let them add monero. and lets see how their customers use command line to send money. i think there are not much bettor with advanced computer skills  Grin

You don't even know how well educated Monero users are. It's like the elite side of Bitcoin community.

Sounds like the perfect target group for a gambling site: Intelligent, well educated and technically sophisticated.

.... oh wait.

Children do not gamble on sports. Wink

Better stop the twitter campaign to 0.9.2b stable and Bter withdrawal back.
Each new user to download and does not work does not return.
Release stable client and stay with it and then work in background about other features. Releasing new client every day is not a way to go.

W0w Mr. Obvious with a touch of FUD. Nice was deciding where you were on this coin.
12623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: November 18, 2014, 07:09:55 PM
I think dark market arrests are good for Monero.  Ideally, I would like to see someone arrested on the basis of unwinding DRK xns.  Any volunteers?

I'm sure the NSA already can.

With Amazon cooperation, that is indeed trivial to do.

Amazon doesn't run nearly enough masternodes.

Add other US based VPS services then. The anonymity relies on you saying "it's still not enough", it's a hell of a weak one.

You are correct. Darkcoin needs to educate its masternode owners about the importance of using independent service providers. I also heard that consumer connections are getting faster, so running one at home isn't out of a question. Right now, in the beginning, people are just using options that are most convenient to them. If the price (and therefor the reward of running one) gets high enough, I'll be running mine on my own datacenter. Cheesy

Another worry for DC Nodes. http://thehackernews.com/search/label/hacking%20news Basically anything(well most methods) that can attack tor can attack any node system.

what??? TaunSew said "node is a very good buy"? that's not possible, it's not you! your account were hacked or you are ill perhaps... Grin

It is a trick so later when he starts the fud again people believe he's a supporter. These fudders do this cycle over and over and the newbs don't know what to believe.

Older version of NODE is also not working?

Been working all day for me on

Why are non fud posts being deleted? Are you guys trying to drive people away?

What non fud post was deleted?
Are being deleted only fud posts or that are quoting fud posts

The one I pointed out to one guy that he is running around with blinders on that is not advantageous and that his use of the English language is sub-par.

I would like to point out that if Monero's competitors had had to withstand the attacks that have weathered that those coins would not still be standing. That is the main reason I believe in this coin. Those other coin holders should count themselves lucky that Monero DEVS a reactive as opposed to proactive. Wink

let's not forget this very cool video made by a supporter

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUN4K72cv10&feature=youtu.be

Very good video i like it Smiley XST have lot of potential  Kiss it's just a bad days for XST not more than that.

im agree thats good video and xst have a good pontential but why xst price down ?

You don`t know why the price is down? Here is why:

Many XST adopters used to complain that 14k satoshi was too high price for them and that they could not afford that price. So we decided to make a special offer to all these people: we reduced the price to 2k satoshi till the end of the year. Remember that this offer last only till the end of 2014. After the new year the price will never stop to rise, so take advantage of this special offer !!!  Cheesy

Smiley Good one!

Be aware of the Willy/Wally Bot!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=830942.msg9479238#msg9479238

Quote
Where’s Wally?

During the recent sell-off of the alts, questions were raised about why BTCD prices were dropping so much despite the tech being developed. This was partly due to one of the original large holders from the mining stage cashing out their stake. Since then, a bot has been detected, manipulating the BTCD market. This bot is active on many different alts, but since BTCD is comparatively thinly-traded, it has had a greater effect. James writes:

###
There is a bot that is ACTIVELY manipulating the price, quite effectively too. If you look at the price on bitcoinwisdom, you will see that there is a pretty even spread of asks all bunched together, within 10 satoshis!

About 5 BTC. This makes a barrier and also crowds out the orderbook so you can’t see what is really going on. It is also changing things several times per second to create the impression of a lot of activity. What it does is pushes the price down by clearing out small bids and making lower and lower asks.

Earlier there was about 10 BTC in 30+ orders around .0049 and 3 BTC between that and .008

So, there is no investor panic going on. It is just one guy running a bot. And he is doing this on many different coins.

His game is this.

Have the bot on bittrex and cryptsy, but run just one of them at a time. Create some FUD, push the price down on one (easier to create fear, especially in a bear market), then as people get convinced everybody is selling, they start selling. Remember this is just happening on one market. So soon the sell price on one exchange is lower than the buy price on the other exchange where the bot is idle. Guaranteed profits! Then the bots switch.

So first one exchange price is pushed down, arbitraged, then the other. Doing this it creates these mysterious price declines as we are making such good progress. All the way down to .005! But there was really very little for sale below .008 as this operation is being done on dozens of coins, so only so much budget per coin.

Now this bot is not caring about price at all. Whatever the price is, it just picks the exchange with the lower price, pushes it down until it can arbitrage. The arbitraging evens the price out and then the pushing starts again. Now this bot stays away from even a 1 BTC wall from what I have seen and certainly anything larger it stays about 10% away from. However if there is no big wall, it happily starts pushing the price down, even filling some orders if they are small enough.

These bots are probably on autopilot, so that means a clever person will be able to trick the bot.

Please explain how this bot can have any effect on node whatsoever?

Darkcoin - How do you vote? Do you need to have a certain number of posts?

Poll is closed to sock puppets.

Darkcoin uses the exact same Bitcoin API and Bitcoin code base, so if I am deciding on a coin to add to my service right now, I would definitely add Darkcoin over Monero.  Just because Monero uses a completely different codebase (Cryptonote) that hasn't endured the test of time yet and there are some basics things missing like an official GUI wallet. So if you are offering a service that is focused on the public at large, people are probably going to find having to use a CLI to be an obstacle for adoption.  This is why I dont consider Monero a direct competitor for Darkcoin and wish the project the best,  but they still have a long way to go and are definitely not ready for wider adoption yet. I think that also shows on the market cap  DRK market cap is approx. 5x that of XMR

Darkcoin's privacy is obfuscation based, unlike Monero's zero-knowledge ring signatures.

In the latest TOR attack, which took down 400+ dark sites, we've seen how vulnerable the obfuscation approach is to Sybil attacks.

Darkcoin code is only released sometime after an update, but Monero is truly 100% open.

Not to mention the Adult (I.E. Gamblers) are more on the Monero side. Wink

And If you have Patriots games you'll see my Monero every week. Of course you will be paying me. Cheesy

The devs are doing what they can to be in the middle of December, but I think that can happen a little delay. Maybe that's why they are avoiding giving a certain date.
You can talk directly with Hondo on slack group, just send pm for Koontas with an email https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=168515
As you can see, the answer to my request for new blockchain was very fast there

Thx, but I won't use Slack as it requires javascript.

You sure about that? I do not have java enabled on my mac

Yes, I'm sure. Javascript and Java are not the same thing. Allowing Javascript to run is equivalent to running around prison with your pants down around your ankles. Wink
