Yes this was caused by a pool mining early.... check the logs the mining started about 2 mins before launch!

he told he cant do that, coins lost, thats it choose another pool DEVS ACT!! U HAVE SCAM POOL HERE!!! 500k coins lost? no no... dev must fix it:) As one of the devs on the project, it is difficult to see a pool fail in some way as it sometime reflects on the project as a whole. Unfortunately some pools have issues, thats just the way it is, especially with new coins it can be a nightmare for some people.. |

This has already been reiterated many times, getting to the point of beating a dead horse. The only reason for not doing this is if you're not a real dev since you don't know how or you don't in fact care about your coin as you claim (eg. dump and cash-in your premine for example) -- or both. Dude, why are you getting so het up about it... you're already colouring the moon with YellowCoin which is Scrypt yes? |

Im one of the Devs for this coin... want see u work this up to vote big exchanges, marketing hype etc etc all that makes coin well known.. i dont care about that premine because its not big compared to work u have still to do. We have an individual who has been working on promotion via Twitter and Reddit (in the works). We have also submitted requests to Cryptsy and MintPal for voting. I don't know that much about PoS but here's what Sunny King had to say: CheckStakeModifierCheckpoints() is just used to make sure the stake modifier computation is deterministic and every node computes to the same value. It's only checked with a few blocks, like the hard checkpoint that bitcoin uses.
It's not actually part of the protocol itself. The reason it was there is because of the complexity of modifier computation there could be bugs that made it non-deterministic. I put it there just so if someone runs into it then I would know a bug exists with the modifier computation.
Peercoin currently has 3 checkpoints added after genesis. I guess you can add them whenever you feel like it, in connection with client updates for instance. Thanks for the reply, i'll check it out |

The way i see it there was nothing wrong with this launch!
As a dev i know from experience how unforgiving some of the trolls are in these forums at launch time. If the wallet isn't immediately ready and installed immediately within 5 seconds. by some means of voodoo magic. then is all "FAIL" "RELAUNCH" Blah blah blah
Yes PoS coins are very popular at the moment and nearly all end up on exchanges and some very good rates, just look at WhiteCoin and YellowCoin, and without fail the first 5-10 pages are full of trolls abusing the launch in some way.
Pre-Mine is almost a necessity in this day and ago of Alt Coins if the devs have any chance of promoting and keeping the coin running. And if their coin ends up being exchanged , then the devs can actually pay for hosting and time spent launching and running a coin. instead of always being out of pocket.
At the end of the day we are all here for the same reason, because Crypto is addictive and there is always the lure of making some extra cash if the coin gets on exchanges, hence why PoS coins are the coins of the moment.
So i say let keep going, who cares if there is Brown, Purple, Pink or Magnolia coin, there is plenty of wealth to go around and as more pople get interested in Crypto then we need more coins to fill the new voids.
So instead of bashing the devs for not being able to perform magic. be patient and just start mining, have fun, and most of all Support the devs, because they are the ones who bring this stuff to you in whatever form it is!
