1261  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you consider to be a long term investment. on: March 13, 2016, 05:41:21 PM
Long term is around 2-5 years. Depending on the asset you are investing in.
For bitcoin 2 years is a long time. For stocks 4 years is a good time to consider selling or re-buying.
In the end it really depends on the asset.

In the world of bitcoin the time is different indeed.
For me even 1 year is very long when it comes to bitcoin, simply because a lot of things can happen in 1 year.
However i consider a normal period of 5 years long term.
1262  Other / Off-topic / Re: Earning a living with bitcoin? on: March 13, 2016, 05:38:52 PM
You can basically ride bus 2 times with $1 in my country.
So it really is a thing to live with btc but you need to invest much more.

Yes for the eastern countries it's very much possible to live out of bitcoin. It's relatively easy to earn 1 BTC per month. And in those countries
you can lead a normal life by earning 1 bitcon per month. In the US 1 Bitcon will not even bring your halfway throughout the month.
1263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is their any safe methods to gamble? on: March 13, 2016, 05:35:12 PM
Play against other humans, not against the house

Learn who you can beat, and who will beat you

Play games where you can have an advantage, not a disadvantage

Play where the rake is low

Play with only a fraction of your bankroll at a time

Don't park your money permanently at a gambling site, maintain control of it

Never gamble with money that you can't afford to lose

Keep records of what happened at every gambling session, be honest with yourself, and learn from your mistakes

Don't play when you are exhausted, sick, or depressed

Those are pretty nice advices. Basically if you follow all of them strictly your gambling will be a safe one to an extent.

The biggest problem though is that sometimes a gambler 100% sure that he plays a game where he has an advantage but in reality he is just fooled by his opponent.

agree. it's an unclear advice so it's should be listed at the very end, not on top 3. adjust more around this list to build up a completed guide.
everything is clear enough for me, you just need to have some general understanding in gambling and maths in order to avoid being fooled by others

i think if i followed this all the time i could end up in big profits in the future, though everything can happen in gambling

There still is no guarantee you will make profit. Safely gambling doesn't mean you will make enough to cut your losses.
I would not reckon to invest a lot in your gambling career, you will be out of funds in no time.

Since there is no real safe way to gamble.
1264  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Bitcoin always be dependent on fiat? Is it? on: March 13, 2016, 05:31:11 PM
i think once bitcoin has some sort of main stream adoption it will get alot more attention and merchants will be alot more interested in accepting it as a form of payment.   Grin
it looks very beautiful but to reach into mainstream bitcoin takes effort. bitcoin we should be able to spread throughout the entire world, so bitcoin become mainstream

Even if bitcoin gets on mainstream fiat will still continue to enjoy its existence as there would be many people who will use only fiat and not bitcoins, so both will be widely used in future.

Well the bitcoin if gets mainstream it will be used for us,the rest that doesnt have bitcoin will keep with fiat, the question isnt that ,bitcoin will be always an investment option besides all the advantages against the current fiat system, but in the end we will always be dependent of it,because its an investment currency allowing anyone to make a fortune from it ,but in the end no one will risk all the life into bitcoins as their value may drop ,soo people will use bitcoin and play with it but will convert a part of it into fiat.

Even if bitcoin goes mainstream there still will be the need for fiat to convert it. One of the advantages of bitcoin is the fee.
If you go with a btc creditcard you still will need to pay for the high fees.
1265  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin halving how will it affect price? on: March 13, 2016, 05:28:38 PM
Halving may actually lower the price, and even make some real damage. If price does not go up, mining power may decrease. This will lead to longer time between blocks since it takes a long time to adjust. Longer time between blocks means lower capacity on the network, which in turn might lead to large backlogs being formed, especially if somebody spams it again. That's not what bitcoin needs in a time with some strong emerging competition.

it's clear that the halving will lower the price, that's why you need an greater demand to face it, without this not only the miners will not have their profit, but the network will be insecure

How is this clear. If the prices goes from 400 to 250 it would not make any sense to mine. Even for the large mining farms.
With other words mining has become futile and the network won't be secure anymore.

1266  Economy / Services / Re: i can create and verify your online accounts on: March 13, 2016, 05:25:24 PM
ok, i understand this service, but when i'll need to whitdraw there's no problem? If i need it in my bank account but the account is registered whit other name i see it hard
its depends on service providers terms and condition.and only i offer for those who use e-wallets for deposit and withdraw.its true you can't withdraw to your bank account ,but you can withdraw to any online payment processor if allowed.

