1241  Economy / Economics / Re: Who gain's from War ? on: February 25, 2022, 11:35:45 PM
I'm right here, Argument with my mate about the current invasion by Russia in Ukraine.
He just told me countries make money from war, could it be the journalist alone ? Government who please, I'm juvenile at this.
Yes the media goes to a frenzy because they can report the content 24x7 and they can make a lot of money if they could attract users with their war contents and even people who do not watch television normally would tune into to see the updates of a war and thereby getting more advertisement and the weapons manufacturers are the other sector that is going to make a lot of money during situations like this. US is supply Ukraine with weapons and this boost their sales. War is always about strategic positioning and profit making.
Those where the least beneficiaries from the war. But honestly, everyone is affected with this war and no one will gain from this in the long run. We can expect that there will be lot of consequences having this war and those may include mass destruction of cities and definitely will create long lasting effects on a country's economy. And to think that the country's head should prioritize first the welfare of the people, now its all gone. Everyone falls as victims.
1242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price goes down as Russia begins Ukraine invasion on: February 25, 2022, 10:55:08 PM
We can't always avoid such economic consequences, which leads to holders selling their assets, particularly those in Russia and Ukraine. I have no idea how long this war has lasted, and I'm scared that the longer it goes on, the more dumps there will be. But I'll keep myself prepared for whatever comes next, and I'll hang on to it until it's needed. Russia is, without a doubt, the largest country in the globe, not just in Europe. However, BTC, as well as ETH and other cryptocurrencies, has just risen past $38,000. It's terrible that this situation has escalated.
It's good that bitcoin has managed to increase despite of the world crisis that we are facing now, and this war between Russia and Ukraine could have made it worst. But i'm not losing hope as everything will come to an end in due time. The low crypto market will eventually regain its value after those investors who chose to sell their coins due to the effect of the current war, will buy back again in time. In fact, not only crypto that is affected right now, the value of US dollar tends to create price fluctuations too from its steady move, as well as those stocks market.
Actually, not only stocks and US dollar that were affected these days, but more specifically those citizens from Ukraine and Russia are the most affected right now with what is happening on their own countries. I can't imagine how they sustain living their lives there with chaos and a lot of disasters around. And to think that some of them are hodlers of bitcoin, i guess their last resort to sell their bitcoins so they can sustain living there with the growing crisis.
1243  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Be comfortable with your strategy! on: February 25, 2022, 10:31:04 PM
So guys must choose a good strategy for you as well if you really want to become comfortable in trading and also don't force your self with a strategy that cannot even give you good results.

Stop assuming that having a lot strategy can give you a lot of money  as well because that's not true!!

Well said, reason many traders end up losing their capitals when trading is because they tend to trade with emotions, rely on others for signals or try to copy a trading strategies that doesn't suit their style. We're all different and as such should approach problems differently. For some, trading might not be their calling but just because others are doing great there, they they pick interest in it when they themselves don't have the patience or discipline needed to become an expert in the field.

Becoming a successfull traders has alot to do with personal development and trusting yourself which has to do with having strategy to rely on that you used frequently so as to perfect it. I won't say stick with just one but having many shouldn't be an option. You could have one or two that you used every now and then so as to become a master at them and end up having a profitable trade, every now and then.
Good traders have known usually a lot of trading strategies but certainly, they are not a master of them. For most of successful traders, only one or  two strategies are already good enough because they can master it easily and when they have mastered it, then they will also be comfortable in using those strategies. However, its not just about those proven strategies that matter most in trading. Patience, right attitude and consistent knowledge in trading are also good factors to consider to be a successful trader in the end.
1244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to find ICOs worth investing? on: February 25, 2022, 09:58:58 PM
Unfortunately, 99.99% of all of those projects do not really have anything positive for the market and they just take money without getting anything back. I do not know what could be a method where we could stop people to just start a project whenever they want. I keep saying that a project would take maximum of 1 or 2 hours to build, and then a bit of money to do marketing and it shouldn't be this easy.

We should be focusing on something that would be a lot better in the sense how we could end up stop it, if we could stop it then we could be doing better because there will be only just good and decent projects unfortunately that is not the case right now and all these shitcoins are hurting the market.
There are no stopping from the rampant case of scam projects. Almost all of the new projects coming in the market are not that reliable and have turn to scam projects before we knew it. So if you aim of looking to invest for some worthy ICOs, that will be very hard these days. I suggest to never take risk investing in them, just go with bitcoin and reliable altcoins that have been profitable in the market. There are also some valuable projects that have became profitable in short term, but always take caution before investing in them.
We've better not or else, we just lose our money and time with these ICOs. In fact, their time has been done already, we have to face the fact that ICO has no value in the market now. There are good and reliable projects in the market(not ICO) which I think was the best option. I think we have to move on and encourage people to forget about ICO because the truth is that they are already passing by, there are new projects creations that are worth enough compared to them.
We can divert our mindset into investing old projects that have been still profitable until now. Unlike ICOs that have been very frustrating these days as we cannot rely from them anymore for a decent amount of income. Although there are some have remained to be profitable, but their value is not that really high compared before. So lets move on and focus on other projects that will make us profitable instead, but definitely stay away from memes and shit coins as they are never good for investments.
1245  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Words of advice on: February 25, 2022, 08:46:43 PM
Never trust anyone who says you won something. Don't connect your wallet to the fake pancake swap or any other shady  website. Only use the contract address straight from the real  website, yes,  Never store your seed phrases in your phone. Turn off dapps, make sure you disconnect your wallet from pancake swap after you are done using it. Never sell or send coins that just show up in your wallet.

