I have the weekend away from crypto and investments, then when I come back the thread has moved like 15 pages and the sale has rocketed past 300BTC! Many many new faces and many more investments, my bids in red now but I am investing more and will get that in the black. This is clearly a winner so all my spare funds are being thrown at this and stacked in BTC
I like the idea of having a whole weekend off but I can't just leave investments on their own. Even if it means checking on my phone. Would be a wonderful time though to switch off now and again. My gambling strategy is that don't bet too much just bet in small amount and just enjoy of what you are doing. Don't put all your allowance in gambling so that in the end you will gonna blame yourself. Well, i think you are gambling only for fun with small bets.. Because some people go gambling because they want get profit and doubling their money so fast. But not all people are lucky to double their money in gambling. Some people are always loosing their money because of gambling so I guess it's much better to just put a small amount when betting so that win or loose you will blame yourself if you loose all your money. No problem. I just did not know about the ICO until a day or two ago. I would like to invest but currently it would be a bad investment. No big deal if there is no bonus from this point, I understand people's arguments and will just wait for the next ICO. There is no shortage of them. I have invested like 2 days ago and the profit is at -0.5%. I am not worried about it cause i believe in the house edge but the funny thing is that every single time when i invested in a gambling site, the house will start losing at first. Hey guys, I want to apologize for our down time today, let me explain our course of events.
We had an attack on our website which caused our host to temporarily take down our site to prevent any damages until we could mitigate the problem. When first notified of the problem I was unavailable to immediately address the problem. Once I was back at my work desk, it took some time but I managed to mitigate the attack and I thought we were good to go so I started driving home (rush hour traffic).
Phoenix shortly after I had left then informed me that he still couldn't reach our site, however I could from work so I found this very strange. I had him ask a few other people to test it and we noticed some could reach it and some couldn't. I instantly realized it was a problem related to the DNS. This was unfavorable timing since I was stuck in traffic with just my phone. It was pretty difficult to remote into my computer at home to diagnose the problem so I was forced to temporarily pull over to the side of the road. Once I had done everything I could the last bit of it was left up to the technician of our host provider and waiting on DNS propagation (which took forever).
Finally, here we are now and everything is up and running as intentional. Please let us know if you experience any abnormalities using our website/services.

Why is moneypot under DDOS attack ? Will this effect investments ? I'm guessing they will pause till everything is under control. But why is this happening ?
Will it affect investment? If it slows or stops players of course if you mean security then this is just fud thread. Of course not. It certainly will. The ddos attack will make the server unable to function well and this will lead to a delay in approving bets from the different gambling apps. So the profits/losses will be significantly reduces and may even come to a halt if the server went down totally. I really hope the attack will be gone soon cause moneypot is really a great site to have. |
