Manchester City were not as sharp as usual yesterday, likewise Erling Haaland, even despite the fact that the team managed to score three goals, whilst the Norwegian got two for himself. Benzema has finally recovered from his injury which is great news for Real Madrid. I can't say it like they were too bad in his absence. They were still scoring goals but they lost points in really unexpected matches quite often in the La Liga as well. Maybe if Benzema played in those matches then the things might have been different. Real Madrid are still in need of his services quite much these days. Because they don't have a proper substitute striker to fill his place well for now.

Rodrygo can play there but he isn't a natural striker. He showed this by his performance so far as well. I don't mean that he was too bad but he wasn't able to score goals as many as Benzema. Mariano seems like the only natural striker in the subs but he is much worse than these two players.

Even though Nunez didn't really contribute much to Liverpool, let's say the purchase price so far hasn't really matched. But there's nothing wrong with giving it a chance in the middle of the season and being able to make a difference. Maybe at least Gakpo and Moh Salah can provide efficient shooting space.

To be honest, I doubt Nunez, because as we can see, his performance in the World Cup has not been outstanding either.

I became less interested after the first half of Arsenal and West Ham but I was later ginger by the first equalizing goal by Saka after they cancel that of Nketiah at beginning of the match. That became a motivation for Arsenal and Martinelli had the second one until it reach Nketiah, Arteta would be proud of his decision by making him replace Gabriel Jesus. If Arsenal could win their match against Brighton, it will even catapult them further away from Manchester City that has been a competition but the last I checked, Arsenal lost at their home to Brighton, I hope they do the same time to balance the points if they win in Brighton's home.

It’s official that Cody Gakpo has joined Liverpool. Honestly I didn’t see this coming. We all expected Manchester United to get him as they were the one certain about Gakpo's deal. But talks between Liverpool and PSV were at an advanced stage on Monday night as Liverpool moved to head off competition from Manchester United. Manchester United had instigated talks but were still to finalise a financial offer and Liverpool have taken advantage. I don’t know if Ten Hag really wanted him because he would have gotten the boy before Liverpool. It’s a good player and a good addition to the Liverpool team.