My opinion is that a trader should bring more knowledge about how to ensure the security of his wallets than he would like to gain knowledge about the market before coming to trade in the market. Because no matter how much a trader is an expert in market research, if he has no knowledge about the security of his own trading account, wallet, then his achievements can easily be lost and fall into the trap of scammers. So your advice is important for a trader, because a wrong decision can be a scam for a trader after seeing a lucrative offer.
I guess once you become a trader, you are already responsible on the security of your account or wallet. Otherwise, everything you put an effort to win your trades will just go to waste. So as much as possible, always secure your account by keeping it secret from the people around you. Except your family members because they can be trusted for sure. However, sharing or intending to brag what you achieve is never a good option. Chose to be a lowkey person and everything will be put in its right place.
1246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy Bitcoin, You'll Thank Me Later - Mexican Billionaire Says on: February 25, 2022, 08:00:24 PM
In the face of the current crisis that is happening between Russia 🇷🇺 and Ukraine 🇺🇦  Billionaire Salinas is positive in Bitcoin future and has advised investors to buy bitcoin.
He made a really good recommendation and I would suggest people to take him serious. Anyone who is not investing in Bitcoin now is really going to be missing out on a lot of things in the future. Bitcoin provides us with a big opportunity, big opportunity that the world has never seen before.

So, it is really important that anyone who knows about this should start taking that opportunity right now. Especially right now that the price of Bitcoin is so low, it is now the perfect time for us to start up our investment in Bitcoin and not miss this good one that we have now. The price of Bitcoin would still go up, this bearish trend is just for a while, maybe for a year or two and it will be done, And you would see the price moving up again.
Bitcoin has always been giving us opportunities to invest. It's just that people are more focused on fiat believing that they can get more wealth in fiat than bitcoin. But if they will try to be open minded and start to explore bitcoin, i'm sure they would not want to invest again in fiat.

Bitcoin has always a bright future waiting ahead, and only those who always seize the opportunities by now will become very successful in the future. But maybe the reason why people are more hesitant to invest in bitcoin because of its high volatility, not knowing that its the biggest factor that could make them easily get wealth though bitcoin.
1247  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia gives in and considers accepting bitcoin exchange on: February 24, 2022, 11:40:48 PM
Better for them. If they banned Bitcoin it is not going to make the millions of people who are already Bitcoin investors there to stop buying and selling Bitcoin. People would still continue as long as they have started. I know a few where the government banned Bitcoin all of a sudden and people quickly decided that it was best for them to switch to peer-to-peer exchanges.

So, the government’s are just wasting their time with banning Bitcoin, because it never works. The smart ones would not ban Bitcoin, rather they would legalize it and welcome crypto companies and exchanges into their country, and use that as an opportunity to benefit from cryptocurrency.
Russia has already legalized bitcoin and its a good thing that those citizens will now have to operate not in a grey area anymore but in a very limitless scope. Since legalizing bitcoin simply means that the country is more open to bitcoin trading operations and crypto investors provided that all will follow the policies subjected to it. Not only that, people from neighboring countries will also have the chance to go in Russia so they can start trading without illegalities.
1248  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A thing worst than "don't trade with your emotion" a trader should avoid on: February 24, 2022, 11:21:37 PM
those who claim to be traders on youtube I'm sure not all of them are traders, they're just trying to make money from the content they make. I still have minimal experience in trading but I try hard to be able to be independent in making decisions, I encourage myself to stay focused on learning and learning in trading.

