try to work together and find out who scammed you. The scammer had to have reached out the the other victim and got him to pay somehow, right?

It's an adventure! The two of you working together playing bitcoin thief detective Tongue
1259  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling Bitcoins for Paypal on: December 04, 2013, 08:09:28 PM
You know... to say you encourage scammers (selling forum accounts?), you certainly don't see yourself falling victim, huh? All someone has to do is record the unboxing and redact their positive feedback - whoops, I meant to leave that for another purchase Smiley Ooooh, but the positive feedback you require before sending.... You don't plan on not sending the coins because of your fail proof idea, do you?

Have you tried MinePeon?
I'm probably going to now, as my original intention was to use the RasPi for other things too, but the hardware was far weaker than I imagined :p
I've lost a lot of BTC thanks to all of the downtime Sad

Hey, at least you're mining!
