I fucking hate this thread. What a vicious, shitty little community.
It's been non stop trolls here from butthurt cloak fanboys. They do it on purpose to drive wussies like you out. Most of them are from monero and drk and vrc.. not cloak.. cloak bagholders have woken up and are buying this coin. I've been a big fan of XC for quite some time, but I've started buying some XST lately. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=630547.msg8827529#msg8827529Funny, I've been watching this coin to pick up some when your done bleeding it out bob. But I see your back trying to squeeze a few more drops and pointing the finger at coins you are trolling. You are truly one of a kind. I think this community is aware of you now and won't fall for your tricks again.

fuck you. he threating the coin and indirectly everyone that invested on it, if you want to suck his dick go ahead, you look more pathetic than him now.
no one is asking you to support XMR, you are in because you want. I really am 100% unable to tell if you are a troll or a shill.... My guess is behind door number 3 -child. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

All this has done so far is bring more attention to the coin and if indeed there is no way to attack it then the value has increased. Which leads the question, Was this the desired result in the first place?

You didn't show me any stats. Please show me independently verifiable stats.
I don't need to. You say that PoS is controlled, you show the stats and the proof that it's controlled. We've all seen the stats for Bitcoin when Ghash had it owned, that's been proven. I said no such thing Mr Strawman. Please reread my posts. This is not a strawman, do you even know what one is? <<-- This could be considered Ad-hominem.

When are fees going to be lowered? I was going to move my stake (596k) to a more secure pass phrase but 2k fee is outrageous! that means I can only make under 300 transactions that size and it is used up. WTF

Yawn.. this isn't nearly as entertaining as I thought it would be.
Is Monero being attacked or not? If someone is performing a TW attack is there any way to tell?
From my experience with time warps attacks it takes a couple of days before the symptoms start to occur, but when they do....the chaos is sweet. ~BCX~ You said 4 hours 3 hours and 45 min ago. Put up or shut up . http://itsalmo.st/#bcxmoneroattack

Suddenly a large amount of threads are in my watchlist that do not have new posts in them?

Yes - characters from the epic musical The Rocky Horror Picture Show would be appearing on your computer screen. Proof: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sg-vgGuTD8AA toast!

if it suffers from any kind of attack, you'll won't be seeing BTCs move to an altcoin anytime soon ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Well for once I have to agree with you. If XMR fail I doubt I'll touch any other altcoin and stay on BTC to stay (relatively) safe. XMR was objectively one of the best and probably the most honest crypto-development I've seen. If it's taken down by pure malice then to me any interesting/fair altcoin (like idk, BBR) is doomed to be taken down the same way by the mafias that reign on this ecosystem. Whoever want me (and many bitcoiners that bought an altcoin for the first time with XMR) to buy another coin because XMR is "dead" might be disappointed by the outcome. I spoke that for myself, I do and I hold what I say but I know its true for other people as well because of the bold ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I was thinking along the same lines. I never had any interest in investing in alt-coins before XMR, and it will be a long time before I would consider another alt-coin investment if XMR fails owing to Bytecoin/CN psy-ops and BCX cyber-terrorism. Don't forget that ALL Crypto-Coins HAVE to be able to withstand attack. Although I'm not a fan of the way it's going down. But these things happen and XMR will come out stronger in the end or it will die before costing the Devs more of their precious time. there are 2 sides to each coin.

Hi! Just a friendly member of the Stealthcoin community dropping by to tell you that the Bitcointalk user known as "Stealthcoin" is not associated in anyway with Stealthcoin or it's development. I've seen many Monero supporters lash out at Stealthcoin because of this users actions. User: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=209332Competition for anonymous coins is good. It means better quality, more competitive and more people promoting privacy oriented software and trade! Good luck to Monero! Once again, the user "Stealthcoin" is not associated in any way with the crypto currency known as Stealthcoin! Thx. So what are you guys going to do now that Monero is worthless and Poloniex shut down?
Put you on ignore?

