Unfortunately not. The BTC38 community are not agreeing with the new plans, and the BTC38 admins are not replying to my messages about how we can fix the problems on the network.. The recent price and volumes are completely out of my control.

I'll keep trying to contact them with new ideas and hopefully will get the network problems fixed.

After a lengthy discussion and ideas with the QQ group users the BOST status is as follows.

Issues & Discussions:
The current network is running extremely slow due to a lack of staking. This seems to be due to the current daily trading volumes of 200 - 300 BTC on BTC38. As a result most users have all their BOST holdings only on BTC38 and not in their wallets staking. This has directly affected the performance of the network by creating almost no staking pressure. This is no good for the network performance and security so a new plan has been decided.

The new plan
After lengthy discussions with the users and the managers of the BTC38 exchange, BOST will be hard forked to create 500,000 more coins in the blockchain. These will be used to create permanent staking nodes to ensure the network performance is maintained in the future.

Progress
The new blockchain is currently being created in a private network. We will only release the new wallet once the network is running stably. When the network is ready a mandatory wallet update will be published that every must update and use. All previous wallets will be disconnected from the network.

Unfortunately the situation we are in is one of the negative possibilities of having a PoS only project such as BOST. This is why new permanent staking nodes must be created.

The future
On a positive note, the BoostCoin project is now 1.5 years old and has grown steadily in its user base and daily trading volumes. Now with a market cap of $270000 we will be looking at ways of increasing this for 2016!

Yes i know this thread is light on info, but the main info is and has been in the QQ groups..
We already have a fix in place and a privately running network, the only thing we're waiting for is feedback from the QQ groups about the new specifications.

One of the nodes has now been recovered and is serving the network correctly, the rest will follow soon.
The next core release will bring the coding development in line with the bost.link framework standards, and also some new improvements to ensure the stability of the network. This will include separation of the feature found in the previous wallet versions into Core and Full wallets

Looking into this now, noticed a couple of the nodes are offline. Will get this sorted in the next couple of hours


Edit:  we've found there has been a hardware failure in the Azure cloud which has affected both this and BoostCoin. We're now working to recover the service.

Proposal information:
The purpose of this post is to start discussions with the BOST communities about securing a new round of funding for the promotion and development of the BOST framework. Currently the majority of the BOST network and user populations are located in China. The next logical step for BOST is to increase it’s footprint in China and look at the viability of setting up local business that is focused more on the Chinese market.

Stakeholders:
BTC38 is a very important hub for users to meet and exchange information related to BOST and other exchangeable currencies. The fact that BoostCoin can be exchange to and from both CNY and BTC makes it a very liquid market with regular trading volumes sometimes exceeding the equivalent of 100,000 USD in 24 hours. We feel this is just the start and we intend to bolster the BTC38 markets by introducing more users and bringing over communities from other projects within the BOST framework.

Funding:
We have explored many different ideas for funding, e.g. direct BTC investment, donations and exploiting market fluctuations, but we think the most effective way to secure funding is to increase the total BOST in existence. Then use this new funding to re-invest in the business. We understand that increasing the overall supply will slightly dilute the current value of each BOST, but we know this will be counteracted by the increase in value of BOST due to the new business scope. This method is the most tangible method we have discussed internally, now its time for the BOST and BTC38 users to discuss within the QQ groups.

Yes i agree. The BoostCoin user groups have expressed interest in the MaiaCoin user base. We are also in talks of expanding the business into China via a round of new funding. I want to include the Maia user base in to this as well... While there is little activity the network remains constant and we will keep it that way

BoostCoin cannot be mined, it is a Proof of Stake project. The Proof of Work phase finished over a year ago.
The blocks are created by an internal process based on the amount of coins you hold in your wallet and for how long.

- BlockNet xBridge integration which will help to bridge both BOST and MAIA communities.
- Permanent Tor integration using the latest code, focusing more as a usable proxy on top of the obscurity it offers

Hey all

It's an issue with the source recipe files. Your .pro file references all those files that are missing from the /src and /src/qt folders.
Simple job, just comment out all those references and all will be fine.

e.g.
this file doesn't exist in the /src/qt but is referenced here in the .pro makefile
