@swogerino @rohang @Igebotz Yeah I personally can't really tell right now what strategy works but I believe consistency is key. I mentioned maybe 18 point average (for 180 total points sounds decent Top 10 but too early to tell). Worth mentioning plenty of 10-point stakes on decent favourites suggest many agree here.
Being consistent is good, but it definitely won't lead to the top - since the number of participants is large, someone will be lucky enough to guess several unlikely results with big odds. Personally, I'll only bet on unlikely outcomes from now on - I forgot to use my 10 points last round and now feel like I'm way behind, so I need to bet heavily. I'm surprised myself that the King of backing the underdogs is advicing us against it now. buwaytress when did you start believing in consistency? Even though it was quite tough to watch Arsenal after Sevilla had pulled a goal back, and Gabriel Jesus being forced to be substituted for Eddie Nketiah, and Sevilla were overwhelming the Arsenal's defense and I thought we might just have another game like the one against Lens. I'm glad to have earned 18.5 points with my chips for this week  18.5 points is massive my Idolo I went all out on Atletico to give me 20max for the week against weak Celtic defense. I have been having problems with my internet connection at home from time to time since yesterday. However it is completely my fault that I didn't make predictions. Because I forgot about it. It is really very sad for me that I'm going to get a points penalty in addition to losing this week. However we are still at the beginning of the season. I will have many opportunities to make up for this week.

I never claimed you were a terrible cop for making me free logos. I'm only saying you should give your client more space to payment. |

Very newbie question here, why i have 2 free transfer this week? Is for all or is something special? I remember some old players write here in some weeks we have more transfers so we can make big chances in that weeks, so its this one one of these?
Because you rolled over your one free transfer last GW, you have two this week, and if you roll it over again, you'll have three FT next GW...... Go on. Unused free transfers are rolled over and do not expire. I have 2FT as well because I didn't use mine. If you do not use your free transfer, you are able to make an additional free transfer the following Gameweek. If you do not use this saved free transfer in the following Gameweek, it will be carried over until you do. You can never have more than 1 saved transfer. |

This time the question is clearer for non eSports people, we all know what the final is In eSports you have upper bracket final, lower bracket final and grand final. We need of course two teams that will reach grand final. If somebody has winner predicted as well, we will accept it and just ignore that part of answer. We dropped that part since I expected the grand final to take place late at Sunday evening and we want to finish the round on Sunday. I saw what you did there but I will not respond! . I'm not a friend of putting all my eggs in the same basket but of course it can turn out to be profitable. I'm still trying my current strategy to get around 12-15 points each round by submitting relatively "safe" bets, like this round on Bayern, Man City or RB Leipzig. They are strong or at least decent teams and have a relatively easy opponent. Possibly, betting in favor of Napoli away against Union Berlin might be an opportunity as well as Union has been horrible the last few weeks. Odds are decent @2.00 but Union can be strong at home (at least last season)... I don't like putting all of my eggs in one basket, but this form of competition necessitates leapfrogging several toes to a specific position before placing the safe bets to sustain momentum. I'm currently deep on the table, and if I can successfully hit my one high risk play, I may be in the top 10 from where I am now. I already have two teams in mind and will hit the bomb anytime soon after pre-match conference. |

@Igebotz, I won't be transfering Botman out just yet, he'll be on the bench for those games weeks, there are no defenders with tempting returns that I'd rather trade him for, If I had the extra bank roll, Botman for Trippier would have been the call for me, so I'll likely just wait it out.
I received an update on his injury and it appears that he will be out for no more than two weeks. At first, I believed he would be out for a longer period of time, but since it is only two weeks, you are right to keep him on the bench for a few more weeks. I'll check if his price drops in the next few days to see if I can afford him. Looking for Gusto replacement now that James is fully recovered and back to the team. I can't help but admire this team, talk about skill, btw this isn't my fpl team but the highest of game week 9 in the entire world..
Am wondering to myself what stops us from getting such scores with such a practical team and without any Manchester city assets that I expect everyone to own at least 1 but a non City squad, this is a slap in the face..well played Gretna FC(Serbia).

