12781  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [Appraisal] Legit way to get 100-1000$ a day on: July 22, 2015, 02:37:02 PM
Don't get me wrong but for me Idon't think that those methods are legit or really works because it just dosen'tm ake any sense to humain mind to see someone selling a method to make 1000$ a day for any amount.  certainly not with the price is too close to each other (like method to make 50$ for 50$) .

If this really works which I doubt . I guess 5000$ would be a fair price but of course no one will take risk to buy this eBook/guide . So you may not be able to sell it anywhere if you ask me unless you provide some high quality review from a high quality member(s)

but lately I read somewhere that Electrum is not that safe (on a topic speaking about Trezor , can't find the link ) so I didn't want to use it

uhh what?Smiley

please try to find link or source and at least describe what you remember about it. I don't have statistics or something, but I think that Electrum is the most used light client in Bitcoin world and you just scared me..

related thread is here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=98.0 and I don' see any security issues described so far..at least from last weeks

Damn , you are lucky it took me some time to find the thread but here you go : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1125154.0
I'am not sure if that guy is an alternative account or simply a newbie who saying random stuff but I personally took it seriously because BTC is money and I care about my money safety .

After recent rumours of security loopholes in Electrum ....

I'am not sure where he read that though .

How long have you been stuck on 39 hours behind?

I've been stuck on a certain amount of time to go before for like an hour & instead of coming down slowly it just all of a sudden jumps to fully synchronised & up to date.

Sometimes I think my computer is frozen or something & shut it down & open core again, this seems to work. If you have a real, certified technical issue with core though I'm afraid I have no idea how to help.

Exactly the same thing as you . It was probably the same time or something like 1 or couple of hours . then it's starts jumping till I found it fully synchronized with the network . As I said here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1129075.msg11927032#msg11927032 "Jumed from 39 to 18 to 8 to fully Syncronized with the Network , what the hell  "
12784  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What Multi-signature really means & are they less safe ?? on: July 22, 2015, 01:57:26 PM
I never used any kind of those transactions of adresses , only on Bit-x.com and on BlockTrail.com and as most of you know ,those adresses starts with a 3 instead of 1 .

If basically Multi signature adress means having one private key with me and another with a friend or family member ... then how come we don't have control on a "part" of our private keys on Bit-x.com (this topic isn't about them , just giving an example)
basically what hacker need to do is steal the database and connect to our accounts (I know they have 2FA , just assuming)

I reading some articles on CoinTelegraph and jumping from a topic to another till I found my self on "The world's most secure and easy-to-use bitcoin wallet" which seems like it's this : https://choosecase.com/

when I checked their website I found this :
Quote

We're building the world's most secure wallet platform. Case is a multi-signature, multi-factor wallet that requires 2-of-3 keys for a  transaction to take place. Each key is generated and stored in a different location and protected by a different authentication factor so there’s no single point of failure.
  • Dedicated hardware that's malware/virus proof
  • Case servers only control one key so we don't have possession of funds
  • Open source firmware and third party security audits of all systems
  • Designed to meet CryptoCurrency Security Standard Level III

Check the one on bold , What does that means exactly ? If they control one key and we control one key ... Let's say we are safe ,what if they get hacked I know funds won't be moved because it need our confirmation but we can't spend our Bitcoins either can we ? if the private keys on the Server-side was damaged or lost  Huh please explain and tell me if im missing something maybe

12785  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin , IRS , Tax evasion ? on: July 22, 2015, 01:41:11 PM
I would not be surprised to see some of the exchanges start to issue statements at some point. Similar to investment accounts at various brokerages etc. Coinbase etc already verify your name address etc. So it would be easy for them.

you got a point , and that's why on my opinion we shouldn't be using any exchange website because we could do on forums like Bitcointalk (and with any payment method we would like , just like on exchanges ) etc ... because they are screwing our privacy off.
12786  Economy / Economics / Bitcoin , IRS , Tax evasion ? on: July 22, 2015, 10:33:10 AM
Speak about your self and on your country , can Bitcoin be used to make Tax evasion and how is that ?  Open discussion thread . For me I know it's possible because on Algeria they don't even knwo what Bitcoin is , so I guess it's possible however I don 't have bills or taxes to pay , just a simple teenager so the moment I don't have to care about this .