BCX why not attack moneroman88 instead of XMR? No I'm serious. Couldn't you make his head explode or something if you inject enough hash-power? I'm confident we can easily figure out how to brute-force his head. There must be so many flaws there it shouldn't be too hard finding a plug and then...unleash the flow... making his brain crash, rollbacked to infancy, forked to complete memory-loop, or even maybe steal his soul with a spirit-killer algorithm.
That would be something. There, for real, you would be a hero. XMR is not a proper prize.
I would 51% his brain but it is a null block chain! ~BCX~ BCX why not attack moneroman88 instead of XMR? No I'm serious. OMG ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) This thread reads like a script from a Mexican soap opera on meth ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) "yo mama is a hooooa!!" "wuut??? I saw you having sex with sheep!!" Isn't this whole story supposed to be about currency, technology and shit like that? Makes Monero look bad, IMO There's nothing Monero can do about an unmoderated thread, so... your argument is invalid. Opinions are never invalid so you point is by definition invalid. ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) only 12 minutes until nothing happens!!!

MEW - Monero Economy Workgroup communication
This has been a busy day. The taskforce of crypto_zoidberg, AnonyMint, jl777 and some Monero developers and MEW members has diligently worked on the code and is implementing fixes to possible exploits that might give the attacker the upper hand. The code is evaluated so that we can say with certainty that no coinkiller exploit can be used against us, and this makes me thankful for the original coders of CryptoNote. It is too often forgotten that without this unique technology there would be no Monero that has taken the torch, determined to carry it beyond the current limits of cryptoworld.
I must point out the irony in this post. The first 3 people you mention that helped you with the code are all supporters/developers of BBR. Who's carrying the torch here exactly? BBR obviously! Here let me fix it for you: The BBR-Is-The-Best taskforce of crypto_zoidberg, AnonyMint, jl777, with expert community management guidance of windjc, plus nobody of any particular talent or value from XMR (well that's obvious since there isn't anybody)....
Okay now we have all of you guys in there, and worded just the way you like! Have a great day sir. ROTFLMFAO!

Your Boy making you guys look bad again. Just think what he's going to do to this coin if people follow him. I am not here to bash or so, I just want to know if the exploit is real or not because i can't follow it anymore. If not then is perfect buying time.
Cheers
Right now it's indeterminable. There have been no specifics given to us, and given the contradictory and nonsensical nature of the breadcrumbs we're leaning towards it not being real until demonstrated otherwise or given technical details we can follow. Way to show some confidence in your coin! Don't you get it? XMR will always have this dark cloud over it. Just like VRC, just like DRK and just like Cloak. There is no coming back from this one. Stealthcoin is the true anon winner these days and I'll be putting my btc there. Now just admit that in one day and a few hours XMR can implode and all that money would be lost forever. I mean, you do realize that if BCX can steal coins then the exchanges will be forced to shut down trading while leaving anyone with xmr in their wallet out 100%. I've got my popcorn ready! http://itsalmo.st/#timetokillxmrI aint making anyone look bad except you and the rest of the Monero bagholders... Hey bud... How much you down today? I'm up about 10%! Yeah, portfolio is looking great, join us. I'm not down a penny. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I have no XMR but am using this as a buy opportunity. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Unfortunately the price is rising where I thought I could wait and get it cheaper so I still havn't bought. Hopefully there will be a big dump right before the "ATTACK" and I can score. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) 30-32 while i slept. ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) 40+ in a week again. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) So after this you guys gotta tell me where you bought in at. PM is fine. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

For the record, I've stated something upthread that I shouldn't have, but I can't rectify it without making the dominoes cascade more, so note I will have something to clarify later after this BCX affair is long done.
This? Whether BCX publishes the known spenders of rings or not is irrelevant, because it can be calculated by anyone at any time in the future.
He (or anyone) can't publish known spenders because of stealth addresses. All addresses on the blockchain are one-time-use, so there is nothing on the blockchain to link your transactions with each other so as to create a virtual "identity." In effect this is a potential compromise to "untracability" in cryptonote, which would allow some transactions to link with with each other, but not "unlinkability". How successful that is depends a lot on how probable these linkages are to be made, which we don't know. It also remains to be seen feasible the algorithm is to perform, and what steps can be used to control the impact. We don't know any of these yet. In any case it is interesting work that will help improve the technology (all cryptonotes) going forward. Anonymint deserves credit for coming up with it. Just wondering, couldn't you just extract the stealth addresses over time to link them? XMR dies today ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) I bet not. As do the buyers in the last 10 hours. BTW this thread has become one serious Cluster Fuck!
