1243  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: One bitcoin address per transaction? How? on: June 04, 2015, 03:48:01 AM
Seems like privacy-minded people recommend using 1 bitcoin address per transaction and not reusing the same address twice.
What bitcoin wallets offer that functionality? I'm using Electrum and I don't see how I can send from a different address than the address that received the funds. I hope the solution is not using Bitcoin Core or Armory because I don't have 40GB of free space to store the whole blockchain.

One bitcoin address per transaction means it's recommended to use a new BTC address every time you will receive a transaction. Of course it doesn't mean sending from a different address than the one you used to receive. You certainly need to spend the same inputs you previously received.

Just use a new address for every receiving transaction and you'll be fine. Normally you can just use the send feature normally, although you may choose which address to spend from.

I was finally able to decode it but you're doing it wrong. You encrypted the message then you signed the encrypted message and then you re-encrypted it plus some plain text. You should encrypt it and signed it in a single step so it can be decoded at once. What client are you using? For example on Cryptophane you can do it in a single step:

You should be able to decrypt this and verify my signature in a single step entering your password only once:

I keep encountering the 5 PM per hour limit and its making it very difficult to talk to escrows and stuff. Can someone whitelist me or take the restrictions off my account? thank you

I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen. The restriction will be reduced overtime while you increase your activity. Everyone goes through that process.

The good news for you is that you're about to reach 15 points of activity which means the restriction will be heavily reduced. Check this:

What are the time limits on posting and the levels??
I know 360 seconds are for new people like me, but was wondering if there was break down somewhere on this.

Code:
waittime = 360;
if(activity >= 15)
        waittime = (int)(90 - activity);
if(activity >= 60)
        waittime=(int)(34.7586 - (0.0793103 * activity));
if(activity >= 100)
        waittime = max((int)(14-(activity/50)), 4);

1253  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: selling my unwanted bitcoins on: June 01, 2015, 04:46:06 PM
You took my image and edited it

Yep, and it was so extremely easy to do. That's exactly my point: what you posted proves nothing at all.

Now either use escrow or stop this nonsense.

To be totally fair he doesn't need to send coins to that specific address to have positive balance in his account. We could have bought the coins there or he could have had a different deposit address in the past (not that I think that's what happened, I'm just saying it's possible).
1254  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: selling my unwanted bitcoins on: June 01, 2015, 04:29:18 PM
how about you keep your opinions to yourself and stop telling others what to do! You have no right to tell me how I should sell or buy. These are my bitcoins I can do as I wish, I have sold before never had a problem, infact I could shut you up by showing you proof of my previous transactions. I have enough proof please don't push me to make people like you look stupid. Have a good day.

Of course you're totally right, they are your bitcoins (if they really exist) and I won't tell you what to do with them. I just want to prevent people from being scammed, that's all. So I am recommending this to them (not you): This offer is extremely suspicious, therefore you must use escrow if dealing with OP.
1255  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: selling my unwanted bitcoins on: June 01, 2015, 04:18:28 PM
If your serious about buying message me on my whatsapp 07494122561
we can agree on a deal.
Everyone else please keep your opinions to yourself next time "Never judge a book by its cover"

First, it's extremely easy to edit a webpage so your screenshot doesn't prove anything at all, absolutely zero. Second, even if you do have that amount it doesn't mean you will send the coins after you receive the payment. IMO the fact you want to pass that as a proof makes it even more suspicious.

This can be solved extremely easy. If you want to find a buyer you need to use escrow. Send your coins to an extremely trusted member of this forum, then the buyer sends you the payment and finally the escrow sends the coins to the buyer. If you don't use an escrow then nobody will/should deal with you. If you're honest you won't have any issues with this method.

BTW here's an image you can use to shut up even more people!

1257  Other / Meta / Re: Why isn't my trust green despite the fact that I have received some positives?? on: June 01, 2015, 02:25:20 PM
Because they aren't in your trust list, so their feedback is untrusted.

Can I add them in my trust list sir? If yes, how?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust (You can locate this page on anyones trust page its called "trust settings")

Add the names into the field there. However, anyone without the users in their trust list will not see your trust as green.

You should add them to your trust list only if you really trust them. If you want to add them so you're green it doesn't make much sense because only you would see yourself as green, nobody else will unless they add them to their trust list too. You must create your own trust list depending on whose feedback you trust and not on who has left you a positive feedback.
1258  Economy / Lending / Re: 0.2 BTC Loan Request - 10% Interest on: June 01, 2015, 12:13:02 PM
Now I just need to figure out how to heal my reputation from this incident.  Tongue

I suggest to send a pm to each one of those users who left you negative feedback and give the link to EcuaMobi's confirmation

I meant after all that. I already know I'm going to have multiple neutrals/negs left even after all that. Since this is always going to blight my name on here, I want to work on building up my trust again so hopefully this won't affect me too seriously when I go into business and do some advertising here in the future.  Lips sealed

If you make several deals in the future without any problems I will replace my feedback by a neutral one or even remove it too. You did repay the loan so I'm sure your reputation is cleanable.
1259  Economy / Lending / Re: 0.2 BTC Loan Request - 10% Interest on: June 01, 2015, 03:27:46 AM
I have sent .3 BTC to EcauMobi as (late) payment for this loan.

https://blockchain.info/tx/391638aa9085383e23d744c2060f997cf813fc4474558e02d961ed131a53dde2

Thank you, I confirm I received it. I really didn't expect to have this loan back at all.

I have updated the (still negative) feedback I left. Everyone who left a feedback on OP's profile please remove or update it as you see fit. Thanks.
1260  Other / Meta / Re: Perma Ban Accounts like this on: May 30, 2015, 01:30:36 AM
Why not perma ban accounts like this? I think it would be a good decision by the administration to ban these sort of accounts permanently. I just found this account by accident and was looking through its history. Clearly the account has been used for no good. Why not remove it from the system all together? I know that the owner can make another account just as easy. But I think with accounts like this, they need to be banned so they cannot participate in any signature campaigns that allow -ve trust accounts into their campaign.  These users are up to no good so why let them continue?

Basically because scams are not moderated. Staff members don't ban accounts that have scammed, that's why the trust system exists. I'm sure he would have more chances to make a deal (or to scam) using a brand new account anyway. Regarding signature campaigns probably not many signature managers would allow him and if they do that's just their problem.

In case anyone wants to check the account here it is.