Because I was reading this article on Forbes : http://www.forbes.com/sites/robertwood/2013/05/05/sorry-bitcoin-irs-gets-reports/
and not sure what it means to be honest , I guess taxes don't work same way worldwide . I mean how they will know if you have BTC or not ?

12788  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Buy Bitcoin using Neteller ? on: July 22, 2015, 10:06:10 AM
You can post it on the digital goods section and then you can buy Bitcoin using neteller.

I guess you mean the currency exchange section , as I said above It's not an easy job to find someone trading Neteller for me . I can sell my BTC for Neteller easily however for buying bitcoins using Neteller is little bit since I can't find people to do that .

You most likely didn't read the OP , as I said "I don't like Localbitcoins" and I want something else Smiley thanks though
12789  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: !!! Bitcoin faucets !!! on: July 21, 2015, 09:57:42 PM
When you are saying "2048" if you are refering to the famous game on Bitcoin-faucet based http://bitcoin2048.com/signin then you are the one who is deeply mistaken . I'am not sure about now but when I tried this website it's a total scam and never paid me to be honest .
After a moment , they was sending some random amounts (same to all users) . It's impossible for them to pay users anyway because that game is written on JavaScript and you can easily cheat and use botting so yeah they simply send some random crap to your wallet once a week or x time
12790  Economy / Service Discussion / BitPlutos.com - Legit or scam ? on: July 21, 2015, 09:49:43 PM
Most of us know the famous website Cointelegraph , for those who don't know it's basically just like Coindesk just with more creativity on the content : http://cointelegraph.com/

I was reading an article about WikiLeaks today there and I saw the banner about this "BitPlutos" on the Top and also on the right on the page if you are reading an article . I want to know if this is a legit company ? I'am not sure if Cointelegraph checked the content or tried the website before because when you click you get their affiliate link : http://www.bitplutos.com/?campaign=6&btag=cointelegraphmainpage

So who ever used this , could please advice me and let the community know how legit this website is Smiley
12791  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New to bitcoin and eager to learn on: July 21, 2015, 08:39:23 PM
I'am not that famillliar with mining but last time I asked and I got a lot of answers ... so I will tell you what I know .. Mining isn't really profitable anymore , at least not like it was before . you will most likely pay for electricity more then you will earn unless you are looking for long term investement of course . Let's say BTC  1 now costs 280$ , in five years maybe it would costs 10k $ . you see how it works and how make it profitable ?

So it depends on several factors for the profit too (lets take off long term thing) , for me it's like 0.05$ / kw and I don't think most of the countries have the same rate , I have so cheap Electricity .
for miners I don't know a lot , check the thread I gave you , people gave a lot of useful informations . Most of peopl are using ANTMINER S3 - S4  - S5 etc. .. If you want something used and not new (works fine) check the Hardware section and you will find some people selling it . however those miners are nothing near 0.1 BTC AFAIK .
12792  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New to bitcoin and eager to learn on: July 21, 2015, 07:38:07 PM
Hello! Bitcoin sparked my interest a few weeks ago and I decided to give it a shot. I've been using some faucets for a while and made a deposit of 30 EUR to my coinbase wallet. I also have a blockchain wallet and an account at yobit.net. If someone could point me in the right direction of where to start that would be great!

I honestly don't have much experience with financial markets, trading etc but I'd like to learn. Is 0.1 Bitcoin too low to do anything with or what would be a suitable amount?

Regards Max

There is something you could do actually , we start with the first part since you new to bitcoin and want to learn ...
Never store your bitcoins on Blockchain.info or any other online wallet (same goes for Coinbase) or any exchange (including YoBit) . If you are using mostly PC then I suggest you to use Bitcoin core (if you don't want to download the 30 GB file then go with Electrum or Multibit HD) .  That's for storing your bitcoins .

Now for what comes to your 0.1 BTC , I usually don't recommend people to gamble because it's a loss if it was for winning then we would all do it .
I suggest you to look on the "Digital goods" section and buy Full Member account with high quality posts from reputable member around here . after doing that head to Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns and choose a good signature compaign . (Bit-x pays 0.008 BTC per constructive post) which means if you make 100 posts per week you could make 0.08 BTC per week . etc ... do the calculations and you will see .( Make sure to use an escrow when you trade on the forums  )
Feel free to ask further questions , we are here to help you out

Okay thanks. I downloaded Bitcoin core and it's synchronizing right now. I tried some gambling at https://primedice.com/play and from what I've seen and read by other users it seems like a fair site. I'm a bit hesitant about buying a full member account because 1. I barely have any experience with bitcoin and 2: I don't know anything about financial market/trading etc. I feel like I couldn't provide that much useful information, which make that seem like a questionable investment..

