12461  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: New Scam Site. http://foklers.com on: December 22, 2015, 01:29:25 PM
Says someone who is promoting a MLM ponzi in his signature

Haha, I haven't noticed that. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. MWM is a ponzi, I hope everyone knows that already.

This doesn't mean that the site foklers.com is not a scam though.
12462  Economy / Gambling / Re: [POLL] Best Dice of 2015 on: December 22, 2015, 09:55:19 AM
We are winning this again Smiley .

Well when you're essentially buying votes from people, what do you expect?

That's not fair.

Nobody paid me for my vote but I voted PrimeDice just because I love the site and the community from almost the very beginning.

And btw I'm not against someone "buying" votes because doing so they are showing that they do care about their customers and about the reputation of their site.
12463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone heard of BITCOIN-CLUB.ORG? on: December 22, 2015, 09:40:37 AM
Hi Guys,

I'm not affiliated with the above website and just wanted to check if anyone here is using the above service? It's an MLM system where members can earn bitcoins through an awareness campaign. They have a very nice presentation on youtube, detailing what the program is all about, and how much you can earn.

If interested, please sign-up using my referral code (will send you through private message) since you cannot register without a code. There is no need to pay anything until you are ready to activate your account which costs only $22.

If you do activate your account, let me know and I will return $2 worth of bitcoins to you.  Wink This is equivalent to 1-month membership for using the system.

Really? only $22?

And you are saying that you are not affiliated with the website. Well, I believe you, but what if they are scam? $22 is not nothing. Where I live many people should work 3 days from morning till evening to earn that money and I know that there are many countries where you should work even more.

If you are not sure that the site isn't a scam (and I have a feeling that most likely it is a scam) then you shouldn't advertise it.
12464  Economy / Gambling / Re: Biggest bitcoin bet of 2015? on: December 21, 2015, 04:38:46 PM
A player who is assumed to be an old bettor called mechs did a large bet of over 1300 BTC in a single bet at https://BetKing.io (former PocketRocketsCasino) a while back. Is there anybody to beat this kind of a bet anymore? The highroller managed to build up hundreds of BTC via small multipliers before losing.

What are your thoughts? Is there any point in betting hundreds of thousands of dollars on dice, even if the site is trusted? I personally feel like I'm betting a crap ton even if the bet sizes are as tiny as 0.1 BTC...

Exactly. I feel the same even if i'm betting around 0.01.

As for that guy who in the previous bet won 100 BTC and then lost 1,300 I have no words except greed. Greed ate him. Greed will eat everyone of us if we won't stop in the right time.
12465  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: December 21, 2015, 04:16:36 PM
Investing, because of inflation.

Yeah, sure, but most of the time investing isn't a good choice too. You should be very careful when investing especially when they offer you a big profit in a short period of time. You may lose part of your money because of inflation if you hold them but you may lose all of them investing.
12466  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: December 21, 2015, 09:51:41 AM
Lets say I want to buy bitcoins today and store them for 20 years to use a my retirement fund.  Live comfortably, but don't need to buy a yacht or anything.  How many do you think I would need to buy?

In 20 years IMO the price of 1 Bitcoin will be around $10k, I mean if for 1 USD will be possible to buy same things as today. So if you are going to live 40 years more from that time and you want to spend around $5k or BTC0.5 per month(which I think is a pretty good amount for a comfortable life) then

40 x 12 x 0.5 = 240

The answer to your question is BTC240.
12467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you are going to gamble to make money, Please just kill your self . on: December 20, 2015, 10:43:02 AM
People who gamble for fun only and don't treat that as a job or a source of income have no problems and are happy with this hobby.

I agree. Why isn't it possible to gamble just for fun? If you have a gambling addiction then, yes, you shouldn't gamble even for fun. Same thing with alcoholics - they can't have just small drink for fun, if they start drinking they can't stop, but if you are a healthy person then of course you can drink for fun and nothing bad will happen to you because of that. Well, it might be bad even for nonalcoholics, but we are talking in general here.
12468  Economy / Economics / Re: Holdings of gold vs Holdings of btc on: December 20, 2015, 10:28:52 AM
Does anyone have any idea how many people are using gold as a store of value vs btc?  And how long do you think until we have the same user Base as holders of gold?

The total value of all gold ever mined is around US$8 trillion.

The total number of bitcoins in circulation is around 15 million.

If Bitcoin were valued as gold then the price of 1 Bitcoin would be US$533,000.

I think in the future we might see that price, but we are far from it for now.
12469  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen if BTC was Banned? on: December 19, 2015, 09:57:53 AM
What do you guys think it would happen if all the governments in the world declared bitcoin to be illegal?
How do you think the community would react? What could be the possible solutions?

Firstly I don't think Western governments are so stupid to ban entirely such thing as Bitcoin. Actually to ban anything in the world of free choice is ridiculous. But if it will happen then the community will react adequately - it will just ignore the ban.
12470  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be funny? (REWARD) on: December 18, 2015, 05:35:58 PM
Alright, here's my joke(invented it just now) and my payment address(who knows maybe I have a chance):
17YDEtGerkwwT97hob4a5pVhGwxUQ4dG7r

It is possible to make Bitcoin from any coin of course,
but making it from golden coins is much easier and healthier too.

