Cheesy
12482  Other / Off-topic / binary vs quantum for dummies on: December 01, 2019, 01:35:47 PM
alot of people think quantum is some transdimensional multi universe theory that breaks physics. sorry. but it aint

simply put the 'dimension' reference is not about multi universe, but instead 2D to 3D

in even more simple form

binary          quantum
   1                   3
   |                  1+2
   0                   0

or if your into the electric voltage
binary: 0v or 1v
quantum: 0v or 0.33v or 0.66v or 1v

what this means is that a bit is 0 or 1.... and a qubit is 0,1,2,3
meaning that to get a number of 16 requires 4 bits 2x2X2X2
but requires only 2 qubits 4x4

so using 8 switches/bits/qubits binary can go to 256, and quantum can go to 65536

the whole story of quantum being off and on at the same time is not a thing of breaking physics. its simply that instead of having 2 options of off and on there are 4 options where the ones in the middle give more choice.
its like a light switch vs a dimmer dial light panel
when only a 3rd of power is let through to a light, the light is not fully off, nor fully on.. its just dimly lit

having 4 options instead of just 2 allows more complicated choices. EG
it changes simple yes or no questions to being allowed to be answered with no, sometimes, most of the time, yes

imagine it like driving a road but your GPS only allowed you to go forward(1) and backward(0)
then
imagine it like driving a road and your GPS allowed  forward(3) and backward(0). left(1) right(2)

if you check out google 'quantum' system you see this
binary
0--1

quantum
 2    3
    X
 0    1

a hang over is not about the liver.

livers can regrow and regenerate all on their own. if your getting too drunk too often for a liver to naturally rcover and become damaged. no herb will fix it by sunrise. sorry it dont work that way

a hang over is mainly dehydration
what is important is to be hydrated with water because alcohol does not hydrate you.

what people dont realise is that the supplement milk thistle doesnt give the hangover cure . its the glass of water you use to drink the supplement down with

anyway. if your getting so drunk that your getting hangovers. and its happening regularly.. then maybe its better to look at solving the problem the night before a hangover. EG drink less alcohol and drink more water.
EG drink enough to get the alcohol buzz, but not enough to be messed up the next morning
12484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A new proof-of-work system for Bitcoin mining? on: November 30, 2019, 11:48:43 PM
many people dont realise if it didnt cost something like $900 to mine gold. then the average spot price would not be $1000+
because if every man and his dog can dig it out their own backyard for the price of a metal spoon and a coffee filter. then the price of gold would drop to $ single digits

not due to any change in rarity/scarcity/demand.. but just due to the fact its so cheap to mine no one would even bother to buy for $1000+ when they can get it for $1. thus the price drops even if industry still demanded X tonnes a year

if everyone could mine for gold in their backyard, it wouldn't be scarce. you're not accounting for that.

commodity price tends towards the cost of production because producers must remain profitable. that requires demand above the cost of production. the price of gold could fall several hundred $$ and that would just cause loss-making mines to shut down. in turn, the supply of gold being produced would fall to account for the falling demand.

i am accounting for it. but your just not playing the scenario out properly
take it this way
instead of 1 excavator using all its diesel to dig up and sluice 100ounces a week($90k costs). imagine 100 people spoon sifting 1 ounce ofgold each where it only cost them a spoon a filter paper and 8 hours labour

same supply(100ounce a week).. same demand(industry still needs it). = same scarcity.. only difference is the cost of acquiring it goes from $900+ a ounce to being $70 an ounce
suddenly the profit margin becomes massive meaning the next buyer can play that against the miner and progressively reduce the price while still offering a profitable price.. slowly making the price go down as people try to sell before being undercut by other competitors
12485  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [SERIOUS] How do we fix the College Admissions Process? A short list on: November 30, 2019, 11:12:27 PM
about the admissions process

what most dont know is behind the scenes college get sponsors from big companies. this is not just sports but also science and industry
there are electric companies that help finance colleges to train electrician engineers to be the future electric generation plant workers.
law firms, hospitals and as i said NBA NFL sports

but they only get a best rate/bonus if the student grades have a high standard of passing their degree. so colleges do get picky and only want people that are serious about learning and show good thinking/problem solving skills to make getting their degree easier than just a dumb jock who just wants to get drunk and date cheerleaders.

there are other secret payments like internships/apprenticeships/ work experience where by the colleges get paid for many hidden reasons

so having the right student available who fits the needs has an actual priority
this does effect a colleges 'rankings' as they show good exam results and then good follow on employment prestige so colleges will always be picky.

a way to solve the accessibility to getting students able to get a degree, for those that dont care about going to prestige colleges. can be done by simply doing a 'home school' /internet based courses. as costs can be lowered.
for instance one college can record tutors lectures and then make that video available to millions of online students. this way instead of a lecture hall of 50 students paying towards the costs of the tutor/hall/administration/lodgings. that tutor is getting paid by 1million students meaning fee's get cut by 2000x compared to a student attending a college
so if a attending college fee was $20k.. a online college could be $10
thus making college degree's accessible to everyone
12486  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Your thoughts about Greta Thunberg on: November 30, 2019, 07:34:15 PM
again for emphasis
you dont ned to squeeze everyone into sigapore or texas.
you dont then have to dedicate other stats for farm/solar land.

