No, we will FUD until you want to puke and dump your coins at a major loss to us.  Then we pump.   Cool

That is the basic strategy!

Did I say I was going to drop a bomb? And as previously promised, it is being announced earlier than we would have normally shared a project.

We have been working behind the scenes on a new system, and are now very comfortable in saying this will be coming to Pinkcoin soon.

The PDF below is more of a "concept" written article as we would really like this system to give back to investors in a different way; for the long term. So we came up with, what we feel is a good foundation for the community to build on and suggest changes and/or ideas before we finalize that part of this project.

So here it is, your introduction to Pay With PINK, and the PINK payment engine.
Read more here: PDF -> http://crypto.pink/wip/paywithpink.pdf

Soon, any vendor that accepts PayPal, will be able to accept PINK!

This is awesome!!

1244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypti | Release June | 100% POS | New Source on: June 30, 2014, 08:03:34 AM
We are aiming to provide a public beta before the start of the pre-sale.

Whats the status of this?

Also can anyone tell me if they've mentioned anything in this thread about setting an investment cap per person?

I'm not gonna read through all that bickering so I'll just grab one comment from the mess:

So far, I just see the dev want more money, but dont see they concern  little about the investor and community and the distribution.

Making money on your investment has little relevance to the continued and future success of these projects.
The more BTC they receive, the wider the distribution (each person gets less). This is important for the continued success of the currency. This is why NXT will never be a viable currency. You making a few extra dollars on your investment makes no difference in the scheme of things. In fact if you all weren't trying to make a quick buck you would see that what's good for the goose is good for the gander (woot, always wanted to use that euphemism).

For example with upper cap:
  • If the coin has no upper cap on total investments, it will have a better distribution. It will flourish and expand more rapidly, and your investment will be worth more in the long term.
  • If the coin has more funding for development, it will be able to reinvest more into development, expansion and marketing. Again your investment will be worth more in the long term.

Without upper cap:
  • If they set a max amount of total investments at say 200 BTC or 500BTC then it will be in essence capping the amount of people that can take part in the initial distribution. This will lead to each of these initial people having much more of the coins, and so each person will have more to sell. Distribution will suffer, your investment won't be worth as much in the long term.
  • If they set a max amount on total investments. They will have less money to reinvest into development and the project won't grow and expand as large/fast as it could have.

I swear these forums are populated by a bunch of little children ><

I believe there is no investment cap per person nor a total investment cap.
1245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypti | Release June | 100% POS | New Source on: June 30, 2014, 07:11:07 AM
I am very familiar with 2nd coins like NXT, EXO, Qora, this coin just has a little innovation on algo, so if total IPO amount is more than 200BTC, it has been beyond its real value, so I will wait until the last day, if total amount is less than 200BTC, I will invest some.

I'm assure the total IPO amount will more than 200BTC.

So it's too risky, the price will go down immediately when it hits exchange like safecoin.

The reason maidsafe went down right after the IPO is because of the whole mastercoin debacle. People who purchased IPO with mastercoin got about twice as many for their money- they were selling at a profit at a price below what the people who bought the IPO with BTC payed.

1247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypti | Release June | 100% POS | New Source on: June 29, 2014, 06:07:23 PM
Based on my understanding, if you collect under 100btc in IPO. investor will receive  (10%+9%)X0.75=14.25% of total coins.  You dev team will receive  85.75% of total coin plus 100 btc.

Before you get more upset, explain this to us.

and one more thing make your project looks bad. If you have a goal of 500 btc, That's  a lot of money and investor can't trust you because you may do unethical things to reach the goal (such as invest to yourself).

PS:
Getting upset and threaten people, Good marketing!!!

Maybe you should go re-read the details before you post... Pre-sale will distribute, at a minimum, 75% of the coins to investors. If 100 btc is invested, then only 15 + 8% will go to the dev team- meaning 77% goes to the investors...
1248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LOL] LeagueCoin | X11 | PoW + PoS on: June 29, 2014, 08:31:10 AM
no news yet?
Finally people realize that this coin is an IPO premine scam, nothing special, and a video with only texts and shades...anyone can make such a video, you probably just downloaded a template and put in some texts and say you made an amazing video, LOL please show some skill and effort

All this account does is troll League coin with lies and FUDs.  Never posted any facts to back up there claim, why continue to troll unless you have an ulterior motive....Cheap coins (they are cheap enough get them while you can)  or is it because there is little to no volume of people selling at this price you feel the need to try an recoup what you sold)

Awesome work on the skin shop Leaguecoin!  Keep up the great work!