What i don't understand is why you would put yourself in harms way. If someone conducts something illegal you will have to do a lot of explaining.
Which makes me wondering about your fee. How much would you charge for an average website verification?
1267  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to trade alt or btc? on: March 13, 2016, 05:21:07 PM
Yobit is good, for volume bittrex and poloniex seem best, I also have used bleutrade and cryptopia to trade once in awhile with good results.

i used all of the above exchangers and i have to say bittrex is the best. but that is just a matter of my preference.
Yobit lists almost any coin, many of them can be scam coins. a lot of them doesn't have any daily volume.
poloneix has the highest volume but it will require personal information for using their site.
bleutrade is a good exchanger with a good API but the volume is not high enough.
cryptopia is also good like bleutrade and low volume but there is this interesting option to trade altcoins with other altcoins instead of btc like trading ltc,doge,ftc,uno,dot,...

I would go for bittrex too. I got money on bleutrade too (They do seem a nice exchange) but I would not consider putting more then .5 BTC there.
Same applies for c-cex and hitbtc. Stay with the big boys and you are safe.
1268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any advantages from gambling? on: March 13, 2016, 05:17:15 PM
Well if you are just want to kill time you can try a faucet and actually earn some money.
For me there are no real advantages of gambling. Since the obvious ones (profit)  are not real advantages since you probably end up losing.

playing with faucet amount is really boring. it is just too little to get anywhere. of course if you are super lucky and win on a 999x game then it is worth it but other than that it is just too small to get anywhere from faucet.
gambling's advantages is fun and you can get a lot of money in short time
but faucet prefer you a safer way than gambling to earn money
with faucet you will not earn enough money to be able to withdraw it as faucets are created just to try the game out

i think it can give you money though you need to be extremely lucky and it will most probably not happen as casinos have house edges

True faucets will earn you nothing. If you want to earn or make profit make sure to get into trading coins.
But by no way go for gambling. There are no advantages, not even the fun element when you consider the down elements of gambling.
1269  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I want to start trading on: March 13, 2016, 05:14:05 PM
@stiffbud Trading can be risky so you need to study the market, the bitcoin / altcoin movement.Just roam in this forum especially those topic on trading as this can help you on your decisions. Just always remember the basic in trading BUY LOW,SELL HIGH.

before you start trading altcoin, you must know the risk of altcoin can be 1000% higher than bitcoin trading risk. sometimes you get profit in altcoin, but you lose at value of bitcoin.

Shane has a point here since bitcoin is also fluctuating. Just trade known altcoins, but base on hype and speculation.

LOl altcoins got 20 times more fluctuations and can be considered very very risk. This also applies for the top 10 altcoins.
If you want to learn or start trade i would recommend to start with fictive money and try to analyze the markets.
1270  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still keep a fiat retirement account? on: March 13, 2016, 05:10:01 PM
Offcourse i got a fiat account. Betting on 1 horse is very dangerous/stupid. I would never do that.
Sure bitcoin will rule the world but if it fails then i got a backup plan.
1271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you consider trading as gambling? on: March 11, 2016, 03:23:46 PM
Yup. From my perspective, trading bitcoin or alts can be considered as gambling. When i trade i am researching coins same as some sports gambler research football teams. In both cases it is gamble if you dont have some reliable insider info.

If your planning for quick profits from trading means by day trading than trading is almost equal to gambling. But if you just buy coins and keep it for price appreciation than it is not gambling because in gambling you will lose all your money in one shot but in long term trading you will get a chance to take out some portion of your money or you can make some decent profits.

I feel like if you are just buying coins to holding for long term that is more investing.  Its just then you will have good investors and bad investors.  End of the day you can make a case for all these words to be used in whatever context.  You cant really live life without gambling even by breathing you hope to get air and by crossing the street you hope to not get run over.  Both outcomes aren't 100% certain.
Trading is much better than gambling. You can earn more money with trading than with gambling.
With gambling there is a high chance that you only lose some money and that is not good. I hope that more people will realize.
1272  Economy / Speculation / Re: why I bought on: March 11, 2016, 03:19:28 PM
Buying bitcoin at this price is really good. The price is increasing slowly. According to most spectaculars it describes that the increase will continue, so buying is profitable.
according to most speculators? i guess these people are just the ones who wildly speculate about all the prices

in my opinion there is a chance thatt he price will go up, but people might just start dumping coins at any time and go to other crypto such as ethereum

no matter how much ETH lovers and bag-holders insist this is never going to happen. all the price reductions that we saw lately was just a simple movement in the market to pump ETH and earn more bitcoin.
Its good that you have bought it. So you can make some later more money and that is very good.
We all hope that the price will rise for a long time and that we can have some profit later in the future.
1273  Economy / Economics / Re: If bitcoin price is $10.000, will fiat be worthless? on: March 11, 2016, 03:16:37 PM
yes of course it will be worthless...as i btc can earn many more if you use it in the right way!!
i think fiat will be not worthless. The price is too high for the currency