EACH PERSON GETS TO HAVE 8000m of space and can have people spread out and live at a nice distance apart from each other

there is NO REASON to turn just texas into a megacity
12487  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Your thoughts about Greta Thunberg on: November 30, 2019, 03:37:54 PM
singapore does currently..
but if you cram the world population into the space of singapore like the video suggests about living space to sleep use bathroom and watch tv. a space of singapore does not include sustainable farming/electric generation space
the video was purely about the housing space required

my point is that each person if evenly spaced apart with their own allotment of land to grow food, have a solar farm and a desalination system has 8000metres of land per person which adequetely fits into the 'habitable land' amount.
meaning no issues

i then went on to say that because of technology and research its possible to instead of have a one floor house per person but an apartment block of people stacked ontop of each other.. maybe 6 floors high with use of LED red/blue light to grow plants and then solar farm on the roof. that means the population can grow 6x larger. without 'overcrowding'

then knowing that plants can be grown 'indoors' using LED and solar if the 6x population reached a tipping point then using the other inhabitable land can occur meaning 12x population again without over crowding

then if that reached a tipping point then just stack up the 6 floor apartment block to be 12 floor apartments by having solar on the sides and not just the roof
=24x population

and thats a 24 block apartment per 8000metre area.. 24 people per many hundred of metres apart distance to the next apartment block allowing for 192BILLION people total..
means still not over crowded

the main point is this
there is no need to cram everyone into a single megacity when 24 people per few hundred metres can total 192billion population that can live sustainably
12488  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Global Warming Real? on: November 30, 2019, 05:42:02 AM
global warning is not saying the entire planet increases by 2 degree's higher than their single latitudes previous

imagine slicing the planet horizontally.. global warming is NOT (numbers not accurate for demo purpose only)
                                                          before     after
         north pole                                    -10        -8

         antarctica                                     -10        -8

global warming IS (numbers not accurate for demo purpose only)
                                                          before     after
         north pole                                    -10        -8
   alaska      n europe                              10         10
  N.USA    main europe                            20         23

         antarctica                                     -10        -12

as you can see some places can stay the same while others get increasingly warmer. some can get increasingly cooler
as you can se the numbers are not strictly +2increase per each latitude... however the average is ~+2 as a whole planet AVERAGE

global warming is a valid term. but understanding/explaining it is the thing people cant do in a 2 minute news segment. its why the term climate change should be used instead

once people get passed the misunderstanding of climate change. people can move on and start realising carbons 0.01% change over 150 years is not the 2 degree impactor.. but water vapour is..
then people can concentrate on how to research more about changes to the water cycle and fix the water cycle, thus fix climate change
12489  Other / Politics & Society / Re: LEGAL "FACTS" MOST PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW, BUT SHOULD on: November 30, 2019, 03:10:32 AM
badecker.. you are soooooo fooling yourself believing the freeman stuff

the whole 'capitalised name is not a human but a corporate entity/fiction' crap that you have ben spoonfed is wrong on so many levels

you have been fooled into thinking when someone is born a 'trust' is set up of a corporate fiction..
sorry but that aint how it works

your truly stuck in a decade old myth
you are not preaching something new or revolutionary.. your stuck spouting out a busted myth of a decade ago.. you just dont realise it yet

what you do not realise is that people can later in life set up a trust and put their assets into that trust and that way distance themselves from any repurcussions.
but pretending your name is a trust set up at birth. is literally as stupid as shouting out that your not human and you identify yourself as a helicopter

do you know that many smart people dont buy cars. they lease them. that way if they default any loan(credit card/mortgage/personal loan). a debt collector cannot knock on your door and take the car as a recovery value because the car does not belong to you. so its not your asset for them to take.

you trying to denounce your birthname is not going to stop your car thats registered to your name from being taken. however putting the cars registration in another name of a trust unrelated to you will protect you

you really have much to learn and about a decade of stuff to catch up on
atleast try to look passed the myth. stop just treating it as gospel and really try to do the research
12490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BItcoin: The path to $10,000,000 ten million dollars per coin on: November 30, 2019, 02:09:12 AM
There is a extremely low possibility for this

'as for rare/scarce. there are 2.1 quadrillion sharable units. and if devs have their way there will be 2.1 quintillion sharable units'

You can't compare cell phones with bitcoin. You can create a ton of cellphones as much as you can and there is no protocol that could stop you from create MORE.

