1261  Economy / Speculation / Re: What happens when the bitcoin-bigplayers sell theire coins? on: June 02, 2013, 11:19:48 AM
And I really hate this 'fair' distribution nonsense. What the heck is 'fair'?

While it's probably impossible to achieve something that is "fair", it's good to avoid the 1% of the people own 90% of the stuff.
1262  Economy / Speculation / Re: What happens when the bitcoin-bigplayers sell theire coins? on: June 02, 2013, 11:13:54 AM

i wish them good luck and i hope they enjoy they soon-to-be-worthless cash Wink

Why do you assume they keep it in that?
Maybe they buy stuff with it? It's not like fiat will be worthless tomorrow, it will just slowly lose worth while more is printed out.
1263  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Misleading eBay Listing Titles on: June 01, 2013, 10:22:57 PM
I agree that this a bad practice to mislead people.
Also it's very annoying, if you want to search for Bitcoin related stuff.
1264  Other / Meta / Re: Marketplace trust on: June 01, 2013, 09:14:22 PM
I think the 'scammed' checkbox needs to be renamed to 'negative feedback' or something similar. I just looked at a few feedback profiles, and see some people are leaving negative feedback for others, but not checking the scam box... which as I understand it, is the same as positive feedback(?)

I wasn't clear on this either, at first. Someone left me false negative feedback, so I wrote feedback for him, but since he didn't scam me, I didn't check the box, and I think it ended up helping him! (I just deleted it and re-did it with the scam checkbox, and now it correctly shows up as red)

Just a thought...

+1 for this, I may distrust people based on  their actions/posts without being scammed myself (e.g. someone posting phishing links).
It would be nice if you could choose between leaving a negative impression and an actual scam report.
1265  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Intro Ducing my self! on: June 01, 2013, 08:49:11 PM
I'm working to build a Bitcoin mining Rig Category onto the site (GPU mining).

That's probably not worth the effort, GPU mining will be obselete soon.
1266  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: help, how can I reply to the Ripple giveaway thread? on: June 01, 2013, 08:25:26 PM
You need to have at least 5 posts and 4 active forum hours before you can post outside the newbie area.
1267  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Powerball Lotto Pool 40 Million Jackpot) on: June 01, 2013, 04:56:24 PM
Its powerball. As with any lotto....longshot odds.
yes, I wouldn't recommend anyone playing lotto either Cheesy
1268  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Powerball Lotto Pool 40 Million Jackpot) on: June 01, 2013, 04:29:21 PM
What is the house edge of this lottery?
I don't think it can top Satoshidice& Co with 2% and less, so I wouldn't recommend gambling with them even if your offer is no scam.
1269  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: June 01, 2013, 04:19:54 PM
Why would ASICMINER care about the share price? Tongue

Well, they might not benefit directly from the share price, but it's a valuation of their company.
But a good website wouldn't just increase the share values only, it would probably also increase their sales and profits.
1270  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [EDU] How to leave negative feedback (Read this after you've been scammed!) on: June 01, 2013, 04:12:50 PM
- It's OK to post a rating about the person in general, not tied to a specific trade.
From the trust-introduction thread in the Meta-forum, so I it was alright to use the trust system this way.

Here you are on https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust . So basically all members are trusting you and all will see my feedback and not your feedback.  This is fair system right?
I didn't know my opinion had this impact though, so I will think again about my feedback.

Edit:
I did some research:
- As reaction on my negative feedback you and the users "Badabing" and "zeeshanblc" gave me bad trust ratings in a short time
- You have a lot of Powercoins and the last postings of those other two users are heavily pushing powercoin
- there was no mentioning of this issue in any other thread, so the chance of them both jumping at me by chance isn't that big
-> one could assume those two accounts are your secondary accounts

2,000.00 PowerCoin (PWC) Coins More Advanced than Bitcoin

I'm offering 2,000.00 PowerCoin (PWC) Coins

This is coin is more advanced than Bitcoin:

1. 30 Seconds Confirmation - Conpared to bitcoin 30 minutes - 3 hours.