Fiat will always rule the world even if the price of bitcoin reaches the moon fiat will continue to show its power as the users of fiat are more and it will keep on increasing in near future too.
nope. I think a price of $ 10k per bitcoin. it will be very high. we would not think that fiat still exists or not. of course there is a very crazy thing will happen to the fiat that bitcoin prices can rise very high. with a price like that. bitcoin will certainly make all of the country's currency. become worthless

Its is not possible to reach the 10.000. Or there just have to be luck or something and it will takes a long time and that is bad.
If the value is going to rise. It takes a long time and it can also stop rising, so you never know what the value will be.
1274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Dollar on: March 11, 2016, 03:12:36 PM
People that use Bitcoin like Bitcoin only. And people that use Dollar are going to try out Bitcoin and that is very good.
I hope that more people will use Bitcoin more in the future and that it will be have a higher value.
1275  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it possible to buy bitcoins by paypal? on: March 11, 2016, 03:08:53 PM
It is possible I think. But you must watch out for scams. That is very important and you need to be careful.
If you are not careful than you can lose money and that will be not good for you. I hope that you can do it safely.
1276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling should be considered as a Sickness!! on: March 11, 2016, 03:04:45 PM
i don't think so.
a car is a dangerous vehicle if you drive it madly and hit a brick wall at top speed, should cars be banned too?

gambling is the same, it is just a game that you can use to have fun while taking risks. the fact that some people get addicted and lose a lot of money while having an illusion of getting rich doesn't change any facts.

I agree a lot with this post , there are many dangerous things in this world but it makes no sense to consider gambling as a sickness
actually gambling is a main part of many economies
in my opinion everyone should have a choice , you can choose if you want to gamble or not but you can't force others to do the same thing
for me gambling is good so far , I'm making some money and passing time
Its not sickness. Gambling is just addicting and that is very bad. I hope that more people will realize that gambling is very bad to do.
And that they must stop it and that they must now that it is all wasted money and that is not good.
1277  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price rise is over on: March 11, 2016, 03:01:24 PM
price rise is not over until there is a big rise in price.

and that has not yet happened yet. i think it is going to happen in a couple of months and it is going to be big!

At a moment price is stable, but we can expect price rise at the time of halving, so we should not stop believing that price will not rise in future, it will rise in next couple of months.
The price rise has indeed stopped for a while. And that is very bad. But it will rise soon and that is very good.
The halving is also coming so that is perfect. but the bad thing is that you never know what will happen.
1278  Economy / Speculation / Re: Oops Price is 425$ Now... on: March 11, 2016, 02:57:02 PM
We all hope that it will be more worth later in  the future. And that will be so good for people who has already made an investment.
They will have some good profit than and they will have a lot of money. But it will rise slowly so it need time.
1279  Other / Off-topic / Re: In 20 years, what would you like to do with your bitcoin? on: March 11, 2016, 02:53:54 PM
I really dont know what to do with Bitcoin, and that also depends on the value and that is really important.
Maybe sell it or maybe buy it you never know, and I hope that Bitcoin will be more acceptable also.
1280  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What would you like to buy? on: March 11, 2016, 09:49:52 AM
- E-Cigarettes (will require customer to provide valid ID)
- Lighters (will require customer to provide valid ID)
- Smoking Accessories (will require customer to provide valid ID)
If anyone needs my ID to buy something then the person should not do any type of business with bitcoins or unless he learns to respect anonymity concerns of the customers.

Secondly ,I could simply wear a mask and buy all the above and most likely no one is going to split hairs for that.Cigarettes & lighters can easily be bought without reveling your identity then why the heck someone would want to know it online ?
I hope that I can buy everything later with Bitcoin and that will pretty good. That more stores must accept Bitcoin.
Than people can see that Bitcoin is many used and maybe they are also going to use it and that will be good.