However, the Bitcoin created in 2009 will be just ONE unique code that only allows everyone to create 21 million.

firstly. if you have been following the LN direction the devs ar trying to push. ud understand the 1000x multiple of sharable units.

as for other stuff...

imagine it this way.
world average life savings is $24k per person
thats $168 trillion
which is ~$8mill a bitcoin
thats if every single persons assets and currency was put in as bitcoin... $8m
again $8m

but not everyone is going to go for the 'one world currency' idea ..
people like diversity, they like choice they like to spread their assets and not have everything locked up in one basket
thus smart investors try to have a 10% spread per asset , meaning if the world was smart $800k

however thats the good side.
there are 200 countries meaning 200 diverse cultures that may not want to b globalised to a single currency. so not only think 10% diversity but 0.5% diversity meaning $40k bitcoin value

we are not in a world of a on currency society. we are not in a world of a one phone society.
even apple doesnt have 7billion phones
infact the google searches of apples '2billion ios devices' does not mean 2billion people have them. it means many people have 3 devices on average (phone, tablet and computer)
so apple even with its big world wide known brand is not a 'single world device'
people like choice and freedom

people want choice and freedom and something to hedge their bets against

this is why i personally dont think the $10m PR campaign holds legs. and what we should instead be doing is making bitcoin (NOT alternate networks cobranding) but making bitcoin useful for the masses so that bitcoin is sustainable and useful

if people just think about it getting to $10m and cash out because bitcoin is not useful.. all that happens is a mass flood back to fiat once people get rich.. leaving bitcoin crashing and not useful
12491  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Your thoughts about Greta Thunberg on: November 30, 2019, 12:19:51 AM
I'm amazed at how she has all of a sudden appeared in the media and how she has b
been pushed forward at such a young age.

in sweden her family are famous/popular. so she got some screen time.. then it went viral

its the same as 'harmione granger' (emma watson) become an ambassador purely because she was a well known face.
if she never starred in harry potter she would not have got the same viral fame for her opinions

as for greta.
if she never had actor parents/grandparents. no one would have known her name or cared.

..
anyways
gretas message is.. but should not be 'do something or ill hate you'
but should be.. do this, this and this and the world will thank you

she totally misses the point by not saying what the 'something' should be.

its like a kid asking a parent to make them dinner...
.. but after making the dinner the kid says 'i didnt want that, it nasty'
atleast tell your superiors what you want so they dont waste their time
12492  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your opinion of gun control? on: November 30, 2019, 12:09:46 AM
Do you like Communism? EVERYBODY is in authority. After all, government doesn't tell you what to wear today, or what to have for breakfast, or anything else. The public is in authority, except in China.
Cool

the FDA DO ban many food items and also suggest what kind of crappy processed foods schools should sell to kids

gotta laugh. kids not allowed to buy a kinder egg(chocolate egg with a toy inside) but kids can go to a gun range and learn to shoot
12493  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Your thoughts about Greta Thunberg on: November 29, 2019, 10:36:38 PM
..........

The entire earths population can fit in the Grand Canyon.

There was a good video I saw on YouTube, you can watch it here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_iNRGac_uM

It's called 'What if Everyone lived in just one city'.

At the density of Singapore, the entire world population would fit in the state of Texas&Oklahoma.

but thats cramming people in one location. without calculating the extra space needed for electric, food and clean water production(your example is just the housing)

no one denies people can be densly crammed into small area's. but the myth wasnt the people. it was the land neded for food/energy and water production, plus workspace and product manufacturing.

however people needing a single story house for 4 and land for agriculture is possible without issues
then if you layer people ontop of each other because its possible to grow plants multilayered(stackd ontop of each other) reduces the square metres needed
12494  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Your thoughts about Greta Thunberg on: November 29, 2019, 04:29:46 PM
over population is not the problem

buying land and having goverments subsidise it so people cant farm or build on it, and then make people have to cram together in cities makes it appear like over population

did you know in many countries there are LESS school chairs, less hospital beds than previous years. thus making it appear like schools and hospitals ar over crowded.

if you take the stats of the size of earths land. and subtract the inhabitable amount
Quote
The total land surface area of Earth is about 57,308,738 square miles, of which about 33% is desert and about 24% is mountainous. Subtracting this uninhabitable 57% (32,665,981 mi2) from the total land area leaves 24,642,757 square miles or 15.77 billion acres of habitable land.