2. Asic Resistant - Bitcoin is currently being rape by asic miners.

3. Secure Sourcecode

4. Dedicated Dev Team

from your Bitmit auction. This is at least bad pratice.

You are not a scammer, but my impression is that use shady tactics to mislead people, so I think a negative trust rating is justified.
But I've updated the rating to be more appropiate.

I might be wrong, but this is just a warning for people to be cautious.
1271  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: June 01, 2013, 03:45:53 PM
If AM launch website, I am 100% sure about shares price skyrocketing. Because nowadays AM is not user friendly, and really hard to find/follow the news for no real bitcoin freaks.
Yes, the first time I've read about Asicminer shares, I tried to read into this, but the scattered data in 300+ pages scared me away.
1272  Economy / Lending / Re: CoinLenders :: Get bitcoin loans, and earn interest on your deposits! on: June 01, 2013, 03:43:03 PM
We're back Smiley

Sorry for the delay.

Withdraw fees have being lowered to match the new network defaults.

Great Smiley
Very much appreciated, the old fee was kinda high.
1273  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [EDU] How to leave negative feedback (Read this after you've been scammed!) on: June 01, 2013, 03:40:00 PM
Did you know you are on default list? So basically all people will see my feedback not yours? You are abusing the system because you know the admin is trusting you?
No, enlighten me, what is this default list?
I'm not abusing the system, I'm just using it.

http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1ffok8/redditwide_tipping_has_been_enabled_for_all_users/

Give people an amount of Bitcoins to start with ^^
I think Reddit tipping is able to have some impact.
E.g. Make creative people like musicians aware of this easy way to receive money.
(But don't annoy people with spamming lots of tiny tips or preaching please)
1275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anybody selling Bitcoin for Paypal /Payza? on: June 01, 2013, 03:07:11 PM
Guess what you can buy these hacked PP accounts with... give you 2 guesses!

RT

gummy bears? :3

Most people won't do any paypal transaction for Bitcoins, unless the other one is a very trusted person (or they take some very high fees).
1276  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [EDU] How to leave negative feedback (Read this after you've been scammed!) on: June 01, 2013, 02:34:18 PM
If you don't understand from the example above. This is option is only for trades. Not by how you feel. Did you see the warning: "Trade with extreme caution"? You only want to abuse the system and destroy everyone's reputation even if I never done any harm to you.

Only people trusting me will see that warning on the left.
Where does it state that it's only for trades and not for impressions? I would like to be able to distinct between those feedbacks though.
1277  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [EDU] How to leave negative feedback (Read this after you've been scammed!) on: June 01, 2013, 02:27:33 PM
But by checking the option "scammed". You already telling the world that I scammed you even I didn't.

Yes, that's why I want it to be renamed/other options or the information that the trust system is only to be used after a trade.
1278  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [EDU] How to leave negative feedback (Read this after you've been scammed!) on: June 01, 2013, 02:23:24 PM
The letters will only become red if you checked the "scam option". Did I scam you or the others?
Is there an other way to leave negative trust? If I don't check the box the rating is postive, isn't it?
So, otherwise it would become a positive trust, but I agree there should be more options.
(and like I said, If I am only supposed to use this after a deal I will remove the feedback)
1279  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [EDU] How to leave negative feedback (Read this after you've been scammed!) on: June 01, 2013, 02:19:09 PM
I never done any trades with him. He is posting bogus feedback. He only wants to ruin my reputation.
I don't even know you, why should I want to do that?
1280  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [EDU] How to leave negative feedback (Read this after you've been scammed!) on: June 01, 2013, 02:11:42 PM
Some user posting negative feedback to me. even I do not have any trade with them. How can I remove  this?
This user is me and all it says is that I don't trust you, because of the way you are marketing Powercoin.
It's a trust system, so I made a note that I don't trust your offers, that's what the system is for isn't it?

If you are only allowed to make such entrys after a deal, I will remove it.
