Usually teenagers are the ones who think they are supermen able to change the world and work 48h/day...  Roll Eyes

That's also the case of educated people knowing what they talk about.

In France a total of 130 laws are deposited every year. Not passed, only DEPOSITED.
That's a law every 3 days.
That means that to be able to vote on every law proposed, a citizen should have to do that twice a week. You think we can't handle that?

Well you don't even have to read and vote every law, only the ones your concerned by. If it's not in your field of expertise, you don't even have to look at it.

But don't tell me that direct democracy is impossible, 2 laws a week IS NOT so much. Especially as you will have to look at only a third of them, the others being not in your field.

-snip-

The age of primedice is easily determined on the bottom of their website:
© 2013 - 2017 Primedice. All Rights Reserved.

And by going to the first page of this thread.  Wink How many versions/changes are made doesn't say much about the age of the site.

Hmm... The word "age" wasn't the best suited here you're right.
Let's say that it reflects the... Maturity of PD?
Not sure that word is perfect for talking about a website but still. The most advanced in version a site is, the best it can become
(it's not a systematic beneficial change, but most of the time each new version is the opportunity to concrete new parts of a project and globally improve performances, security and stability)
1243  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you think of Comunism? on: February 27, 2017, 04:33:16 PM
Of course we can do it.

It's just that it helps people in power to tell us "we're more skilled, you don't have the knowledge nor the time"
While believe me, we have both!

Are you a teenager?

Ahahah! You'd love that yeah? Grin

Well problem is I'm a full grown-up engineer, and after meeting hundreds of people that made various studies I'm pretty much convince they have no specific skills.
They learn a bit more than us that's true, but most of it is pure bureaucracy junk. Add 200 hours of philosophy and economy to Highschool (at least in France) and I guarantee you anyone will be as skilled as they are.

Even more, most of them are remotely unskilled on the subject they have to work on. While if the people had the power, we could all focus on policies we're competent on. For example I'd just LOVE to kick the ass of current French state secretary of energy, because as an engineer working in that field me and my colleagues would be MUCH MORE suited for those questions.

~snip~

It was the 4th version of PD? Oo
I was sure the current online version is the second one!
They already made 3 major changes?

Yes it's the 4th version of primedice, no major changes in my opinion just a design change and added friends list. That's it.

Here a post from Stunna about the launch of PD4: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=208986.msg15461593#msg15461593

Oh ok!
Thanks for the info I didn't know.
Not that it has much importance but... But that means PD is even older than what I thought xD
Which is good of course.
1245  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can Marine Le Pen win? on: February 27, 2017, 04:28:11 PM
I personally think she has a high chance of winning based on the current state of France as it is now, it's a place where many refugees arrived in and have made France a crime ridden area. I'm not saying the refugees caused all of this but it's a good climate for someone like her to go in and win an election.

She is also someone who is well liked by the PEOPLE and hated by the politicians on the other side based on how fierce she is. I think she is real feminist based on the type of way she really fights for womens rights, unlike the bullshit womens march and the whole hating men thing here in the United States.

AHAHAHAHAHAH
xD

Le Pen a feminist? xD
Yeah and I'm Marry Popins!

She's not a feminist. Here whole "feminist position" is against immigration as is her economical speech, her political speech, her educational speech etc...

No matter if she's right or wrong to fight immigration, you can't say she's a feminist. She's against abortion, against family planning and she voted NO against a moral text at the European Parliament that was not a harsh text but a simple one stating that abortion should be a universal right for women.

YEAH! A true feminist indeed.

On her program of 24 pages, the word women appears twice. Feminism at best.
1246  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can Marine Le Pen win? on: February 27, 2017, 04:21:10 PM
It is going to be extremely difficult for Marine Le Pen. In the first round, I have no doubt that she is going to win. But in the second round, all the mainstream parties are going to unite against her. I am still curious about who will be her opponent in the second round. If it is either Benoît Hamon or François Fillon, then there is a small chance for Le Pen. But zero chance if her opponent is Emmanuel Macron.

I see it the same way. Everyone is going to team up once Le Pen is in second round (thus, she is the only opposition to mainstream that French have). Not impossible, just very, very difficult.

Also unlike Trump. Le Pen has been part of party politics for some years now. People know her, where as part of Trumps appeal was the fact, that he was never politician in the first place.

I think this is the most important point. She and her family are part of the political world for a very long time.
Her father who founded the party is an outspoken antisemit. Pretty sure she is too.

Lol
You can't be part of the FN if you're not at least a bit racist. Can be against the jews, the blacks, the arabs or even better against all.
But you can't feel at home if you're not at least one of that ^^

The same can be said about the mainstream French political parties such as the Parti socialiste, Les Républicains, and En Marche!. You can't be a part of these organizations unless you are ready to hate the native whites.

I don't hate native whites. I hate idiot, and probably more native white idiots than migrants idiots because native white idiots have no excuse for being dumb. They have the education, the resources and the history to be able to think. Sadly they don't integrate their education, they waste the resources and they can't learn from history. (Talking about native white idiots)

While at least migrants idiots have some excuses for being dumb. They got no education and no resource and a poor knowledge of their own history.

