Just checked the block explorer with regard to all the orphans. This is very strange for me: http://btm.cryptocloudhosting.org/tx/a2bd15a9a74f7bd596794fc314c53d7c47dff5ce96d375a7d83d7ebeb1041dcaAll the input addresses are the one getting the mined rewards, however they sent all the mined BTM to the same address. It looks like someone setup 15 different miners/pools to mine that doesn't make any sense to me (why not put all the hashes to one pool)?!? Of course I could miss something and would appreciate any explanation. Cheers Yes, there is someone that is in control of the network which results in no one else but them getting new BTM. Forcing everyone else to gen orphans. It's likely why the price is going down too. Sure, but what is the advantage having 15 independent pools? If the hash power is directed to one pool, they will get also all the blocks (almost). Would be possible they run the pools with modified wallets even if they ere synchronised with other wallets? The difference with Bitmark is that this is not just someone with a lot of hashrate finding a majority of the blocks; the group in control of the network is actively refusing to build upon blocks from any other pool. So they have 51+% of the network hashrate but are mining 100% of the blocks because the chain height of all other pools can not keep up with their solo chain height. This behavior is very risky - it's an all or nothing game. Either you maintain 51% control and you get 100% of the blocks, or you drop to 49% control and you now have 0 blocks. It makes the most sense to accept other pools' blocks and and go on to mining the next block; at least this way when you do find a block it's unlikely to get reversed no matter the distribution of hashrate on the network. With selfish mining, the attacker(s) does not need 51%, much less is necessary once the attackers private blockchain has some blocks mined in hidden. I guess somewhere between 30-40% (others argue it can be even less than that) of total hashrate are enough to constantly orphanize others blocks as soon as the attackers chain is a few blocks longer than the real/honest blockchain.

Na, First thing I did before even powering on was to make an IMG copy of the stick. Ill take a peak and see if I can get to the files that way, but would prefer to get root login so I can add some other jobs to the system for monitoring and reporting anyhow.
Im wondering if they have documented the "low power" mode yet. They spoke of it in the video, to achieve the 1.5MH/W (or something similar). I would like to code in to the system a restart with power-level change for my 3pm-6pm window where my power rates are higher (Time of Use plan). I would go into "low-power" mode during the 3pm-6pm window. Don't know how to do that yet. Hopefully something as simple as a "STOP, change voltage, START" sequence... Should be able to automate it.
I guess you tried pi/innosilicon for ssh access when you own A2s, right? Otherwise it is easy if you have access to a linux pc, I did this when I received my first A2 as I didn't know about the pi/innosilicon user.

Just got mine hooked up but the ip address on miner 192.168.1.254 is the same as my router address.. Do I need to change the miner ip address? Update: I was able to change the ip address on the miner but it will not start to mine. Don't know why ![Angry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/angry.gif) If I leave it factory it locks up my whole internet..I show that my router has the same address When you change the IP of the miner to i.e. 192.168.1.253, make sure you set the default gateway in the miner to 192.168.1.254 and configure a working DNS server too.

you need to create a webservice with a servlet http://your.url/servlet and then CAT will send a JSON data when a Gain occurs. Cool feature, Sampey. Works perfectly fine, thank you!

.......... TITAN4 (Gentarkin v1.0.4): 6 cubes (3/4 dies +3'5/4 dies + 4/4 dies + 4/4 dies + 4/4 dies + 4/4 dies) = 22'5 dies working ............
I can sell, at least, a controller with 4 cubes. Please, you can make offers, but don't make lowball offers, i will ignore them. I will send from Spain and accept Escrow with SebastianJu or OgNasty. I was thinking to sell each full working cube for 1.2BTC and 0.9BTC for each controller. .........
My offer is for 4 perfectly working cubes from TITAN 4 4x 1,2 =4,8 BTC + shipping No controller. Mmmm, you don't want any cube with 3/4 or 2/4 dies working? I was thinking about selling all my cubes and controllers for 15 BTC + shipping, but if i only can sell the full working cubes, who will buy the other cubes? I might be interested in a controller + eventually 2 or 3 2/4 or 3/4-working cubes if you can make a good price and other people only want the good cubes. I have currently not the mains power available to run another full Titan set at 1200+W, but I am looking for spare parts and ev. a 5th cube for my currently working set to be sure to ever ROI it.. I propose I wait until you know if and how you can sell to larger buyers all or most and we can talk about what I can afford from the remainings.

