1241  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Physical Bitcoin on: October 22, 2017, 12:33:00 AM
First of all, I don't know if this is possible by any one company or organization, and don't know about what the procedure will be to realize this as well.
But what do you think about the concept of physical bitcoin? I remember hearing a while back about someone who actually did created a few physical bitcoin. But what about in more public approach, I mean, especially for people who actually want to hold bitcoin for long.
I think they will solve the issues of lost bitcoins, as they will be present in physical form, so if someone loses the passwords, or even a mishap occurs to them, their family can use them.

What are your thoughts?

Physical Bitcoin is for layman. But still it is silly. The reason why Bitcoin is efficient is primarily because we don't need to print it. We don't need to cut trees in case of paper money. And we don't need to dig to mine for metal to mint coins. Bitcoin is intangible. Which is why there are no added cost to send and store it. Unlike physically present money which is more likely to get lost.

Being intangible definitely has it perks. Bitcoin is a digital asset. It is a virtual currency. Having been said there are times when tangibility comes in handy. Be it for long term storage or for education etc, the ease of paper wallets and the like enable Bitcoin to take a physical form. They both have their upsides.
1242  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Two Developers looking for new Oppertunities on: October 20, 2017, 10:48:49 AM
Where did you graduate from?
I know of someone who can make do with some front end web development.
The project requires creating a plugin that allows items to be added to a wishlist, communicated with a database and then able to receive a 'reply' from the database.
We can discuss this more by PM or email. The project isn't crypto related but I'm sure they could pay with BTC.
1243  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Physical Bitcoin on: October 20, 2017, 09:05:54 AM
There are loads of these that already exist. One of the first creators of a physical bitcoin was Mike Caldwell who sold his coins under the name Casascius.
The point of these coins is to show that bitcoins can also be physical, tangible and that there are other means of storage that don't put your coins at risk to the same extent that storing them digitally does.
Since Casascius released his coins, there have been plenty of other makers too. Some have added a twist and created art items that have their own collectible value.
If you check out the Marketplace>Goods>Collectables part of this forum, you will be able to find losts of posts and listings of these physical pieces.
1244  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Trying to find out about these exchanges? on: October 19, 2017, 11:36:55 PM
Trying to find out what the the mid level exchanges for coins to get on and what are the conditions needed to get on them and how hard and competitive it is?

Ideas so far have included.

Hitbtc

Gdax

Kraken

Liqui

Any experience and knowledge first hand would be great appreciated.

Kraken is easy to signup and trade in. But it has only a few major coins. That is the biggest drawback. I have account there, works fine.

OP isn't referring to creating an account but rather to having his/her coin listed and traded on their platform.
GDAX is coinbase who until recently didn't even accept LTC, so getting a new token on there would be quite difficult to say the least.
I think it'll be difficult to get featured on any to the sites you mentioned. Smaller exchanges have the option but I think that the ones you mentioned have their ow n system in place for deciding when to list trading partners and currencies.
1245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Poker System ICO on: October 19, 2017, 03:14:58 PM
Interesting idea to launch the ICO project dealing with poker based on cryptocurrency. And one more benefit is that it will be decentralized. I like the game Texas Holdem. Great!!! )))) And what attracted my attention is - "a new type of tournaments that not exists on any poker rooms (KO Spins)". So, it will be something that makes us say WOW I hope. Because there are some ICOs going on right now and they are also dealing with poker and there are even some platforms for betting and so on. I see that poker and different betting games are popular more and more in cryptoworld. So, wish your project be successful and get great results!!! )))) I believe in your project!!!! ))))

Why is it an interesting idea? What is the need for having an ICO in this scenario? The room is practically the same as every other casino apart from having a differential reward system. An ICO here is no different from having a funding round. In this case, the idea isn't unique so the incentive to invest wouldn't be high as there isn't anything guaranteeing (or even suggesting) the success of this project. The ICO just enables the creators to raise funds before actually having a working product in place and more ICOs aren't needed currently. The malarkey is already awash with them.
1246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: INCREASING AMOUNT OF ICO(S) on: October 19, 2017, 03:03:05 PM
BTC will always be the market leader. When BTC drops so do most Alta. The same is true for when there's a bout of positive growth.
The BTC markets consist of BTC/FIAT and BTC/ALTS. BTC has a much higher trade volume spread over the two then the specific Alt markets. Thus, when BTC/FIAT falls, the less BTC/ALTS traded. In a way it's kind of a cyclical system.
Re the ICOs, - most are scams. Petty projects where the devs are looking to make some cash. Here today, gone tomoorw. There are a few legitimate ones that actually serve purpose but these are a minority within a minority (unfortunately).
1247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia is turning the nuclear power plant into mining field. on: October 18, 2017, 10:07:39 PM
I just read up more on the RMC and can now see watch Russia's direction is with this. My only question is why the Russian central authority is so interested in BTC mining.
The RMC buy in was huge. Most individuals (Russian citizens) weren't able to oartake in it, so it can be assumed that the majority who did were the wealthy and government officials. If so, my question is what is their end goal with becoming a mining powerhouse? What's in it for them?
1248  Economy / Economics / Re: New Hashtag to report on the imminent financial collapse! on: October 18, 2017, 07:59:24 PM
Only those wanting to spread FUD would actually use your hashtag seeing as most people on here would disagree with you.
Out of interest, what is your reasoning for the so called impending bubble burst? What economic proof do you have? Many before you have said the exact same thing only to see BTC to continue to skyrocket. I'm not saying that the price won't eventually crash (you can't rule everything out) but what's your basis for claiming that it's imminent?
1249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: An ICO for body flying. Does it sound inteeresting to you? on: October 18, 2017, 06:30:40 PM
Another needless ICO aimed at making a quick profit and then completely disregarding investors. It's no wonder why countries are moving to place bans or increase regulation on ICOs when they're just being used to manipulate private investors.
All these projects just keep giving Crytpo a bad public image/name and do more harm than good.
1250  Economy / Marketplace / Re: 1 Year in Cryptocurrency still no luck earning bitcoin. Need some real advice. on: October 18, 2017, 07:55:36 AM
What efforts have you made so far?
Earning BTC online shouldn't be too difficult so long as you apply yourself to it.
Try offering your skills online in exchange for BTC. You could create a website where you offer that service or offer freelancing services on the forum and other crypto channels.
If you have free time and can learn a new skill then do that. You'd be able to apply that skill and start earning through offering that skill to others in a matter of time.

