I wouldn't say that Journalist gain much from war, there is always news stories to report about. Would be interesting if during times of war people actually buy more newspapers. Most of my friends are not reading any newspapers anymore, they only rely on online news for free. In general war is bad for economy, we can already see that stocks are tanking due to the fear of war. Nobody would spend a lot of money right now, people are cautious and will delay their spending and focus only on necessary things. The companies that are profiting from war are from the defence and armament industry. Companies that build drones, guns, artillery and all the ammunition will see an uptick in sales. Overall this is only a tiny fraction of a country that actually profits from war, most people are affected negatively.

Primarily those who produces weapons, ammunitions, specialized and modern weapons and all those who produces military equipments from the very basic gear up to the most advanced weapon technology. Also those mainstream media and other financial firms that creates panic during the war that causes every market to be down, just like what happen today, including cryptocurrency.
Other than that, nothing else.
War is not a gain on someone, it is a loss for the whole humanity.
I hope this is not the start of the WWIII.

Not the journalists, they're professionals although their industry is a big business that will surely gain. But I agree to Oasisman that it's the arms dealer and manufacturers that will be the majority at gain when it comes to war.

But with their gain, a lot of lives are lost and there will be more casualties and collateral damage that will happen. The world is monitoring this war between Ukraine and Russia. This should have been avoided if.....well. I just hope that no other countries will join as Putin has warned no country should join this.

There is no winner in a war, only gainers. Gainers are the weapon manufacturers, bullets and other armaments' supplies. If there is no war there will be less income. Both parties that engaged in a high escalated war are losers, the citizens suffer, the community and also the animals. In a worst condition nuclear warheads are used, it could impact not only included countries but also the neighboring ones. Pollution and radiation is visible and the economy falls.

     The ones that should be gaining the most from wars that happens or almost happens are the contractors or the sellers/providers of the weapons that are used to strengthen a countries artillery or boast their strength, next would be the raw material providers that supplies the needs of the weaponry manufacturers. Then a few goes to the necessities providers like food, hygiene stuff etc., (If the war really does happen). Then lastly, the government for all the taxes and some politicians for corruption. There can be more but these are the ones that I think really benefits wars.

If Russia continues and they plan to take over Ukraine, I am sure that they're going to be the one that's going to take the biggest wins in this war, the oligarchs are the other ones that's going to benefit from this too especially those that have stake in war related industries and in extensions, all the rich people all over the world will be able to take advantage of this war.

Today I saw a lot of different posts related war, Russia and Ukraine. Are there anyone here that is from Russia or Ukraine? Those who is not from this countries, how can you blame on and other side, if the sources you are getting information can be manipulated. We are seeing only one side of the situation, the side we are shown by mass media. Personally, I am not following the relationship between those two countries. I cant blame any side. But I am against military engineering and army being used outside own borders. I believe that army can be used only to protect own land, but not own interests.

It doesn't benefits anyone unless they capture the border and invaded the lands and resources, so wars are nothing but to express the ego land power of a country against the other one but since this is modern day and many countries signed deals with other countries which will end up in the starting of third world war.

The one who can benefit this war is the one who wins it and capture successfully the country they targeted since they can take all the resources of that country and be in control on their own land and that's what putin like right now. He is confident on that attack since Putin knows that Ukraine can only get less military support to its allies or to other super power countries.

Its so alerting knowing that this could also happen to other country that's why we.need to be careful on the same like scenario in future.

Its sad the whole scenario is making both countries unsafe for her citizens. When it comes to who makes money from war it's the countries who supply ammunition. Journalists are actually at risk too but if the survive their content from the war can be sold for a wholesome amount. But in all war is bad. I just pray for the safety of people in both countries

War will benefit some countries who are dealing in weapon as main source of income while some countries will suffer like the country that is lesser armed and losing in the fight.  War is not to be encouraged but whatever that will happen, the war between nations do appear from time to time like as Russia and Ukraine are having military taste but the poor will suffer more.

The probelm is, it's not just about war but it's more about defending their sick mentality now and at the end of the day this is proving to be immensely distressing for the people everywhere. There are countries who are suffering inflation and then there are ukranians who are now suffering far more than that. People are stocking up and running away, everything is going in the wrong direction, no one would gain anything from war, what's the point of Killin civilians as well? They armies are using all the funds to attack and not to eradicate the pandemic. It's awful things are getting out of hand.

Innocent people will suffer and lives will be ruined but sometimes, war could implement peace in the end. The conflict between Russia and Ukraine has a reason connected to its history and we can't question why Puttin is doing the invasion.

Logically no one should benefit from war because it is about taking of lives and destruction of properties , landmarks and it set countries backwards. Basically the reason countries go to war is to show superiority above the other and nothing more. It is to use force to achieve a decision, force by weaponry and command obedience from the other and taking of personal glory subduing the other. Some people may argue that a party benefit but I think it is the country that is not involved in the war and selling war equipment.

Both sides will have death and families separated, it's a complete waste of time when there is much to gain for both sides if they work together whichever thier problems are. Ukraine and Russia are just neighbors, you'd wonder what they fight over with since what practically grows on other sides also grows in thiers.

Nobody gains from war, people just lose, it is a destructive and wasteful activity. Putin is invading Ukraine because he is a sick old man, with nothing left to lose and is trying to rebuild the childhood era Soviet Union. He is the equivalent of an SS officer who made his way through the ranks and achieved little for Russia in the last couple decades he has been in power. The economy is a basketcase, when it is the largest size country in the world - there was so much potential. It has been stunted by corruption orchestrated from the highest levels and now we see this theatre of war simply as a distraction from the economic mismanagement that defines him. Instead of showcasing how Russia can peacefully win over allies and countries into its "sphere of influence" it has to resort to violence and suppression. Any Russian who supports this man is part of the same evil.

"If the war really does happen", what else do you really need aside from bombing of a nation and that nation sending bombs back? I mean missiles are fired everywhere on both sides right now, if that is not a war I do not know what is a war.

Do you really need people to fight with guns in their hands in a building or something to consider it a war? This is war, it is happening right now, and there are dozens of people died even on the first hour of it, the total will be in thousands easily. And there is no person who profits from it.

Putin is getting his own desires done, but he is not even gaining anything from it as well. Like he doesn't gain anything aside from being one thing he always wanted done, and he is 70 years old, he could do this a few more times before he dies, and that's it. In a fair election he would have been gone years ago, so it is really not that much profitable since he will rig the elections anyway so it i not about votes.

unfortunately, we are witnessing an unnecessary war. i don't know if it is just ego that pushed russia to do this invasion. just let ukraine join the NATO, let them live on their own. we are already in a civilised era.
no one is gaining on this war. both sides will have casualties, and civilians will suffer because of this unwarranted move. i don't know the sentiments of russians towards putin's leadership, but i believe, it is time to replace him.. just my thoughts.

There are always parties who take advantage of certain situations to enrich themselves, but if there is a war the countries involved will not benefit because one of the effects of war is the disruption of economic problems.

Other countries can benefit if the purchase of war equipment such as weapons, tanks, ammunition, and everything needed during the war increases. Meanwhile, there are certain elements on the government side who can also use war to make a lot of money, especially when they get a large budget for military operations. News channels, content creators and most of the journalists will also experience an increase in revenue due to the interest of the audience, the readership increases to know the current situation in the war zone. But if you ask me who will benefit from the war then I will tell you that it is another country.