It's not just in trading. Also in the crypto investing space. Majority of the people that claim to be an expert or mentor do not know what they're doing or at not really knowledgeable about the field they claim to be proficient in. That's why it's important to know how to differentiate between those that know their game and those who are just lucky. I don't take and also don't advice anyone to take to bluntly take the advices they get on crypto twitter or YouTube.
They are being paid on it so they also have to look like more knowledgeable so that it will be more convincing on part of the audience particularly for the noobs. When in real life those things are also new to them. This is the reason why traders should be more resourceful and flexible so they can come up with their own market analysis and developed strategies that will be useful for their trades. If they can't rely on their own, then trading should never be their top priority on crypto.
1249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally got paid for some work in bitcoin on: February 24, 2022, 09:28:53 PM
I write apps for a living.  Someone wanted a crypto one done and they paid me in bitcoin. Living the dream.
Wow congrats! I am also doing that as a freelance writer and marketing manager. I prefer crypto as payment than fiat. Good choice!

currently I am a final semester student, besides that I also have a side job as a freelance writer on a platform that pays with crypto. In the future, I want to develop my writing skills to become more expert in order to be able to set my salary rates with Bitcoin. When our work is paid for in Bitcoin, it gives more satisfaction than being paid with fiat.
If you think you have the potentials on your side job, then you should put more practice to it because who knows in the future, that will serve as your main job and accepting bitcoin payment can be a very good choice as it has a lot of future benefits. And not to tell that fiat is nothing compared to bitcoin's value, so there is really a brighter future for us if we can start accepting and saving bitcoin for now. Though its already valuable at the moment, but it will be a lot more valuable in the future if we only know how to manage it.
1250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 24, 2022, 04:52:18 PM

Yes, unfortunately, such situations happen very often.

It is easier to convict a man on a charge of rape than a girl on charges of deliberately slandering a man.

I don't know what happened between Casimero and that girl in the hotel.  It is natural for a man to touch a girl's breasts if he likes her and wants to have sex with her.  Casimero is a healthy person.  He is an athlete with a powerful libido.

However, he is not a rapist.  In my opinion, he is aggressive in the ring, not in dealing with girls.  I think he is innocent.  Although I have little information about this situation.

I hope that the situation will be resolved safely for Casimero.

Oh no, unfortunately another issue rises against Casimero and this time we didn't know who's the one who are telling the truth. Whatever it is, I just do hope that this issue would not going to affect his upcoming fight against Butler and hopefully he'd still able to win this fight to cover up this issue. I might think that this will be a distraction issue to him or might say an accidental problem but whatever happen Casimero still needed to face Butler to defend his title.

We will never know now because if there's a lawsuit, it will be settled in court. What we are doing is just we are just speculating which is not good as we are supposed to speculate on the fight. This new controversy, only proved that Casimero's attitude inside the ring is similar outside the ring.
1251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie Come to Crypto What they should do first? on: February 24, 2022, 04:17:49 PM
First, they need to understand what is crypto, learning the basics is pretty much necessary.

Once they learn the basics, they also have to understand the risk of investing in crypto, it's better this way because we will become more realistic than thinking of the profit alone which is the mistakes of some investors, and because they have that kind of mentality, they will easily panic every time theirs a dump and panic buying when it's pumping but with no plan to sell the coins at the right time.
1252  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin failed to fulfill the purpose it was created for ? on: February 23, 2022, 10:24:54 PM
Bitcoin isn't controlled by any government yet so I don't see how it has failed it's purpose yet, in the means of alternative, I think that it's a gradual process and it's also next to impossible given that it's going to cause a massive power vacuum when fiat is suddenly replaced by bitcoin, and the financial institutions threatened by it's existence is also trying to hinder the progress because they will get obsolete real fast.
Bitcoin is an alternative to fiat, but not a replacement. Indeed Bitcoin is going to gain massive adoption and there will be lots of people who will be making use of it for transactions, but that wouldn’t mean that it would replace fiat. You have to know that fiat is the conventional currency of every country, and every country must have their own official currency.

Bitcoin is not a currency that belongs to any country at all, so it’s just going to be the internet money as some people do say, and not a currency that would replace anything. No government can control Bitcoin, that is why it is decentralized. It can’t be controlled at all.
Well, that is one of the real purpose of bitcoin, to act as an alternative to fiat, and not literally to replace it because that will never happen. And for me, it has already achieved by El Salvador, and hopefully for those countries like Russia, Ukraine and US who have started to legalize bitcoin and regulate it, but maybe in the long run they will adopt bitcoin too as an alternative to their official currency.

And for bitcoin to stay out of control from the government, i don't think it will be fully possible. Because once the government decides to legalize bitcoin, then they will have the less control on it already as they can regulate it from all of its activities.
1253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: February 23, 2022, 06:23:52 PM
But as far as the odds, Spence seems to be a sure winner.
Sorry, I disagree, for me, it seems like the odds is not the only way to determine that the fighter is  a sure winner.
If I'm not mistaken, the odds of Pacman vs Ugas is pretty much similar to this fight, but Ugas upset Pacman and retain the belt.

And I agree that a money line bet doesn't makes any sense. Much better to go for a per round winning on him.

