Almost at 200,000 coins mined at https://www.megamineros.com/CSC since our start in december. We are currently at 188,200 CSC coins and with the current rate of a block found about every 15 minutes it will take about 60 hours till the block than contains the 200,000th coin. To celebrate this i will give the finder of that 200,000 coin block a bonus of 250 CSC !!! If it will be myself that mined that block i will give it to the first one that mines a block after me!

Cubeia poker system seems to adopt bitcoin, ... why not do CasinoCoin? I contacted them in december about that but they seem to have choosen for bitcoin, probably because you can do direct USD-BTC and not USD-CSC. I think that is very necesary to get CSC adapted for real casino use!

Agreed! Every block I see is like those final minutes haha
I'm sitting here just waiting! Well watching the Canada vs Latvia game as well.
Indeed same here although i pass the time watching Bayern Munich -Arsenal  Cool .... what i especially look out for is a more honest and predictable mining rate, ... 48 blocks !!

I do not think it will affect the price as it is already way too low. Just 55 block till the KGW, ... feels like counting down to new year  Grin
1245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CSC] CasinoCoin - The Premiere Coin for Casino Gaming | Kimoto Enabled! on: February 17, 2014, 02:15:09 PM

Would be nice if I had more than 1 person mining with my site though...

Yes, indeed. Grin So lonely here... Good pool http://www.zenproductions.org/csc/

Look at it this way, since you're mining alone, you get all the block value, plus the block finder reward. Tongue

Hang in there!! I am the only miner at my own pool https://www.megamineros.com/CSC as well. When the KGW kicks in i hope the amount of regular miners will increase on CSC. In the future you will get more miners at your pool!

I redirected all my hashing power at CSC to get to the 227000 block asap, ... come'on guys do the same, don't think in profitability for a week and lets get this over with. Current network hashrate is 19MHash and i am doing 5 MHash of that. Get back to mining CSC and lets kick in the Kimoto's Gravity Well as soon as possible !!!
1247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CSC] CasinoCoin - The Premiere Coin for Online Casino Gaming | Hard Fork! on: February 14, 2014, 11:41:29 PM
The pool at https://www.megamineros.com/CSC is now also upgraded to CasinoCoin v1.1.0.0!! Also used the upgrade window to do some server maintenance, install patches, upgrade stratum and restart the server  Cheesy. All ready now for block 227000 and a bright future for CSC. Do not worry about the current value, long term it will prevail!

So as some of you are aware, all alt-coins have faced an issue with multipools and the effects of poolhopping. These multipools mine the current most profitable coin, and when the difficulty kicks in at a higher level, the multipools move onto the next profitable coin, leaving the one that they just mined stuck at a high difficulty. This affects miners dedicated to the coin because they now have to expend more time and resources to mine the same amount of coins. This issue has affected CasinoCoin since the start, and more recently, community members have pointed this out to me and requested an update to address this issue.

@kwest came to me with a suggestion regarding Kimoto's Gravity Well. After some research, I concluded that this will be the way forward for CasinoCoin to address the issue of poolhopping. This algorithm was first implemented by Dr Kimoto Chan with Megacoin, and since then, the success of this algorithm has attracted other alt-coins such as Franko, AnonCoin and others.

Essentially, this algorithm adjusts difficulty after each block. So when a multipool drops off, difficulty is automatically adjusted as soon as the next block is found. This smoothens out difficulty and doesn't leave it hanging for long. Franko's successful implementation of Kimoto's Gravity Well has attributed to the mining stability of the coin, as well as the recent spike in value.

Here is a great read on the topic:
The Newbie's Guide to Kimoto's Gravity Well

This update will be available in CasinoCoin 1.1.0.x. It is currently being tested at the moment and will be available to download shortly after.

That is some great news! Maybe an extra addition, ... not sure if its in the source code but updating the nodes so users get a connecting wallet without having to edit a conf file would be great! Oh and thx for adding the QR code support, really helpful for my mobile wallet app which i hope to release in beta soon after the fork!
1249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CSC] CasinoCoin - The Premiere Coin for Online Casino Gaming | On Cryptsy! on: February 06, 2014, 04:36:05 PM
can't wait to see the mobile wallet, we obv won't be able to release an apple version which may hurt some users but eventually with a mobile wallet we could create a site to go along with it.
Sadly enough just this week Apple removed the last available crypto wallet as well. Blockchain saw its bitcoin wallet app removed from the appstore without clear explanations. See http://www.coindesk.com/apple-removes-blockchain-bitcoin-wallet-from-app-stores/. Only way to use it now will be through a web browser as you indicate, sadly QR code integration will not be available that way which makes it hard on a mobile phone to use, ... typing coin addresses is a pain in the ....

