To me, it looks like a strawberry not fully processed.

Look what I found in my egg.

Pres of Mises Institute, Doug French (see this article on Bitcoin):
http://lfb.org/today/currencies-of-the-future/

Also it would be interesting to interview those involved with previous failed experiments in alternative currencies, to see the pitfalls and dangers that could affect Bitcoin in the future.
Eg:

Douglas Jackson (e-gold) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E-gold
Eric M. Jackson (author of "The Paypal Wars") http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_PayPal_Wars
Bernard v. Nothaus (Liberty Dollar) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberty_Dollar

Too bad he's no longer with us: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Orlin_Grabbe#Digital_Monetary_Trust

But I'm willing to bet that Sonny Vleisides has personally met JOG: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Orlin_Grabbe#Laissez_Faire_City_Times

Holy hell, man.  How do you stumble across stuff like this?  Surely you didn't remember it.

Actually, I had Zhou Tong write me a program that allows all of Atlas's post to be scrolled at the bottom of my screen.  Grin

Obviously those of you engaging in endless speculation as to what could prompt the SS to investigate him missed this article:

In 2009 the same agency came to his house looking for evidence tying him to the alleged theft of thousands of Social Security numbers held by an insurance company. He was never charged, and Brown said he met with federal agents four times to answer questions; he even agreed to a polygraph, he said.

It has been touched upon at least thrice along with a link to the video showing that raid.

From the Secret Services perspective, MB posting about the Romney stuff on his Timekoin site, coupled with being a Bitcoiner, was probably more than enough for them to look at this guy. Add his support for Obama, and his postings against Romney, not to mention his pics of his cats on Facebook, and even the dumbest SS agent can put together probable cause and have a judge sign off on the warrant.

And, he's now involved in not one, but two alternative currencies.

I'll give the dude the benefit of the doubt, but his track record was more than enough for him to be looked at.

A row of alpaca socks with the Bitcoin logo embroidery on them line up on a mantle would be impressive.

I've just visited your site a second time and all I still see is a static page. No matter where I place the cursor, there is nothing to click. Plus the tiles are still of various sizes. I thought all the tiles would be the same size, many still have that brown bar at the bottom.

YouTube's always been a great way for people to communicate and talk about new things.
Most of the people there make videos to earn some extra cash and many actually make a living out of it.

All the top channels (with the most subscribers) sell things like t-shirts, hats, bracelets, etc... to have an extra cash flow.

What if
...they start selling their stuff with Bitcoins?
...they start accepting donations with Bitcoins?

EDIT: And of course, we can start some funding and pay for those top youtubers to use a Bitcoin T-Shirt.

We should make a small presentation and an explanaition how they can enjoy Bitcoin.

I leave some of the channels I watch every week:
www.youtube.com/user/RayWilliamJohnson
www.youtube.com/user/BlueXephos
www.youtube.com/user/simonscat
www.youtube.com/user/JennaMarbles
www.youtube.com/user/FPSRussia
www.youtube.com/user/EpicMealTime

Taking a page (or two) from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6c0VtOdibcI

And market The Greatest YouTube Video Ever Sold.

Image a girl (or very young lady) in a empty room. (the room may need to be large, but this fact is not apparent at first--would need to be large to contain, hopefully, all the stuff)

The first episode, she is wearing a Bitcoin shirt. Nothing else (as we can see from the waist down--pants she wears will be shown later when an advertised brand approaches her). No earrings. No makeup. No jewelry. No hat.

As she starts amassing items, she talks about them (mostly in the positive). Each episode, a new item is seen/exposed/talked about. And she is always wearing the same Bitcoin shirt/tee/blouse, with no need to ever talk about it again, for it was already discussed in episode #1.

As time goes by, her videos will soon reach the 1 million viewership mark. Have a vanity Bitcoin donation address set up to collect funds, stipulating that all proceeds will be donated to a charity picked by Oprah (1Oprah... address would be nice). This would offer the best chance for her to be on an Oprah show, thus gaining more exposure.

Example on how it could unfold:

Bitcoin shirt.
Indie designer jeans/pants/slacks.
Barn wood table.
Laptop with the Memory Dealers's logo on it (the back side the viewers see).
A picture on the wall behind her.
An empty rack, soon to hold future items supplied by...
A doll on shelf.
The largest Oprah book available sitting on the table.
Earrings.
Necklace.
Ballcap/hat.
Watch.
Bracelet.

In the description would be the link to a website showing all the items and where they came from. And they are all hers, donated for the sole purpose to gain market/mind share.

The girl must be genuine and use her real name, unless she stipulates everywhere that she uses a pseudonym and may later reveal her true identity.

ok, that story can make sense. However it would make knightmb having owned the stick before a pure coincidence. It would be more satisfying if there was a connection.

Coincidences/facts:

  • Stick was mine four years ago, but probably was obtained by a rogue garbage picker. I've seen American Pickers, and Mike Wolf lives just down the road a piece in Lieper's Fork, and I've help set up websites that have antiques for sale.
  • I was a Bitcoiner, but not anymore. I'm into Timekoin for years now.
  • Timekoin is superior to Bitcoin.
  • Is a staunch Obama supporter.
  • Can be seen dissing Romney on many a channels.
  • Has dissed formal employees who've gone on record to repute his claims.
  • Wife runs a daycare center out of their home, yet claim there's no income, hence needing donations.
  • Publishes info about the Romney hack on the TimeKoin forum.

What has happened to The Grand Plan of Sending Flowers?

When it comes to Bitcoin justice, keyboard warriors cannot even successfully retaliate with a bouquet of daisies.

Once used to circle the wagons, the pedals were all plucked during the debate, hence nary enough for a single bouquet.

I like them, and no I am not him.
I like them not, then how do you explain liking them?
I never said I like them. Show me where...