12471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin user adoption is horrible - here is why: on: December 18, 2015, 04:05:44 PM
In buying a coffee with BTC my main concern will be to have to pay at least 5 cents for a transaction fee.
By paying with card the merchant pays the fee while paying with BTC we pay the fees. I think that's the main adoption problem in buying a coffee with my bitcoin

oh, c'mon! Do you really think 5 cents makes a big difference? I don't think so.

If we all want Bitcoin to be accepted more widely we should be ready to sacrifice a bit at least IMO and 5 cents is not a big sacrifice.

I agree. Directbet is okay.

Just curious, why do you want to bet on Horse Racing? Aren't those arranged as almost anything else in sports?

Good luck anyway! Smiley

Yesterday @7.6win so now you know why

Wow! Grats! Not sure that I fully understand this though. Did you mean you won BTC7.6 betting on Horse Racing on Directbet?

That's great then! Buy some Christmas gifts with that money, don't lose them betting again.
12473  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did anyone buy during $1200? on: December 18, 2015, 01:31:07 PM
Totally the opposite thing. Bought 2 when it was 200 because I wanted to buy something online, that never happened so I just hodl them.
When It went to 1200 I felt like I was touching a beautiful girl, I tought it would go higher so I sold those 2 by 1100. Great times Cool

Congrats! Very few people were lucky enough to use the bubble to their advantage. And I wasn't among them either. Though I didn't buy at $1k+ I still regret that I didn't buy at $200 like you did. Good job, mate!
12474  Economy / Gambling / Re: [POLL] Best Dice of 2015 on: December 18, 2015, 09:19:46 AM
Primedice.com
Biggest and best dice. Trust and security.
Nice giveaways and big faucet.

I love PrimeDice and I voted for it too, but do you think that 200 sats faucet might be called big?

There are some dice gambling sites which give you 500 or even 1000 sats right away and on PD you have 1000 sats only after 1 BTC wagered. But apart from that they are great and they do many nice giveaways that's true.
12475  Other / Archival / Re: Do you think bitcoins will disapear or become unused? on: December 18, 2015, 09:06:30 AM
At this point amount of money invested in bitcoin market is too big to let it just die. It's true that bitcoin is relatively new tech and people are skeptical about it longevity but cryptocurrencies are here to stay.
For Bitcoin to disappear completely we would need some sort of global catastrophe and that is unlikely to happen.

I agree with this. Speculating about the possibility of total disappearance of Bitcoin is like talking about disappearance of the Internet or about disappearance of the human race Smiley This won't happen. At least optimists like myself think so. )
12476  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Pics of Large Miner Hosting Center Under Construction on: December 18, 2015, 08:17:34 AM
Do you still have space to get some miners going?= i might be interested in hosting
What aer the prices here for?

Would be rgeat ot know Smiley

regards
lama-hunter

Actually that's interesting to me too. I think that you shouldn't pay a cent of your money, they just collect some part of coins which were mined on your miners. But that's just my speculation. it's interesting to see the real answers from the guys.
12477  Economy / Gambling / Re: You ask how to win - did you know how to push your luck ? on: December 18, 2015, 08:10:32 AM
Your strategy looks interesting.. But martingale sometimes its work for but i didnt use the real bitcoin i use the free faucet bonus..
And try my luck with martingale and 25% chance. some times i got 0.0012 with starting bet of 1 satoshis...
But i will try that strategy...

Man, that "strategy" is a killer, it will kill your whole balance in no time. You might only have some fun playing like that with small amounts, but for realz - it's a killer.
Yeah i know thats why i only using the free coins in dice site.
Sometimes i got won some times i lost but its just for fun and try my luck with martingale strategy using free faucet bonus...
Im still studying the dice game to gain a profit with the real bitcoin..

I wish you good luck with that of course, but unfortunately there is no way to learn how to gain profit from a dice game by "studying". This is no Biology, mate. With gambling every time you think you know exactly how to win you lose everything. Happened many times to many people (me included).

Also balance is now 0

For $5 I risked 2 BTC kms

you must be regret doing that.
i can turn 2 btc to 2.3 btc at least in a day by doing altcoin trade.
very unlucky guy.

I hope you understand that altcoin trading is almost the same thing as gambling: you might make a lot of money but you also might lose everything in one day.

If you knew a certain way to turn 2 btc to 2.3 btc in a day you'd be a billionaire in a year.

12480  Other / Off-topic / Re: If You Won A Million Dollars.. How Much Bitcoin Would You Buy? on: December 17, 2015, 10:40:34 AM
I think I would invest 50% of that amount. 25% would be invested in mining equipment. Rest 25% would be left aside, for private use.

Now you made me think that I need to play the lotto, even I'm not a fan of luck games. Damn you!

Haha, yeah! I thought so too!  Cheesy Although I heard that the chance of winning in say The UK National Lottery is lesser than to die before you can get your prize (even if you win).  Grin  But nevertheless we all are trying.