Really hope the difficulty changes will be made as soon as possible, the last rise had 1.6 GHash on the network causing me not to find a block now for several hours and leaving the network stuck again at a difficulty of 3.2.

The mobile wallet is getting along fine as well. Had some issues with QRcode generation and scanning but that has been solved now. I now plan to release a beta for android as soon as the fork has taken place. I would like the publics opinion about wallet fees. I currently plan on charging a fee of 0.1 CSC on every outgoing transaction which will be divided in:
- 0.04 for the network (so goes to all the miners out there on top of the block coins)
- 0.04 for myself
- 0.02 to the CSC foundation

0.1 CSC is at this moment 0.002 dollar. It will be independent of the transaction size and only on outgoing transactions. So sending 100 CSC will cost you 0.1 coin as will a 10000 CSC transaction. My own server costs will be arround 100 dollar a month so that means i would need 50.000 transactions a month to break even at current CSC rates. That is not going to happen any time soon so i will have to take my losses on that for now. The mining fee on all transactions will make the coin more attractive to miners making the network more stable and assure high transaction speeds for the future. The foundation fee is going to CSC development to assure this coins future development.

Any ideas or comments on this?

(During the beta only 0.02 network fees and 0.01 wallet fees will be charged)

Also some other minor updates to point out:

- the Chinese CasinoCoin page was updated to include the network details and CSC exchange values (http://casinoco.in/cn)
- resolved a compile error on Linux with the current GitHub CasinoCoin source (https://github.com/transcoder/CasinoCoin/issues/1)
- contacted a number of exchanges asking to list CSC
  - c-cex.com is currently compiling the CSC source code and will be adding it shortly - official announcement will go out shortly once listed (https://c-cex.com/)

They announced it was added on their twitter about 3 hours ago it's up. https://c-cex.com/index.html?p=csc-btc
What seems really nice about this one is that they support direct CSC/USD conversions. Could be nice for the future ...
1252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CSC] CasinoCoin - The Premiere Coin for Online Casino Gaming | On Cryptsy! on: February 03, 2014, 11:35:13 AM
There seem to be almost no sell volume at these prices! Interesting to see where this coin settles at the end of the month.
I am pretty sure there will be a good demand for CSC in the near future. CasinoCoinCity will be the first but i hope not the last online casino using CSC. When people will start playing in online casinos with CSC the demand will rise and thus the price. It depends on how eager the miners and those sitting on large quantities of CSC will be in selling them. It would be nice if CSC got to a value of about 1 dollar, both for trading and for gambling.
1253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CSC] CasinoCoin - The Premiere Coin for Online Casino Gaming | On Cryptsy! on: January 31, 2014, 11:26:50 AM

Have been talking with jake over the past few weeks on Skype, and can say hes a great guy who has heavily invested his time, and money into CasinoCoin and Only wants a better future for the Coin. Glad to see you back around the forums its been awhile!

Hey Matthew! Well, I am excited to see how things turn out with CSC, and out here in the states it looks like there's a promising future here for online gambling! We're another year or two away here in California, but it looks like the general consensus is that it would be a great boost to our revenue. A lot of folks in my community are into card games (I primarily play Hold'em), and quite a few of my peers and friends from school spent time or have at least tried online poker. Anyways I'm holding out for the long run that crypto, in particular BitCoin and other alts - are here to stay.

With ALL the potential for developers to put out high quality poker platform sites, CSC could be quite a commodity.
I think we need to think and discuss about designing an api that can be implemented in various programming languages like C, Java, PHP, Phyton, etc for depositing/withdrawing CSC. That way we can help online casinos implementing CSC. I would be more than willing coding part of the api but i think we first need a solid design, worked out in a document so we can use that as the starting point for the various implementations. Anybody with a solid knowledge about online casinos to give input for such a document?

Anyway, the sky is the limit for CSC. Not necessarily only for online casinos. I am thinking about a physical slot machine where you can deposit/withdraw CSC straight from your mobile phone!! So you would not even need real money for that. I bet Last Vegas would be interested in that as well!! I am sure that a brainstorm session on CSC applications would result in a long list of opportunities!!