The problem is that Slaman29 showed some big fat cojones with his move to bet on Galatasaray winning against Manchester United. Now it depends whether someone is aiming for a decent result or whether someone still wants to try to stand on the podium eventually. It is interesting because we have literally three different strategies from our 3 leaders Slaman29, rdase and vd309.
Slaman29 pulled the trigger and went all in after messing up the first round. rdbase went with a mix of moderate risk (spreading points over many bets) in the first round and high risk in the second round, also benefitting from the Manchester United - Galatasaray game with 5 points @6.6. vd309 went relatively high risk in the first round and moderate risk in the second round.
I am not sure how likely it is that someone who refrains from high risk entirely will make it onto the podium. @Slaman29's move really killed it and he could now revert back to a more moderate strategy and it would still be hard for anyone to catch up if he keeps having some luck and continuously win an average of 22 points, although the average is probably a bit lower as Slaman29 added an outlier to that calculation himself.
Those that take risks when necessary win in this type of competition. If you play it safe and distribute your points across multiple matches, you will be chasing shadows. I had the worst first round since I took a small risk dividing my points across fixtures and only scored 3+ points. I took a medium risk in the second round and earned roughly 13+ points. I also took the risk of betting Galatasaray to win against Manuted, although I didn't back it up enough and wish I did. Manchester United were in dreadful form, and I had it in my head that Galatasaray would win. I'm going to pull the trigger this week since I have nothing to lose; if it works out, I'll move up to a visible spot on the table; if it doesn't, I'll still get to stay in the middle of the table that I'm already in. |

You performed well with your midfielders, but the buwatress I know will never play Mbuemo ahead of Saka; something tells me that you missed the deadline and missed to make changes to your team, and everything worked out well for you. You'll need to make an early substitution, Saka for Mbuemo for GW10. This weekend, Arsenal will face Sheffield united. But it's incredibly challenging to persuade someone who thinks Nunez is superior to Halaand.
He's not, FPL wise. I'm a gambler is all =D The only Halaandless team- shows why you're deep bottom of the league, you just can't survive without those Halaand points. |

Anyone else think Ramsdale would have kept Chelski out better yesterday (I know he wasn't even on bench for family reasons)? Not that I'm calling for Raya to be rescinded. I know Arteta wants a style of play he can get from Raya and that takes time but even that doesn't excuse his positioning (which needs to be better if he will fit Arteta's keeper vision). Kind of feel for Aaron.
If Ramsdale had been in goal, we would have been up 4-0 by the 80th minute because there is no way he would have saved those one-on-one situations against Jackson and Palmer in the second half. I can't blame Raya for the Mudryk goal; I've seen such errors many times against outstanding goalkeepers. P.S. I only found out today but sad day for English football as United lost one more thing good for them. Rest in peace, Sir Bobby.
Must be tough for united fans losing both Sir Bobby and Mrs. Ferguson just few weeks apart. Compared to recent signings (Caicedo, Enzo, Nunez and Rice) I will say Alexis was a steal of a transfer. Only Rice has performed better than him... and maybe arguably Enzo in recent games and he is cheaper than all of them.
With enough time he will surely improve.
Rice is a homegrown player who proved himself in the league for years, and every honest football fan understood he was not going to flop or struggle to adjust to life at the Emirates. |

We have a similar setup, but your bench isn't looking well, and you've already taken WC? Yes, I used wild card a couple of weeks ago, just two after I had to take more than a significant double digits points hit, but I'm actually not owrried about my bench I have two free transfers at the moment I'll be using only just one, my starting xi is as perfect as I would want, so I only need one more slightly above mid player, and my bench as solely full of defenders so I barely bothered, I however will be using just one Free transfer this week just so it doesn't go to waste. Took your WC too early and your team isn't far from what I have and I've only taken -8 I guess and 2FT still available at the moment. Botman is out for 2-3 weeks you may want to consider selling him off for the time being. |
