@Sorry but Dallas lost against Knicks.
No need to be sorry I didn't bet on them to win and my pick was on the NY Knicks to cover by 5pts.

My gut pick for today is the Cavaliers -1 vs Timberwolves. Cavaliers are slightly struggling this past few matches and only won 2 in their last 5. Timberwolves are on a win streak at home but they're against teams that are not that strong like the Cavaliers. I expect the match to go either way but i'm more confident with the Cavs since they're better at covering matches on the road.
Good to know that you didn't bet for that match and with your pick well sorry again that they've lost to Timberwolves. That's a big score difference though, Cavs do really struggle on these times. I don't know what's happening to them but they are still on #3 rankings for the whole season and today Raptors did won, so congratulations to those who did picked them.
The cavaliers will be able to figure out their lapses and they will be back on track soon, of course there are some major adjustment needed
and that will affect the way they play but they were champion once so I believe if they will be in the playoffs it's a different games and of course the cavaliers will easily dominate the east.
They will be back or not they are still good in terms of standings and today they will be playing against Toronto Raptors. This match up is very challenging to them, it will be a fight against rank 2 and rank 3. And who'll ever win on this will surely become a crowd favorite. I won't bet on this game, I just want to see how this game will be intense in terms of game plays.
12642  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin going to $400 on: January 11, 2018, 04:20:11 PM
Giant ponzis do not run for more than 10 years.
Don't make me laugh, are you pointing this out to bitcoin? Do you know what's the meaning of ponzi and the difference of it to bitcoin?

At $600,000,000,000 invested in Bitcoin the money supply has dried up. Bitcoin has crashed from $20,000 to $12,000
So what if bitcoin crashed from $20,000 down to $12,000? It's just like the past that it went up somewhere at $1,100/$1,300 and it went down at $200.

and high profile people calling Bitcoin a giant scam there is ever increasing risk of international police raiding Bitcoin mines
LOL, high profile? They are really playing around the market, none of them called it legit because they are scared that people will jumped off to this dust gold.
12643  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin $500,000 by 2020 on: January 09, 2018, 02:39:04 PM
I don't really think that bitcoin will make it to 500k in 2020, it first needs to rebound back to a support level and then it will be able to grow again.
If you don't think that bitcoin will make at $500,000 on 2020 then you are not the only who thinks this but we can't also speculate that it's impossible to happen. There are speculations before that doesn't even bother to predict that on 2017 bitcoin will reach $5,000 or $10,000 or even $15,000 - $19,000 but it did happened so if there will be surprises for this year we might see some good signs.

12645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin gambling is legal? on: January 09, 2018, 01:09:54 PM
Offline gambling like casino is legal though, many countries have casinos and most of them are legal. I don't know about bitcoin gambling but i think it's illegal but some bitcoin gambling have license though, i don't know is having license makes the gambling site become legal or not.
In offline gambling what do you mean by that? There's no guarantee that it's legal when you're living in a country that they prohibit gambling. The answer if bitcoin gambling is legal is it all depends on the country that you are living. Whether those casino's are licensed but if someone will have an access to a country that ban or prohibit online gambling then the answer might be obvious.
12646  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin price prediction on: January 09, 2018, 12:38:29 PM
it will go up and down in jan?
Yes it will go up and down again this month.

I saw a news message somewhere that the bitcoin price is expected to go up starting jan 15th, as this is the date that the wallstreet hotshots are getting their bonuses of an average of $100K+.
What source it came from? Its good if you'll give the link of the source for that news. Before these Wall Street people are against to bitcoin but there's a sudden change of heart that they are now getting interested to bitcoin and getting in while it's early.
12647  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is BTC fluctuating SO MUCH? on: January 08, 2018, 12:03:07 PM
Are you seriously comparing fiat volatility to bitcoin volatility? Lol. They're incomparable. It's mountain vs. molehill.
It's also like comparing oranges to apples.  Grin

Bitcoin has been moving like this even before, years ago when you'll check out the charts and how much bitcoin is way back 3-5 years ago. And there is almost the same movement from those charts to the current one that we are with.
12648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do we need to gamble? on: January 08, 2018, 11:42:40 AM
Because they think that gambling is the easiest way to earn money.