Just a quick update on some development progress -- I'll be back this evening to catch up on PMs and messages in this thread.

Progress is being made on the update to the CasinoCoin client. I'm targeting finishing it up and testing it by this weekend, and I will need to coordinate with the pool operators early next week since this update requires a hard fork.

I finished up with the CasinoCoin mining calculator - it can be found here:
http://casinoco.in/mining-calculator

Also complete is the CasinoCoin exchange rate calculator which can be found here:
http://casinoco.in/exchange-rates

The CasinoCoin homepage header was also updated to include CasinoCoin relevant stats such as: CSC/BTC rate, CSC/USD rate, network hashrate and current difficulty.
Please remember to also coordinate this with Cryptsy, we do not want to loose our only exchange over this!!!

We as pool operators also need to know the exact moment of implementing the fork and need access to the new source code before that so we can compile and ready the new casinocoind and only need to stop the old daemon and start the new one to minimize the offline time.

Give me your feedback.
Great !! Though i agree with heskey and it would be nice to change the letters on the black background to gold. We need to come up with a way to generate these wallets from e.g. php, anybody any idea? Ohh and i also made you a donation of 500 CSC for this great work! Keep it up!

In summary - dedication, communication and community.  I suggest you jump in as soon as you can!  This is a solid community determined to succeed.
Hear, Hear, ... about two months ago i decided that from the about 30 new scrypt based coins CSC was one of the few with an actual real purpose and the one with the biggest potential. I believe this coin has the potential to grow from 0.01 dollar now to over 1 dollar in a year. Mine or buy CSC at low prices while you can!
1257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CSC] CasinoCoin - The Premiere Coin for Online Casino Gaming | On Cryptsy! on: January 22, 2014, 06:26:53 AM
What we really need at this moment is this for CSC: https://www.dogevault.com/

The mobile wallet i am developing keeps the real wallet on a server and as i am developing the mobile site of things with jQuery Mobile and Phonegap most of the userinterface code can be easily adapted for a normal jQuery browser app. The entire backend i am building (which is now about 60% done) will be reusable for a browser wallet as is, because the functionality is the same. So when i am done i think i will add the browser component so a user has access both from a browser and a mobile phone to one and the same wallet.

Advantage of the mobile version is the easy support for QR code scanning, working on that right now. If casinocoin city generates a qr code for the deposit address a user can easily scan it with his phone and make the transfer. Also working on importing and generating paper wallets. Not only for security reasons but also that way e.g. casinocoin city can generate giveaway cards with 50, 100, 250 CSC (or whatever amount) to users which they can import into their wallet to play with at the casino. (so we have to make sure that it can only be transfered to the casino in that case)

This is only getting better now!
1258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CSC] CasinoCoin - The Premiere Coin for Online Casino Gaming | On Cryptsy! on: January 21, 2014, 08:19:46 PM
I have been saying this for a couple weeks, we need CSC to be accepted, even with a small discount in other Casinos Online just to get the name out
I have contacted several online casinos to add CSC as deposit method. I always get two answers:
- Where is it traded, .... only on cryptsy, ... not enough
- Where can we find an api to talk to for deposits and withdrawals?
Since both are not (yet) in place they do not have any interest in adding it. We need to develop more arround this coin first and then we will be able to draw in casinos.

I do hope the difficulty changes will not take much longer to implement! I prefer that solved first over all kind of nice to have api's.
1259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-POLL] TRADING PAIR SUGGESTIONS FOR COINMARKET.IO on: January 20, 2014, 10:15:32 AM
Please add CSC CasinoCoin as it soon will be the major coin being used used in online casinos. A coin with a real use-case that will produce a lot of transactions in the near future and that is what an exchange is all about isn't it?
So add CSC CasinoCoin
1260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CSC] CasinoCoin - The Premiere Coin for Online Casino Gaming | On Cryptsy! on: January 19, 2014, 11:47:49 PM
I think it is also essential to get CSC on other exchanges than only on Cryptsy. There is a lot of trade between exchanges as well by people that are trying to make some money because of different prices on different exchanges. Also to make the coin more readily available we need to be on others like coinex, coins-e and bter. Have they been contacted? What is needed to get CSC on those exchanges?