He quoted a post from June 4th. "Finally" haha.
1249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VRC] | VeriCoin | PoS - Dynamic Interest | SMS | ANON on: June 28, 2014, 10:04:16 PM
Hey guys, now don't take it the wrong way because I'm really not trying to troll.  VRC has proven itself to be a solid coin with talented devs who seek to innovate and aren't afraid to put time and effort into making the coin a success.  VRC and the team behind it get a big thumbs up in my book.

What I am about to say is more of a criticism of alt coins in general.

It kinda says something about the whole idea of alts when the latest fancy feature to cause a stir is "Hey, look at VRC, now you can use it everywhere BTC is accepted!".  Now I own many alt coins, I mine alts, I trade alts, but yet again, it begs the question no alt has ever been able to answer to my satisfaction which is, "Why wouldn't I just use BTC?".

Speed is a big reason, bitcoin is really slow these days.
Vericoin also pays interest while you are holding, and Bitcoin does not. Best reason ever.

Too bad it isnt a better POS interest rate though, the 10% -20% apr is lookin real good on some of the new coins.

VeriBit will be slightly slower than using BTC directly. It is an automated conversion of VRC to BTC and then sending of the BTC to the target address.

Hard to get the attention this coin needs for a breakout with the vericoin pump going on.. once that dies down, I imagine some of that volume will flow this way.
1251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VRC] | VeriCoin | PoS - Dynamic Interest | SMS | ANON on: June 28, 2014, 03:30:27 AM
Verisend > Darksend

It's proven.
While verisend is cool, it is neither trustless nor decentralized. The devs have even said that this is not their main priority.

If it's not trustless + decentralized... then whats the point?  It's only a gimmick then... well, I guess that's the point.

I believe it is a feature most people in the community wanted as the fad that it is.

There are all kinds of opinions about it of course, all respectable but mine is that there's no place for anon, nor use, on a crypto currency that hopes to break the confines of the very reduced crypto community. All coins will eventually have the best one out there as an option... an option that practyically nobody will use.

Woah, barabbas I actually agree with you on something! Anon is nothing but a gimmick- I won't make any exact estimates but I imagine the vast majority of people currently involved in crypto will never ever use this feature. Even more so, if cryptocurrencies are to ever gain mass adoption (as I hope we all strive for) the percentage of people who would use anon features would drastically diminish further. Additionally, and I believe we have seen this with bitcoin already, it is possible that anon actually inhibits mass adoption...

That may be agreeable for now till the dollar collapses and we have a civil revolution and every person with reclaim their god given rights but we all would like the option for privacy for certain transaction with a push of the button from a wallet. Yes, No ? Also anon is not a feature that adds the value to this coin because all wallets can be connected to the tor network ... I could be wrong but maybe not. You need to look at the features that gives this coin UTILITY but any way dont listen to me I mean you sound like an ITIL expert Tongue What would a shlup that can only afford 4k of coin like me know

I study biochemistry and am really quite a newb when it comes to IT/comp sci and pretty much every thing I know about it I've learned since I got into crypto only a few months back. But, I'm pretty good at binge-learning... I agree with you, I originally bought this coin when it was below 1k satoshis because of the anon promises (not because I care about anon but because I know the market does), but it is the features such as veribit and SMS and the talk of being able to purchase through the wallet with credit cards etc that has me interested in the long term.

Don't worry, there's no chance it'll become a habit.

I certainly hope not.

not. plus darksend works now.

Yeah.. And supersend works now too (and they made it easy to use) so really if anything it is Darksend > Supersend > Verisend

This coin is dead, hahaha, no longer will coins with anonymous devs survive.

To think that a coin which offers anonymity needs non-anonymous devs is somewhat backwards, no? Also, if a coin offering true anonymity were to ever approach the levels of bitcoin I would imagine the original developer(s) would have a large target painted on their heads... Governments and banks have a lot of power and want to keep it that way... Why do you think Satoshi wants to be anonymous?

i think its about the 2.5 million coins worth around 200 btc. not about the 5 btc.

anyways, does someone know if the source has the anonsend? i want to compile windows ( and linux ).

I would be more worried if the drama with polo hadn't happened. When that fudstorm happened a huge dump occurred, the price crashed and I imagine a lot of the IPO investors panic sold.

didnt read that even... i am fully out now as well.

ok bye bye, it only takes a few seconds to read your posts to know what your intentions are lol

lol keep holding your bag and defending this coin.

might just die.

yes and you keep trying to get your buy order filled

nope retracted all.

5 btc IPO too much for you? You get scared easily. A lot of those people already panic sold when the false Polo accusations flew. The fact that the dev has had the 5 BTC from the IPO from the start and is still here working on the coin is a very good sign imo.