i really agree with this. People think gambling is easy to do and easy to earn money too, that's why many people trapped in gambling. When you lose so much money on gambling you will keep gambling, because you think you can winning back your loses.
Many are thinking that gambling will be the solution for their money problems and there's nothing to say about those gamblers. I have been on that stage that I'm thinking all day long that I only need to win and money will come to my balance and I don't have to work on my day job. I've been trapped on that way of thinking for few years and I realized it that when I don't have money anymore I have to work again and do the same routine.
12649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: January 08, 2018, 11:13:35 AM
Golden State Warriors will make it to the NBA Finals easily Wink
Better quesiton is Will OKC even arrive to Western Semi Finals to fight with Warriors? Wink
Most of us here are saying that Golden State Warriors will lead and is the one that will be back at the finals. I want to see OKC too as they are a very stable team and I like on how they manage to as one of the good team and to be real, I'm a fan of Russell Westbrook and we can't stop people that are admiring him.
Can't argue with that. For OKC it's hard to say if they'll make it to the semis because there are two teams that they could face in the playoffs either Spurs or Twolves and both teams can take them out. Also the season is not yet over there still a chance that they could to the 8th seed  since the losses of the teams behind them are so close.

My pick of the day is Knicks +5. I still think Dallas could win but it's not by more than 5 pts if we look at their home matches few days ago they either lose or win less than 5.
Well OKC is one of the teams that can be seen to be playing good at the semi's but well yes it's too early to speculate things although there is the ranking system where we can see on whom going to be one of most close teams that can play during the semis / quarter finals.

@Sorry but Dallas lost against Knicks.
12650  Economy / Speculation / Re: NO ONE CAN STOP BITCOIN IN LONG TERM. on: January 08, 2018, 10:43:48 AM
Bitcoin is the greatest coin that we can have for long term holding and I don't have anything against with what you are saying but with your speculation that it will become $70,000 for this year. That's another price that's quite high in my view where it's hardly pumping and breaking through to $20,000 at the end of the year although it was few days/weeks needed to get back to it and now it's struggling at $15,000.
12651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To Gamble or To Invest? on: January 08, 2018, 10:02:52 AM
Invest bro.
For quick $, go to an ICO.

Ez money ez life lool
Be careful and don't be too comfortable with those ICO's sometimes there are troubles and problem that are occurring during their crowdsale. But I know that many of them are successfully funded by the community, investing will be the majority choice of everyone here and to the fact that we all knew it that how investing works and how we can more with it, that's realistic return to join ICO's, the legit ones.

Most of them are scams and they just disappear and abandon the project after the end of the ICO so you ought to invest wisely and carefully on the right ones. I have been a victim of some shitcoins in the past and wouldn't want any one to repeat my mistakes.
When the owners and developers are full already they would abandon the project and will leave those people who are still on their abandoned ship. Sorry for your loss but I guess most of us who are investing in trading and ICOs have been on that stage that we fall and committed some mistakes to those unworthy investments that we used to see it as something extravagant and will become great one day but well in the end it turned out to be nothing.

2018, IMO, will be the year of non-minables vs minables.
How can you determine that it will be the year of non-mineables vs mineables?

[...]

I assume OP extrapolates from the fact that most of the coins that were recently pumped are centrally issued currencies. There's definitely a trend towards releasing tokens via centralized entities, but we have yet to see whether community acceptance and thus price will increase in the long term
I don't know why they are having such ideas like this even without giving some statement that can support with what they are thinking. Community's acceptance through this type of tokens are really making it's popularity as most of us just want to earn, pump and dump. And yes the trend about tokens released through centralized entities is becoming popular nowadays and investors doesn't know that they are supporting it, thinking the way I said before about earning.

