I have not found this forum to have a good trust system as people who have not dealt with the user also tend to give him a negative feedback. Also, I have not seen a person getting banned for having negative feedback.

dose xapo wallet can store the altcoins too

Yes. Xapo wallet holds bits and 1000 bits is approximately equal to $0.2 and 0.001 BTC. You get some bits free while joining too.
12743  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is bitcoin anonymous? on: February 09, 2015, 11:11:46 AM

The identity of the owner is traceable through the IP addresses that is used. Thats how the government usually traces some of the crimes
Oh OK. Then that way the identity is too not anonymous but since one can own "n" number of wallets, it should have some kind of verification required before using the wallet to trace the identity of a person.
12744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New to altcoins on: February 09, 2015, 10:44:27 AM

Remember that exchanges can't be trusted with large funds though. Try to have them on a safer wallet most of the time.

Yeah that's true. Xapo is good. I accumulate mostly only 1000 bits of any altcoin and then exchange it. the price fluctuates a lot and it won't be worth if I would keep accumulating a lot.
12745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New to altcoins on: February 09, 2015, 10:36:54 AM

Altcoins are different coins. There are Dogecoin, Litecoin, Monero, Darkcoin, Magicoin, MaidSafe and a couple thousands of other coins.
Bitcoins are like Dollar and satoshi is like cents (more or less).
You can see for example Darkcoin like Euro, Monero like Pound and so on.
Each different type of coin needs a different type of wallet (in the same way you can't have Dollars and Euro in the same bank account).
Which altcoin has a future and which doesn't... that's a very big debate, really, and you will have to decide for yourself which to invest into.

Thanks dear for telling. I thought Altcoins are a different crypto currency but yes I am familiar with Dogecoins and I guess even Zippcoins are known as Altcoins. Each with a different value.

Dogecoin's value is decreasing but it has a better future I guess.

IT's not the right way to teach your child and the child may instead start hating the person for doing it. For me the answer would be an obvious no.
12747  Other / Meta / Re: How to get an "Avatar" on: February 09, 2015, 10:14:34 AM
Thanks for sharing the code but for me using a picture would be better rather than an avatar. There is no harm if one uploads a picture directly and so no clue why this forum does not allow it.
12748  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is bitcoin anonymous? on: February 09, 2015, 10:11:50 AM

Well the owner's identity can be found using the nodes/transitioning of transaction.

Really? I did not know as there is no name assigned to a wallet of a person but may be we can get to know the owner based on his forum profile link/posts. The main fact is that blockchain does not have any kind of verification required by one to open a wallet and so the identity is anonymous.
12749  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Šogecoin on: February 09, 2015, 09:56:50 AM
The price of Dogecoins is going to reduce to 1% in 10 years? That means it wont be worth much in the future then why PP is supporting it?
12750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New to altcoins on: February 09, 2015, 09:56:07 AM
I am new to altcoins and have read that it is a good crypto currency. I found a faucet list as well from where I can earn altcoins: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=910196.0

However, which wallet is good for altcoins and what is the worth of altcoins in terms of BTC or USD?

Every altcoin has its own wallet. You might want to just use an exchange as an altcoin wallet if you are not looking  to buy /get a large amount.
ANN pages usually have links for downloading the wallets.

Thanks for telling. I just went through the faucet list and most are for bitcoins and satoshis and the allet usd is Xapo which I already own. I can't get which is for earning altcoins and the price of altcoins as well.
12751  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The most reliable faucet list for beginners on: February 09, 2015, 09:49:30 AM
Thanks a lot for providing the faucet list. Kindly let me know if there is any good wallet which is best for altcoins?
12752  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is bitcoin anonymous? on: February 09, 2015, 09:47:54 AM
I don't think that bitcoin is completely anonymous as one can track an address and find the list of transactions that have taken place through the address although the owner will be unknown.

12754  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is Your Top 5? on: February 09, 2015, 09:34:58 AM
For me, it is the following crypto currencies:

1. Bitcoin
2. Dodgecoins
3. Zippcoins
4. Satoshis

I want to try out Altcoins too but don't know where to start from.
12755  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Any places to get free bitcoins for signing up? on: February 09, 2015, 09:27:26 AM
I have tried zippcoins wallet where I get 200 bits weekly as a bonus and about 1000 bits is equal to $0.2 and 0.00088 in BTC which is good enough and many can exchange these zippcoins for BTC.
12756  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin took over.... on: February 08, 2015, 09:24:48 PM
Bitcoin will not take over and if it does then many will be happy including myself. It is a currency similar to the recognized currencies and 1B is worth more than any other currency in the market.
12757  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you a Bitcoin trader? on: February 08, 2015, 09:22:57 PM
I started trading 2 years ago. The start was good as I made a good profit in the first week after which I became a more over confident which made me loss the remaining earnings. my only advice is trade less earn more, invest less and get higher profits. The moment you make a profit that is enough, cash it out rather than waiting to get higher returns.
12758  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Campaign to BOYCOTT BITCOIN! on: February 08, 2015, 09:19:09 PM
I am not going to boycott bitcoins as it has been a reliable source till date and I have had no issues with the value in holds in market except that it's price keeps fluctuating. Altcoins are as well reliable but I don't know much of their usage. Need to read more about the latter.
12759  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it the right time to invest on BTC on: February 08, 2015, 09:01:56 PM
Now when the BTC price is too low is actually the best time to invest as you can get higher returns depending on where you are investing. I am hoping that the price of BTC will increase in the coming days.
12760  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: "Trolls" are the most valuable asset on btctalk on: February 08, 2015, 09:00:18 PM
I have seen so many trolls here who post something else not pertaining to the thread content and then get banned for the same. It is just too much to deal with them as they themselves don't know what they are doing while others do it for fun.
