might be it..

as we grow older we get more serious, less stuff seems as funny as it used to be..

I must admit I do appreciate Parker & Stone's parody and political satire based episodes/stuff more now, but I can still appreciate silly humour and don't take myself that seriously. Hopefully SP will bounce back for me with the next season.

"Midgets piss me off". That was a good episode. NAMBLA: North American Marlon Brando Look Alikes  Grin.
12422  Other / Meta / Re: How can we (Bitcointalk) improve this forum ??? (This is 2 help further BTCoin) on: April 12, 2014, 03:11:30 PM
Start a new forum with different admins?

Everyone is free to do that, in fact I think some already have. If this forum is run as badly as a lot of people keep making out then a new, better forum could quickly arise and dominate.

Not as easy or simplistic as that.

And that's why this one dominates and is still used, but if a forum is created that is better than this one in every way then why would people not switch over? All somebody needs to do is create a Facebook to this MySpace and you'll be laughing.
12423  Economy / Services / Re: Selling space on my signature. Highly active account on: April 12, 2014, 03:08:04 PM
Some may say there are offers on here that will pay you for this type of service but to answer that i'm not checking in once a month with some user to grade my posts like some school teacher to see if it's an acceptable post to get paid.

As far as I'm aware none of the deals are like that. Ritz as well as some others you don't even need to check in and you get payment automatically. You're best just checking the signature overview thread to be honest. A couple of deals allow you to have multiple sigs too. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=333916.0
12424  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-04-11] Cyprus police issues arrest warrant for bitcoin entrepreneur on: April 12, 2014, 02:35:46 PM
Yeah, well said. Sadly though it seems many wannabe Bitcoin entrepreneurs are really just looking to scam. How much did he actually make off with in total? I suspect the figures quoted are small fries compared to all the rest.

Most of the people will never launch a complaint. Sometimes, the victims are in a legally weak position (due to factors such as tax evasion). That is what encouraging the scammers.

Yeah, add to the fact that some won't have the balls/money/time/energy etc to file a complaint or follow through with the stresses of a lawsuit etc.

Better to be rich in private.

Maybe, but not so much if you don't even spend any of it. His wealth seems to have been pretty stationary So far, unless he had other secret stashes we don't know about.
12426  Other / Off-topic / Re: I dont think we should evolve any longer as humans on: April 12, 2014, 02:30:39 PM
There are many things happening with science and technology, we are destroying freedom with technology.  Unless we all can can stand up up to against our goverments, are kids are gonna learn to accpet the gov bullies.

We need to evolve but no longer from the ego.  It's time we found our true spiritual nature and oneness once again.

Isn't ego what all humans have unfortunately evolved into? Sometimes I think it's all that separates us from other species. That and greed and all the other deadly sins.

12428  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why satoshi doesn't come forward on: April 12, 2014, 02:26:57 PM
For anyone that doesn't know: Here is satoshi's bct account; inactive since 2010.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3

This account is supposedly completely disabled by bitcointalk admins in order to not give hackers something to brute force. May be why his last post "I am not Dorian Nakamoto" was made on the peertopeer foundation site.

I've not seen that before.
So he cannot (easily) come back here if he wanted to?

Yeah, not sure if this is true or not, but I imagine many people have tried so it might be a good idea. He could always sign an address and use a previous email to easily prove who he was though.
12429  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-04-11] Cyprus police issues arrest warrant for bitcoin entrepreneur on: April 12, 2014, 02:08:10 PM
The title should be Cyprus police issues arrest warrant for bitcoin con-artist, and not Cyprus police issues arrest warrant for bitcoin entrepreneur. People like him bring disrepute to Bitcoin, and eventually pushes its value down. I will be really happy if this man gets a lengthy prison sentence for cheating unsuspecting Bitcoin investors of their hard earned money.

Yeah, well said. Sadly though it seems many wannabe Bitcoin entrepreneurs are really just looking to scam. How much did he actually make off with in total? I suspect the figures quoted are small fries compared to all the rest.
12430  Other / Off-topic / Re: The Goats are out of the pen. Where do we get our milk from now? on: April 12, 2014, 02:00:50 PM
Most of those bitcoin millionaires only come here to brag.
believe me the one who are wise don't brag..!

Well, a truly wise or meek man wouldn't, but I think it'd be hard not to if we were in the situation where we became pretty rich off such an investment. I wonder if we'll ever be tested?  Cheesy
haha maybe after 10years. :p but if i become financially  successful i'll goto some secluded place and build a house of my dreams there and will live my life  happy after :p

Yeah, until you meet a woman and boast to her about all your self-made riches in an attempt to woo her and boom there goes your money and meekness  Grin.

12432  Other / Off-topic / Re: United States of America government - Liberty is way go- heartbled bug on: April 12, 2014, 01:57:22 PM
Since JFK was assassinated probably for trying to rid of the NSA.   This is getting out of control as americans we to stand up against our government, they think we still stand here and do nothing.
We live in a Police society and any person who dares to challenge that position will be put in the deepest dark prison and labeled a terrorist or Traitor or even a fanatical conspiracy theorist to the country.