Alright it may take some time to synchronize with the network due to the huge amount of GB on the file as I said (all depends on your internet connection speed) .
PrimeDice is the oldest website on Bitcoin Gambling world and it's used by hundreds if not thousands of users daily . It is fair indeed but you knwo Gambling you can't predict of the results . either you win all either you lose all (which will most likely happen unless yo uknow when to stop) , for the Full Member account it depends on you really . If you think you can contribute on the community then go for it , otherwise ... you shouldn't . You could ask questions like you do now or sell goods & digital goods on the marketplace there is several sections (some signature compaign don't allow posting in some sections) but don't abuse otherwise you will get banned for spamming  , there is only helping section on bitcointalk .. there is other sections where you basically give your opinion about stuff and thoughts etc ...

12794  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Wallet Monitor on: July 21, 2015, 06:05:55 PM
Well checking the balance of an adress is a service available but hundreds of website and API's like Blockchain.info , BlockTrail & other block explorers .
for what comes to the second part which is notification system then yes I really like and I would use definitly . (Prefer the SMS because if I have internet to check email & twitter .. I don't see why I would pay for this service since I can check my wallet then )  Grin
Also define "small" monthly fee . how much would that be
12795  Other / Politics & Society / Re: War on ISIS: Can we even win? on: July 21, 2015, 05:17:22 PM
I'am telling you when ISIS will dissapaear , It will dissapear when CIA and mossad take their backup off . it will dissapear when goverments stop and cut the crap when a muslim kill anyone it's called "Terrorism" and anything else is not .
We can wait couple of years and you will end up by finding Terrorism is the synonym of being muslim . they just want to screw this religion off. shitload of leaked files says that Baghdadi was trained by CIA and othe rintelligence agencies but does any says a shit ? McCain have pictures with ISIS leader but no body says a shit . Leaders of ISIS (who left) says that they was making deals with USA but no body says a shit either.
Nukes are the solution of all issues . for the moment Russia is the only country who really s tanding on USA face wondering what would they do if Putin wasen't a real man . Yes #Conspiracy theories
12796  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much do you think 1 Bitcoin will be worth in 2020? on: July 21, 2015, 09:41:23 AM
Five years from now , that's two halving block rewards right ? means next year 2016 then after 4 years = 2020 .
It would reach 10k $ maximum if you ask me , 100$ will make everyone millionaires here which is not likely to happen that easy unless there is other factors like Paypal going down or some big companies start to accept bitcoins or shit like that .

12798  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: OpenBazaar - decentralized eBay on: July 21, 2015, 08:34:53 AM
Speaking about the rating and the escrow systems again here .
Shouldn't account creation or  application or whatever stick to one IP or something ? I mean at the begining and the opening of this software "OpenBazaar" all people will be basically with 0% rating so we can't avoid some scamming at the beggining I guess and people will just keep doing it and come back with other accounts or to whatever the account is related to .
Agree with the user above too , in fact you can do this in Amazon and not only OpenBazaar ... the escrow will be believe who exactly and what he is going to do if both parties claim something (one did n't receive it , and other claim that he did send)  Undecided  I don't think that this project is going to work out , don't get me wrong I want from this project to success more then anyone here most likely but I just don't see how it's gonna work

12799  Economy / Economics / Re: Debit cards with a reasonable limit per year on: July 21, 2015, 08:13:42 AM
what do you by not registrer , you have to make an account on any website to get their card . that's for sure ... I'am not sure how you are annonymus with Bit-x.com while you provide your name , family name & adress to get the card . Anyway .. there is this Advcash which I tested but I didn't ask for the Plastic card , I just asked for the Virtual card .

That's just something estimated based on the number of visitors and the Alexa rank and domain age etc ... It should worth much more and even more if we were using Google Adsense for example but iidk , I guess theymos prefer staying secure (not using JS) then getting hacked because of the money (which is the wise and good thing to do )
