12681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After getting your profits from ETH, what next? on: January 27, 2016, 12:54:23 AM
Ok, so you profited handsomely from ETH's recent rise.  What altcoin in Poloniex are you gonna trade to next?

Answering hypothetically: Nxt and Monero are both gaining traction. GEMZ is sneaking up, but on low volume. Bitshares is also poking up, but it's notorious for its falling-knife fakeouts.

Congrats on reaching Legendary status. Smiley

Yeah, NXT and XMR already started their trends.  While BTS and MAID are in the very early stages of a breakout.

Thanks, how does one acheive legendary anyway?  I was surprised to see it on my account.

12682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sky is falling. Increase to 1.337 MB needed. Consensus today, deploy tomorrow on: January 27, 2016, 12:42:32 AM
I think that Bitcoiners do not see how serious the situation is.

The recent Ethereum pump worries Satoshi Nakamoto. Satoshi is considering moving all his funds to Ethereum.
This is why we at the Bitcoin headquarters need to deploy the 1.337 MB upgrade immediately.

But before we do that, we need to do a slight bump to 1.31337 MB to test how the quadratic slow transaction.
If everything goes correctly and only some nodes crash, we can crash the remaining nodes with the full upgrade.

Major pools like the solo miners who don't mine at pool expressed full support. The central bankers agree as well.

Please sign this document with your full name and address so we can blackmail you if you decide to disagree with this proposal.

Thank you.

By Satoshi you mean Nick Szabo right?  Well everyone knows he's an avid supporter of Ethereum and he goes far as insinuating that it's the future.

Here's a talk he did at Ethereum Devcon 1.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Y3fWXA6d5k&list=PLJqWcTqh_zKHQUFX4IaVjWjfT2tbS4NVk&index=3
12683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Is Poloniex slow for anybody else? on: January 26, 2016, 12:40:46 PM
Or is it just me?  I feel like the whole site is so slow today...  Probably too much traffic?
12684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Doge coin is bad on: January 26, 2016, 11:52:24 AM
Look at that pump guys. Thats why you should always looking at charts instead of listening to butthurt plebs with a midlife crisis  Cool

Actually sold some of my holdings.  This is gonna get volatile as hell for my taste.

12686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After getting your profits from ETH, what next? on: January 26, 2016, 09:55:40 AM
You still don't get it do you?  The hype for ethereum is actually real. As in, it's our best hope.  And people who actually want crypto to succeed as an idea will get behind it.

Oh because it is our only hope, then we have to ignore the fact that after more than a year since they took and spent ICO money, they still haven't solved the most fundamental issue of the block chain technology required for long running scripts (if they want scaling and decentralization).

Put Vitalik in a live debate with me right now and I will be able to force him to admit that is the truth.

Or ban_the_truth so you can sucker more n00bs into being bagholders to the insiders can cash out.

Tptb want war, well, the entire time ive visited this forum he is either wasting everyones time with mental masturbation or simply stumbling from thread to thread FUDDing down every coin that would dare to challenge his "intellectual superiority".

Because you are not interested in actually solving the core technical challenges that inhibit cryptocurrency from scaling out to the masses and being compatible with marketing strategies that can do so, such as the one I will drop on the world.

All you want is something you can pump up. And you want it sooner than it is ready. And so thus you think I am not worthy, and you think the broken Ethereum is.

I never took $millions of ICO while I was researching and developing the solutions we need. Ethereum did and still didn't solve the most basic issue they need to.

Whereas I have solved the major fundamental issues. Sorry if the good stuff takes time. If you are in a rush, then feel free to give your money away to those who are willing to take it.

I appreciate that you're trying to get your argument out.  And you do have some points to think about.  But this is a time of less talk and more trades.  There's profit to be made in this current price run, which could be one of the largest runs we've seen in altcoins.
12687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum / Synereo Cooperation on: January 26, 2016, 06:10:35 AM
I wouldn't be surprised if they built a social network on top of Ethereum.

12690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Outlook and Price Prediction For 2016 - By Tai Zen & Leon Fu on: January 26, 2016, 04:19:55 AM
So... do you guys really think that Ethereum could be the next big altcoin and even be able to surpass bitcoin?

No way..

ETH is not even a currency, it is a token for the ethereum network.

That`s it! ETH is a token and not a currency.

Token has no real value.

Don't buy.
12691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Wallet on: January 26, 2016, 04:14:25 AM
The "geth -- fast" makes the full sync take 30 to 45 min

I would recommend it for a person who's using Linux.  Otherwise it could hard for a non-technical person using the command line.  But it's really not that hard with enough time and patience.
12692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Wallet on: January 26, 2016, 04:07:40 AM
It keep saying Ethereum node needs to sync, please wait...
I've been waiting for almost half an hour then click SKIP PEER SEARCH, nothing happen.
How can I get it to connect to nodes?

Keep waiting until your wallet is synced.  It might take a day or two if you have a slow connection.
12693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After getting your profits from ETH, what next? on: January 26, 2016, 04:05:21 AM
If I had taken profits from ether (I haven't) I'd 've looking at Monero.  Much better anonymity features than darkcoin, no premine and extremely heavy emission curve that's halved and getting smaller each day.

Or buy netflix now that they are about to ramp up producing their own entertainment and offering it in almost every country in the world.

Or maybe oil?

I disagree about this being a good time to buy Netflix. This is part of the reason:

http://seekingalpha.com/article/3825776-netflixs-vpn-blocking-significantly-reduce-international-growth

Aeon is not on Poloniex yet so it does not meet the criteria set by tokeweed. Monero is definitely a coin to watch from a development standpoint right now.

The reason I specifically asked for a coin listed in Poloniex is because it's where mostly ETH profits are and these profits might likely be traded again for another coin in the same exchange.  I could be wrong but it seems like a logical thing to do for a trader.
12694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After getting your profits from ETH, what next? on: January 26, 2016, 03:42:04 AM
not enough
but really

1 brand
2 tech
3 utility
4 web resources
5 [your varible] polo

A daily trading volume of .497 BTC is non-existent for my taste.  To each his own, I guess.  Good luck.

Stay away from POT.

Already a rumour; but, no links? Sounds like a total fabrication then. Your group is wise not to take it seriously.

As I said, we are taking it with a grain of salt.  It was hearsay from one Chinese member.  I just thought it might be interesting to find out what the people on these boards would think.  If it was plausible or not...
12699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After getting your profits from ETH, what next? on: January 26, 2016, 03:18:06 AM

Your private group started this rumour?

Nope, it was casually talked about, because there was already a rumor.  We didn't start it and we are taking it with a grain of salt.  I started this thread to see how the people here would take it.  And if you think it could be plausible or not.