That's not really true is it? We're not at North Korea levels of paranoia and dictatorship yet, but we could get there pretty easily. Remember: they can't put everybody in prison.

We as a people can change everything if we want to. Stop paying your masters wages and voting for crooks and they'll soon get the picture. Are you going to be the revolutionary that stands up and leads the way?  Cheesy
12434  Other / Off-topic / Re: South Park on: April 12, 2014, 01:52:15 PM
I used to like it a lot but I think it's had its day now (or maybe I've just outgrown it?). The last couple of seasons haven't been that great to be honest. Think it kinda peaked around series 5 or so.

I just go to southparkstudios.com and press random episode, they're all great to me Smiley

it's so different then all the other shows, just some time to relax Smiley

I don't think there's ever been a truly terrible episode, but a lot of the recent ones haven't been that funny either, but like I said, maybe I've just outgrown it. Was my favourite back in early high school though.
12435  Other / Meta / Re: Why does it say "changing Avatar is currently not possible"? on: April 12, 2014, 01:48:32 PM
How many months ago was the hack due to the profile pictures?? It's been months and yet no obvious advances..

This is shameful, bitcoin soaks in pride yet we fail in basic necessities like a hood, working forum.

Theymos,  get to work please, or hire people. ASAP

It was before November, I know that much. And he's already hired people but I agree, the avatars should've been sorted by now.
12436  Other / Meta / Re: How can we (Bitcointalk) improve this forum ??? (This is 2 help further BTCoin) on: April 12, 2014, 01:44:21 PM
Few Changes in Trust System..! +Restriction to post in Currency Exchange section and Gambling Section if possible..!

What changes would you suggest to the trust system, and what and why do you want to restrict to those two forums?

It's a sad state of affairs when people see these sorts of stories and instantly believe they're true. I see the like (and much worse) being shared on Facebook by plebs operating under the assumption that they're true.

It's not true? After all, it was posted on social media - therefore it must be true! It's even safer than the papers, as it's run by the people!

Haha. Well 99.9% of the time they're bullshit. It's the racist shit that baffles / annoys me in equal measure the most. "Omg Muslims are trying to get us banned from our own country" source: some militant racist guy's obscure blog quoting something his mate told him down the pub Cheesy.

12439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (My opinion) The Coin Creation Phase has ended... on: April 12, 2014, 12:43:16 PM
It is not because the coin is not improving a technical aspect that it is not useful. Granted, there are too many coins out there already. Also for our goal there is already SexCoin and TittieCoin. However, it is not because people are later to launch a coin that they are more or less crap than any of the earlier coins. We saw great potential in SexCoin and saw some flaws in the management which is why we are working for months already to involve industry partners before we launch this coin. We are aiming to make a coin for a specific group that benefits from it, make it fair, promote it with the right people, don't just launch it and hope people pick up (there are too many coins for this tactic to work) make sure businesses have a personal interest in the coin and most of all not abandon the coin. Saying all 200 coins you list there are all crap coins without better investigation in what they are trying to achieve is a bit... of a shortcut. In any case I agree that there are too many coins and yet I believe in the one I am promoting enough to join their team.. which is maybe a bit ironic Wink.

PS: we are releasing the coin soon, more information can be found here:

Yeah, you say all that but your coin is called Titcoin, so all of what you just said is probably the same hot air and ideals all devs claim initially, so yeah, probably ironic (unless your post was meant to be entirely ironic (hard to tell these days  Cheesy)).

Valid point, then again, welcome to the internet which is even worse than real life to determine whether someone is lying or not. With AltCoins, you can never be sure.. there is money involved and personally I also don't trust people when money is involved.. only time will tell which coins are still supported by their team and which are not. We are in every case really doing an effort to get industry partners involved which is far from easy and explains why we didn't launch 4 months ago.

Also it actually works against the idea of what most guys want..... your gf finds bitcoin, litecoin etc on you pc fine.... finds titcoin with it being known for use with sex sites ...starts moaning.

Stupid idea and pointless.

Yup, that was my point with Sexcoin. Bitcoin is innocuous and what you use it for will be pretty ambiguous,  but that's not really the case with Titcoin now is it? It's really not going to catch on within the industry and if they were going to use any crypto it'd almost certainly be BTC.
12440  Other / Off-topic / Re: A reply to Ms Pretty on: April 12, 2014, 12:37:25 PM
I saw this a while ago, JP Morgan answered her like a boss, I doubt anyone with the criteria she is asking for will marry her (she is clearly stating she wants to marry a wallet and not the guy) unless he is a desperate 80 yo guy.....
She can get guys to go out with her and buy her expensive stuff but that's another story

It's a theoretical response, did you even read the thread

It's a sad state of affairs when people see these sorts of stories and instantly believe they're true. I see the like (and much worse) being shared on Facebook by plebs operating under the assumption that they're true. It's a nice little story though. Any smart guy with doubts about marrying this type of woman would just say, "sure I'll get married, so long as you sign a Pre-nup"  Grin. You'd certainly see their true colours then.