Hi everybody!
Looking for somes nodes?
Can we help us?
For new blockchain!
Thank's
Hi beliomir, You shouldn't need any nodes with the new wallet from the OP, it has hardcoded seed nodes that are working. If you are upgrading and using the same datadir, make sure to remove peers.dat and you should be able to get connected and sync'ed quickly. HTH

Sorry to hear that your controllers are broken.
May I ask how much you are asking for the cubes with the burnt connectors? And from where are you shipping?
Thanks.

Thank you very much! I have searched so long for the right y-cables, have ordered a few (you really can not have too much in spare of these when running titans ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) ) I have a crimping plier and all needed to make my own pci-E connector/cables, but I never succeeded to squeeze 2 wires of 16AWG into one pin.

So this 2.0 wallet is still POW? then what it really updating? sorry I may miss the discussion I am wondering what's the last block of POW of the new updated wallet? and when it will enter poS? Once it in POS there will be no miner needed to push the network right?
There will be no POS in the current wallet. It was discussed at some point but was then turned down in favour of pure POW. The new wallet has the same reward schedule as the old. From OP: Q: Why a wallet-update that is causing a fork?A: At some point in the recent past an attacker started to orphanize every and all blocks of all other TIPS miners. The attacker was seemingly able to deliberatly orphanize any block or group of blocks he wished and claim them for himself. Ahmed aka mrbodz kindly provided a new wallet source based on latest Feathercoin sources that uses ACP, advanced checkpointing which counters this possible attack vector. Actually the new wallet would use the same blockchain as before, but would refuse to accept series of blocks that orphanize large numbers of previous (honestly) mined blocks. So as soon as the first attack started the new and improved wallet forked and stuck to the blocks of honest miners.

Is bter changing to the new blockchain near or mid term? Anyone? If so I would buy them all over at nova... ![Kiss](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/kiss.gif) Highly unlikely. You can now send into and withdraw out Tips from your BTER Tips wallet, an action that was blocked previously. Tips is trending on BTER and it looks like a long upward move possibly past the highs of last year (.00000910)ltc I think its best to treat these two tips blockchains as two separate opportunities. Buying in early at Nova could reap big rewards in a year or so. Ok, totally confused. I have original (2014) TIPS and a fully synced Wallet. Which exchanges support this version? Is this the "accepted" version that will, hopefully, increase in value? Is this the version on Bter? We have updated the OP with an FAQ some time ago, I think it might answer most of the questions regarding on which blockchain your TIPS exist. TL;DR: If you use the old wallet, Bter is your exchange. Ok. I thought I had updated and that is correct, I'm on the version 2.0.0 wallet. So, according to the OP that make me current and on the correct chain I believe? So many coins, so little time! ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) If you updated, you are on the new chain and Novaexchange is the place for you. There is a twist for all that updated: All coins you had before the fork occured can be spent on both chains. So if you setup the old wallet in a different dir with your original wallet.dat and let it sync, you can spend your old TIPS on Bter without having them spent on the new chain.

which pool is all the hashrate coming from? IMHO, hash 2 coins is the best multipool for EAC. Just click on the link from my signature and try it out. Thanks in advance for supporting our pool. Also, is it possible to get the EAC listed on a second exchange? BTC38 is not enough. have you guys tried contacting novaexchange? i see it on voting list on cryptopia. I have added it to Cryptopia voting list and am voting more or less daily paid and free, but there are not enough fellow Earthcoiners to get it listed yet.

Likewise my one recommendation would be to put a 30 amp automotive fuse in line to each Titan from that big supply. That way if a Titan shorts a capacitor it will blow the fuse before catching fire.
Actually a super idea would be to put a 10 amp fuse on each one of the three lines that feed each titan's PCI plug. That way if a plug line went bad the other two fuses would blow, saving the titan from the ground fault fail.
that's a pretty good idea, one of the y connector resellers should jump on that with 3 inline fuses on each connector -- I just ordered some more Y-connectors, maybe I'll give it a try May I ask you for a recommendation on where to buy good Y-connectors ? The ones I found are too thin (AWG18), I think the original ones were AWG16. TIA

Hi there C.A.T. users.
Any one running C.A.T. on a Windows or Linux VPS with RDP/RDC or VNC that you would recommend?
Works nice here in a KVM VPS with Ubuntu 14.04 and accessed via VNC.