Ive been in affiliate program to earn bitcoins but sadly that is to cover only my bills and expences. I envy someone else who made their fortune doing bitcoin.

So has the affiliate marketing been able to cover your bills? If so then that's a great start. What you could do is use the income you otherwise would have spent on paying your bills to buy BTC. That would increase your BTC savings which you could keep as an investment portfolio.
Most early adopters made their BTC by mining or buying in. Some managed to offer goods/services in exchange for coins but don't assume that everyone managed to make a fortune doing so. It's not too late to jump aboard.
1251  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: ⚡️⚡️⚡️ www.bitspy.io - Do we need it? ⚡️⚡️⚡️ on: October 18, 2017, 12:09:58 AM
I'm not sure if other sites like this exist but I will definitely be bookmarking this and adding it to my favourites tab. I always use block explorers to check addresses and never even thought to see if there was a universal site that worked with all cryptos.
The only constructive criticism I have is that maybe you should consider fixing the UI on mobile platforms. Something about the formatting is a little off. Other than that it looks great.
Thank you for this! Much appreciated Smiley
1252  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for marketing manager (0.5 BTC - 3 BTC per month) on: October 17, 2017, 07:16:21 PM
Would the purchasing of advertisement and hiring of article writers be covered by the company or would it come out of the total paid to the manager?
1253  Economy / Speculation / Re: Ledger X kicks off on: October 17, 2017, 05:14:35 PM
Personally I don't see how it'll have any widespread affect at all regardless of how big it's trading volume is. At the end of the day I see it as just another platform irrespective of it having heads of banks at its disposal and a recognised licence.
The only benefit I see it bringing is that of introducing new clients (big-shots) to the crypto space which could only have a positive impact which I still find unlikely.
Nonetheless, I wouldn't mind to be proven wrong. It'll be a kind of win-win situation.
1254  Economy / Goods / Re: Buying Fine Wine with Bitcoin on: October 17, 2017, 05:07:57 PM
You've just opened a whole new world for me. I genuinely had no idea that wine portfolios were a thing.
I take it that these bottles are stored in optimal conditions and not in private home collections? I've got quite a few old bottles but unfortunately I have no way of telling whether they've spoiled or not. Can the wines be claimed and delivered so that they can be consumed too or is it solely a marketplace that facilitates the trade as a commodity?

1256  Economy / Services / Looking for CAD technician on: October 17, 2017, 04:53:01 PM
Hi,
I am looking to hire a CAD technician to create a 3D file of a custom product.
I have the product design in JPG form but the photos should only be used to help with the rendering. I can send more accurate pictures of the actual finished product for you to use as reference for the job.
I would require complete confidentiality for this work.
I'm not looking for you to apply and outsource the work to a freelancer on Fiverr. I'm looking for a professional who can offer me a fair and reliable service.

Please PM me if you can help.

Thanks

1257  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What I'm doing wrong? on: October 17, 2017, 11:10:24 AM
Your site is nice and definitely appealing to the eye, but you've still got a lot of work to do.
Firstly, you need to target traffic. This means that you've got to improve on SEO, marketing and other means of enticing users to visit your site.
Once you have said users on your site you'd want to convert their visits into sales. On that front I think your prices are way too high for the goods being sold. You need to be more competitive as the same goods can be bought elsewhere for a lot cheaper.
1258  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Startima: Brand New Standards of Lottery and Betting on: October 17, 2017, 11:05:01 AM
Bookmakers already have a very big clientele without having been transparent so to speak. What makes you think that something like this would be wanted by large scale betting platforms?
The Gambling sector is pretty regulated so any unlawful practices would go unpunished. All the big names follow codes of conduct and ensure full fairness. I only see this being used as a platform for individuals which begs me to ask how popular it would be.
Maybe I'm just not understanding it correctly so I'd be clad if you could address this and clear any confusion.
1259  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Medicine and cryptocurrency on: October 17, 2017, 08:01:25 AM
I don't see any viable ways of applying it to medicine. The Blockchain has a lot of perks albeit none that I can see in that specific area. As mentioned, patient information is too sensitive and private. Patient confidentiality would be pretty much useless if records were stored on the Blockchain.
Apart from that I'm not sure of any realistic applications. I know that in the U.K. The NHS is overworked and can do with drastic system framework changes (IT systems) but even so I don't see how the Blockchain is an answer to that.