12655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to know if a gambling site is a scam or not? on: January 05, 2018, 09:20:39 AM
Honestly, on my part its not easy to know if the gambling the site is a scam or not. Well, in that case I just research and gaining enough knowledge to know it. Also, I ask to my friends and those experts to know if the site is a scam which as I know as of this that the scammers are rampant in the social media.
You can use search engines to know if that casino is a scam or not. You can see reviews there and let yourself know and read the experience of other gamblers on that certain gambling site. Also here in forum we got gambling section where ANN thread's of different crypto gambling sites are established and you can read people's review there and comments on how that site is running.

That is correct, a quick google search of the site would reveal a lot of about the site and then you can decide whether the site you are looking at is worth playing on. But really, there is still a lot more than just googling the site, there is still a lot to do, like research whether their random number generation is provably fair or whether the operators are publicly listed so you know where to file a case just in case. Basically, you have to do your own due diligence before you even play on the casino.
Sometimes visiting their site as well as trying out to play on it even a short time can be a big help for us to determine it by our own experience, some sites were too laggy, others were too late on sending transaction, better google top 5 or top 3 best casino from this forum. And try one at a time, you'll probably notice what suits your interests first especially in terms on winning process.
That's the easiest way of looking for reviews if you are very skeptic about the casino you are gambling with. And I agree to both of you, we do have to try it out if the games itself are running well and as a gambler you will feel and know what it means to say if it's a scam or not. Those new gamblers that are literally new to bitcoin/crypto gambling will be having their hardship on determining which one is but in the end they'll know it as easy as picking one.

My major question is: Do you believe that the "new coins" (we all know exactly which these are) will take over the old coins?
The way most of the investors think now is instead of buying those popular and well known coins to be high valued they'll put it to a cheaper altcoin that has a good progress and potential. But still I believe in oldies but goodies, they will not take over the old coins. You are looking for the taking over of each coin in the market cap and we can't deny those new coins are doing it great but I don't consider that thing, I'm still with those remain to be the greatest and well known for their stability.

12657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin gambling is legal? on: January 05, 2018, 08:35:34 AM
I guess the only reason why illegal gambling is for religious reasons. The country implements some religious laws, and the diagama gambling is illegal, then gambling becomes illegal there. And many countries do not use religion as the basis of the law, so many also legalize gambling.

There are two things that I'm thinking why those countries are banning bitcoin gambling and making it as an illegal activity. First is that they are a country that doesn't support bitcoin or cryptocurrencies and treating it as illegal too so other things that are related to bitcoin will be ban and treated illegal as well. And the second one is with relation to the religious reasons, there are big countries that are depending on the majority's religion and they are respecting it.
Bitcoin is not a reason for banning gambling. We all know that before there is Bitcoin gambling remains illegal. When using Fiat gambling remains illegal, all things must be related to religion and belief. In addition I think gambling game has a lot of risk and a thing that is not useful, that's what underlies why gambling is something that is illegal and prohibited by many countries. We can do a lot more useful things than having to play gambling.
There are countries mate that are already banning bitcoin and in that case, as bitcoin is being banned then everything that will be related to it will be followed as well. Before there's nothing such as bitcoin gambling which is illegal, when bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies aren't well known and popular much there's no way to ban it and people just ignored everything that's related to it so before there is no bitcoin or bitcoin gambling ban but now that knowledge about it is being spread and there many things people can do to use it so regulations are coming.
12658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Gambler's way on: January 05, 2018, 08:19:33 AM
is gambling really about luck or can you beat the house using maths and probability?
Basically yes, when you are playing those games that are fully dedicated with luck then it's all about your luck but if you'll try to play those games that aren't only luck base but also includes some knowledge and analysis then it's not just all about luck. I don't know if that is possible to beat the house with those things but everyone will be answering here that it's a no. But if you'll try to search or google about other type of gambling which is lottery, a math teacher did won those lucky combinations.

12660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your reason to gamble? Fun or profit? on: January 04, 2018, 08:09:41 PM
I never treat gambling as a source of income
Neither I but it's fun to see myself when I gamble so that's inevitable to say that I'm gambling not only for fun but also for the profit. I check it out on who are the lucky people for this day and most of them are getting some decent way of making enough money on a daily basis. But I wouldn't try my luck the way they are doing, I know that I'm not that good in gambling or my luck is that fluctuating that much.