2 acres/8k metres a person or 8acres/32kmetres for a family of 4
far more than people need to live and grow thir own food on
there are ways to turn salt water into clear water and use the salt byproduct to be used for many things.

there are solar panels to generate electric and LED lights that can emit more of the needed light wavelength than the sun to grow plants meaning plants can grow UNDER a roof of solar panels sustainably

for instance a 2metre shade caused by a solarpanel only needs 24 watts of red/blue light to shine on the plants.
thus if you have only 7 hours of daylight a 300w sp can light up 6 'floors' of plants below it for 14 hours

thus its like having 32km of land covered with solar panels with equivalent of 256km of plant growing
12495  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who has entered a shop (non-BTC accepting) and asked if they will accept Crypto? on: November 29, 2019, 02:25:45 PM
a few tips
dont just ask the cashier. try to find the superviser or the manager.
most cashiers just answer questions but dont feedback it up to their boss.

if there is a local bitcoin meetup. get together and ask which stores most people populate to and formalise a 'adoption campaign' for the most usd stores by bitcoinrs.

adoption campaign
the most successful tactic. find a local bitcoiner who likes to buy coins regularly. club together to have a upfront 'bar tab' of fiat and ask the bitcoin buyer to make a QR code for his address.
approach the store and ask them if they would trial something risk free.
tell them they will have $$ upfront (like a prepayment) to cover anyone asking to pay by btc.
then teach the store staff all they have to do is use a price calculator app and show the QR code. once a explorer app shows transaction received treat the purchase as a normal cash purchase and take the money out of the 'tab'
that way the store gets paid cash at no risk and the bitcoin buyer get the coin

if it gets used alot and the store needs regular 'tab' refills then it can become more official by making it a contracted service between the bitcoin buyer and the store. or signing th store upto a payment gateway

this is not about "banking" (storing/savings) this is about letting EU financial institutions to be able to offer ETF investments and able to day trad bitcoin on behalf of its customers

in the first draft it would have allowed banks to purchase ETF assets via third parties services (thus banks only 'own' the shares) on customers behalf but the newest draft means banks could create their own ETF's and lock up coins in their own custody and then buy and sell shares to customers

its like
no draft = not being able to play poker
first draft = banks being the proxy poker player for someone else that has no clue
newest draft = banks being the 'house' able to shuffle the deck and hand out the cards
12498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BItcoin: The path to $10,000,000 ten million dollars per coin on: November 29, 2019, 03:12:56 AM
Another fudster in the thread.
You cant compare Bitcoins with phones. It is a very stupid analogy.
Bitcoin is unique, rare, scarce (limited in supply), unhackable, sensorship resistance and cannot be conterfeited
Phones cant work as money
There are about 2000 altcoins and none of them have the trust and the capabilities of Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is 11 years old and people still dumping 1 year old "new" shitcoins to buy bitcoin.
If you think that a centralized shitcoin could beat Bitcoin..........well, that is far from happening. Almost impossible.
I achieved my dreams already, so you are not hurting my feelings.
I am very sorry if you are a nocoiner.

seems your new to bitcoin and dont know it all yet
bitcoin 2019 is not the same thing as bitcoin 2009

you say it cant b counterfitted and is unique.. sorry but there are as YOU SAY 'about 2000 altcoins'
even the dollar is not unique. there is australian, canadian, zimbabwee, .. loads of dollars.

as for rare/scarce. there are 2.1 quadrillion sharable units. and if devs have their way there will be 2.1 quintillion sharable units

bitcoin was unique 2009-2011. then litecoin and namecoin popped up
bitcoin however retained popularity because
the units were more scarce than litecoin.
the price already had higher valuation and the investment in mining was higher, and people didnt want to lose it
merchants already were advertising 'bitcoin accepted here'

..
however bitcoin does not offer the most transactions per day compared to others anymore
however bitcoin does not offer the lowest transaction cost compared to others anymore
however bitcoin does not offer the diverse development it used to compared to others

merchants are dropping off from their 'bitcoin accepted here'

even developers that were bitcoin heavy have started playing around with altcoins and non-chain networks
bitcoin wont just keep going up in value due to 'to big to fail'.. but bitcoin can go up if BITCOIN UTILITY increases

oh and as for her 'school strike' antics..

but to then persuade other countries children to do strikes which are not allowed in other countries education systems. is her not really being honest and also making kids do things that can affct them for life because they just follow a trend. without knowing the different circumstances

its like US are free to have guns so persuading other countries that dont allow guns to illegally purchase guns 'as a protest'
its like a country where speeding at 90mph is not a crime. telling other countries to drive at 90mph 'as a protest'