But I don't think this will be an easy fight, Ugas might be a good underdog here. He also wanted to show that he belongs to the elite of welterweight after beating Manny and been talking even a fight with Crawford in the future.
If I can see the odds for per round, I would certainly choose it over a ML bet, that if I will bet on Spence to win.
Remember that Spence was also inactive for a while, so the edge is only Ugas.
1254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin War on: February 23, 2022, 05:52:57 PM
Authoritarian governments would very certainly fight to maintain their use of money as a control device.

Do you anticipate a future in which there is a large-scale battle between pro-and anti-Bitcoin nations?

I don't believe that's a very likely scenario, but it's a concept I've had, and I'd want to hear your thoughts on it.

Thanks!

No, because it is not going to happen that bitcoin will rule the world, the government is centralized therefore centralization will stay. The government could ban bitcoin if they want to, of course, we don't want that to happen, so let us not think that bitcoin will be able to defeat fiat or any government as they are so powerful to protect their interest.
1255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the next big industry move? on: February 23, 2022, 05:31:51 PM
^

It seems to me that online casinos have more prospects for development. Land-based casinos are a kind of conservative approach to gambling in which it is not so easy to integrate new technologies. Online casinos, unlike land-based ones, can be very quickly adapted to new technologies.

Physical casinos will give you the best entertainment if you are looking for real fun. When you are in a casino, it's not that you only gamble, you can also enjoy getting drunk and to meet people there, while in online casinos, everything is just virtual, you can gamble and enjoy but not as entertaining in physical casinos, that's why they still survive and still very profitable.

1257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not a safe haven for criminals on: February 19, 2022, 08:28:58 PM
It doesn't even make any sense for them to even pursue that narrative about Bitcoin in the first place. How many scams and money laundering and many other financial vises have been done with Fiat currency, why was there no rally of banning Fiat currency? Bitcoin was just been hated upon without any meaningful reason but this will fade with more positive news coming forth about the Bitcoin ecosystem that it is not as bad as what they believe.
There are so many criminal activities happened to fiats and people gets used to this that's why they do not question it anymore but btc is a new thing to them and maybe they don't also like the approach of btc that's why they throw any negative statements that they can think of and maybe those people compare btc to paypal because we know that paypal have a reversible function where you can easily recover your money if you think you send it from a scammer but btc cannot do it although there is still another way to track cyber criminals and this news is a proof that it is possible in btc. However, I don't think haters will stop after this but they will find another angle to continue their hate in btc.
As long as bitcoin is never accepted by the government, the people will always throw negative criticisms that will ruin the good reputation of bitcoin. But this news is something an eye opener to those who go against bitcoin because if this incident happened in fiat, then it will be very hard to recover the amount, but since its all in bitcoin, its transparency makes it easier to be traced by the FBI. There are a lot more good things in bitcoin than fiat but most people will never realized that since they always go on the side of the government.
1258  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Journey of a successful trader on: February 19, 2022, 08:04:54 PM
Actually there's only 8 steps to become a successful traders so better to follow it than creating your own journey.!

I won't argue that those are good references, it's good honestly. However, it was simply said than being done. If those things are that easy to achieved, we are all successful by now.

Can we define the true meaning of "successful trader"?

For me, just continue to lurk every day in the world of trading. Experience losses, regrets, disappointment, etc. as that will be the best foundation we have in building a good trading journey.
Thanks for the shared information OP. But for me, you can have your own strategy on how you will exceed in trading. As long as you're not making frequent losses, i guess you are still good in trading. But honestly, what makes us all successful traders is that we often make motivations from all our negative experiences, unexpected losses and yes, pressures and regrets. And we never quit having all of them as being a successful trader is not just developed within a day or month, but a lot of years from taking risk and trading management.
1259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ancajas vs Martinez - Feb 19, 2022 on: February 19, 2022, 03:10:00 PM

I'm not expecting anyone either to be as good as Pacquiao, but to be a champion is already enough. We already have a lot of Filipino champions that we didn't have before Pacman became popular in boxing, it's a blessing and Pacman was there to help the Filipino boxers that has a potential to get bigger fights under his promotion.

Exactly, even the other races like the Americans and Mexicans who are good at boxing, experts still do not think that the boxers of the current generation will be able to surpass the achievement of Pacman who is the only 8th division champion.

Ancajas can make his country proud by winning fights, and as long as he dedicates his fights to his country, the support of the Filipino fans will always be there.
1260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why a single bet is better than a multi bet. on: February 19, 2022, 02:25:01 PM
But yes, being lucky is needed. Because sometimes, no matter what you do, you'll still lose your money after your hardwork on making your chances high on winning.

Gamblers who think they can win do not rely on luck alone, they rely on their skills because they are confident they will win, luck is just a bonus but all they need is consistency in winning. Multi bet, that kind of betting would not give you long-term success, that's why I don't recommend it if you have a serious bankroll and you go for a long-term journey.