She would have won, if only the native French people were allowed to vote. But unfortunately that is not the case. Some 30% of the French population is composed of immigrants, as a result of the French colonial rule during the 18th and 19th centuries. It will be tough for her.

What do you call the native French?
You're a native French when your parents were French? Your grandparents? When you're French since the Revolution?
1248  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you think of Comunism? on: February 27, 2017, 04:17:27 PM
Because people have better things to do than be a 24/7 politician, and will have to delegate their "vigilante powers" into someone, and that someone will become the corrupted...
Don't think politics are or have the solution for everything, pretty often it's more part of the problem than of the solution!

indeed  Cheesy
for 2 weeks romanians had to go out on streets this winter . But i'm glad that i was on streets too to defend our poor democracy  Grin

There will be a fair bit of downtime tomorrow starting in 13 hours (11PM Forum time). There's no issue with the site but we're making some updates to make things faster, smoother and even more stable.

Ok, I like that last point a lot. More Stable  Grin
Everyone was waiting to hear this one from the admins for a very long time and almost everyone will be happy to hear this news as we were having issues while rolling for a very long time and most of the time these complaints were ignored and in the end they are planning to make some real changes to the site and hope it will run smoothly after the update.

First seeing it is believing it. There has been announced changes several times without anything being done to the site, or at least not noticeable and not solving any of the previous problems which occurred after the launch of pd4.

It was the 4th version of PD? Oo
I was sure the current online version is the second one!

1252  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 25, 2017, 02:19:46 PM
The meeting is 11 of March right?
That means we have exactly 2 weeks from now. Is this normal for USA to hold such meetings on Suturday? it's working day?? and result will be same day or need also wait?

That's the decision deadline. There's no associated meeting. They might already have made up their minds. Falling on a Saturday is a bit of a weird move indeed. I've read elsewhere that no ETF has ever passed by doing nothing, which is what some people are expecting here, and there's no way something so new and complex would pass like that either.

We'll know either way before that Saturday I expect.

Absolutely no way ETF goes through.

But you think it will have an effect? Why should it makes btc rate drop? Any correct trader knows the chances are low no?

Ah oui tu dois acheter a plein régime actuellement alors. Wink

3k ça me parait haut, mais si on y arrive tant mieux.

1254  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can Marine Le Pen win? on: February 25, 2017, 02:16:33 PM
But you can never know, to be fair I would love to see a final turn with Melanchon and Lepen

There is no chance of that happening. Jean-Luc Mélenchon has suffered a sharp drop in his ratings. As per the latest opinion polls, he enjoys less than 10% support, with the other mainstream candidates far ahead of him.

Really?
Last update I saw about him was around 18% so a rather good amount for a far left candidate!

Can't say much though, I don't really see the "normal" candidates getting more than 10%. Who in his right mind would vote for something like Fillon or Macron?

Anyone with a brain will have to chose between extreme left and extreme right. The middle is just a bunch of sold bitches. We should all behead them.
1255  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you think of Comunism? on: February 24, 2017, 07:58:45 PM
Communism goes hand in hand with dictatorship. In a system where the central government controls everything it gives rise to corrupt and influential people in high positions. They trample on human rights of their citizens with no care at all.

Unless the government is controlled directly by the people
In this case you can't have heavy corruption!
1256  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can Marine Le Pen win? on: February 24, 2017, 07:34:06 PM
Don't think she will pass.

Mainly because she's a bitch from a rich family completely faking her character. She's a bit our French Hillary xD

But you can never know, to be fair I would love to see a final turn with Melanchon and Lepen

Hard socialist against hard... Hard nothing in fact, against a rich girl who never done anything in her life ^^
1257  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin has gone beyond gold prices on: February 24, 2017, 07:31:22 PM
- It proves Bitcoin is a great guy, Bitcoin becoming a top choice for investment. "Bitcoin has now exceeded the gold price", this is something everyone has wanted, a product that can replace gold and paper money in the future. Well, I've heard that in the future, Bitcoin will combine with gold, i don't know it is right or wrong, but if true, it would be great for investors like me. Bitcoin will open up a whole new world, I hope for this too much

Well I still doubt btc can replace gold...
It's just not the same purpose. BTC is useless as fuck when you think about it ^^
While gold still has some real use and value even if limited.
How can you use gold in physical world apart from considering it as a type of investment? Bitcoin is more awesome since it can be both investment and currency. Many people have heard about Bitcoin and start learning it. Soon, Bitcoin will replace gold with its awesome features and people will ignore gold forever
hmm... Use as the metal maybe? Roll Eyes
chemistry, industry, medicine...
Gold is extremely useful, not just beautiful
And there is also the part about jewelry

Do not press that "sell" button! jeje

Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down, never gonna turn around and desert you!

The new bitcoin anthem for this new ATH to never gonna give it up!
TO CHINA! Angry HAHAH! Ever again! Angry Angry Angry Angry ETF... ETF... ETF! Cheesy Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

I can't believe in the ETF :/
It just can't happen...
I don't even see how it would make any sense!
