1262  Other / Meta / Re: Forum merit system on: March 07, 2020, 02:07:07 PM
The merit system was implemented by the forum mod in other to force and increase post quality by this forum users which is the reason why some campaign managers also included it as one of the major requirements when selecting campaign participants. But merit misuse is so many these days especially in the Wall Observer BTC/USD (Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion) and some local thread where people would post absolutely nothing worth to be merited.

Note : I understand that I'm not the first person to complain about merit been abused. But
the question is, what are the forum mods doing about all this?
Keep your complaining to yourself. WHO do you think you are? Forum police? People can judge for themselves who's worthy of merit NOT you.

Even if these were true, I still don't want to drive a goddamn computer with wheels which some other guy can press a button and stop its engine.

Fuck this.

Nice one Putin . Cheap fuel here we come
Russia is great Grin
For now. Low oil price means all investments in oil production are canceled, resulting in oil shortages later. Your only hope is unexpectedly high electric car production numbers, to offset a shrinking oil industry.
Glass half empty?
Just a subject that I find fascinating. These days oil is mostly used for transportation. I think a reasonable percentage of that percentage will go electric in a shorter time than the time it takes to generate a return on new oil investments. Media gets all worked up about a couple percent changes in worldwide oil production, but turns a blind eye to demand that could fall faster than the oil industry can adapt to without big write-offs.

electric car
Poor resale value, [...]
I'm on the lookout for a second-hand Tesla, and unfortunately they have a very good resale value  Grin

Try living in the UK.  We have some of the most expensive fuel prices in the world

Btw freebitco.in just started its own signature campaign. It will last only 4 weeks but they may continue if the results are good.

If any of you unemployed hat wearers need some extra coins, you may want to take a look. Pay is not bad too, $60/week.

The establishment chicken littles are starting to crow. I wonder how much is corona virus effect as stated and how much is them just saying it is to cover their rears...

Quote
The coronavirus may wipe out corporate growth in 2020, perhaps completely.

Goldman Sachs said Thursday in a note U.S. companies will generate no earnings growth in 2020. Underlying the call is Goldman’s view that the coronavirus is expected to spread around the globe and severely harm economic activity.

The market couldn't stand this growth rate anyway.  The Fed wanted to hike the rates a little, and only pressure from the orange ape made them keep on easin'.  This corona thing is actually a help for those who need a different narrative.  'Corona gets all the blame' is like 'dog ate my homework'.
+20 wo merit for this post

#random Retirement is strange. I'm primarily living off of Bitcoin-funded fiat investments, that pay me out monthly over the next couple decades or so, and I find it highly amusing that I'm using portions of those disbursements to re-buy corn-dip.

/shrugs
Sounds logical to me
