12781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help to buy a new graphic card :D on: December 16, 2017, 09:31:35 PM
Beggar are getting smarter they want money via cryptocurrencies. It reminds me of Beggar in China that accepts mobile payments using QR code.
I never heard or read that guy.

@OP if you want to buy a new graphic card, start to fix yourself. Get a job and start to save money for it. I'm not trying to be harsh to you but this isn't the place to beg for money or if you are not employed try to sell something that you are not using anymore and save it for that GPU. I'm trying to help you that you shouldn't depend on other people's help when it comes to these things.
12782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN vs ETH ? Your thoughts? on: December 16, 2017, 09:24:18 PM
ETH is good but bitcoin is the best. I know that we are having some differences regarding it's miners fee and the waiting time for confirmation. But I still trust and believe in bitcoin, look even though with these occurring problems the price of it is pumping. Others are saying ETH is the sleeping giant but still bitcoin will remain the biggest of them all. But again enough with these comparisons it should be bitcoin and eth not vs.
12783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Long Term Investment on: December 16, 2017, 09:10:12 PM
Hey all,

Been investing in crypto for the last few months as well as trying to learn more about it. Initially downloaded Coinbase and deposited $1000 (50% - ETH, 35% BTC and 15% LTC). Since the initial investment I've been topping up each crypto depending on the market conditions (usually between $25 to $150).

Just wanted a little advice on whether it's better to carry on with this strategy and concentrating on these 3 cryptos for long term profit (1-5 years) or would it be advisable to increase the number of alts I have in my portfolio. Was looking at DASH, Ripple, Cardano, Monero, Stellar, NEO, Siacoin and OmiseGO.

Any advise is welcome  Smiley

What I noticed is you put even more with ETH rather than bitcoin but if I were you, I'll put more capital with bitcoin and if possible more than ETH. If you'll just buy and hold with the three coins that you prefer to hold for 5 years then just stick to it while those other coins that you are getting interest of are good coins too, you can do the same strategy with what you are doing with the three ones. Diversifying your investment is a good one and you seem to have a good potential portfolio. I can't say a thing anymore, I think you know what you are doing.
12784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is a million dollars possible? on: December 16, 2017, 09:01:08 PM
If one were to buy and hold solid  avaerge coins (not a coin that kicks out and gets 10000% gain), but rather a nice steady gain like eth, Ltc etc (top 20) and starts with 10k, is it possible to reach a million without trading and buying/selling at highs and lows? If so, how long would you predict it would take? Or are most coins not going to last long term,
You don't have to be a day trader to gain a lot and you actually get the idea that buying and holding is better than day trading. There's a big chance that you'll become a millionaire by always buying at the dip of each coin that you prefer and just hold it for a year or two and get back to it when you are ready to take profits. Those coins that are not going to last for longer term are the less developed.

so every 6 months would I have to rebalance with newer coins?
You can even do this every month/week/day depends on how wide your pocket is.
12785  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin the next big thing? on: December 16, 2017, 08:49:02 PM
Why then should people invest in or buy a currency that can rise or fall by 20 percent in an hour or two?
The answer for question is already there, that's why everyone is investing to something that is rising for 20% to take profits and just wait for it's time to fall for 20% or even lower to buy back. Bitcoin's volatility is the main reason why everyone is riding the train of bitcoin now. We do want to earn effortlessly by just buying it and wait for it's value to grow that's how it goes. It may not change or replace currency but it will change the perspective of modern investors.
12786  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin community is rising. on: December 16, 2017, 08:35:13 PM
The bitcoin community is increasing rapidly not only out there, in the areas where I live so much who wants to enter the bitcoin community itself.
hopefully this is a good sign, both for the community and for bitcoin
It's literally a good sign and it's health for the whole bitcoin community and it will add value to bitcoin. And so if you want to keep on holding just hold it because those people that are desiring to enter bitcoin market will add to the marketcap once they start to invest with it. The thing here is there are too many people in this world and there are potential investors that are still not getting to bitcoin so if ever they started getting in for sure this will affect the price in a positive way.
12787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Alt coin should I buy next? on: December 16, 2017, 08:22:21 PM
I want to buy some new currency. But not sure which ones. It'd be helpful if you throw in your ideas with brief reasoning.
I've read a reddit post that is shared on another social media platform about someone invested on the top 10 altcoins of coinmarketcap. He did invested $100 for each of it so that makes $1,000 in total, he started on 1/1/2017 and up to now the worth of his investment is already $42k. That's totally high so that will be a tip to you and maybe you'll get inspired by that type of strategy for choosing the alt coins that you want to invest and trade. As an addition, he did held it for a year.
12788  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Supermarket Accept Bitcoin on: December 16, 2017, 06:23:46 AM

In what country are you living? There are merchants and exchanges where you can use to encash your bitcoin but using bitcoin to purchase goods in supermarket in real time isn't possible for now. But there will be some upgrades in the future and this is going to be one of the best place to shop, supermarket that accepts bitcoin will exist soon.
12789  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Internet Marketing on: December 16, 2017, 05:29:15 AM
To be honest with you I don't know about internet marketing because am still new here and I believe learning makes perfect. Please can someone explain to me what internet marketing is all about?
Even you are new here, this isn't just the time that it was invented. It is existing since before and many are using it as a medium of advertising what they offer. Internet marketing is putting your products on the web and you are attracting people through it just like the usual way of advertising through televisions and radios. To know more about it try to read this https://www.quicksprout.com/the-beginners-guide-to-online-marketing/
12790  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good news from USA and Japan. on: December 16, 2017, 04:24:52 AM
That's good to know, I'm even interested more with the progress of bitcoin in Japan. Giving a part of people's salary in bitcoin seems to be a good idea. They really want to push through bitcoin transactions and this is just the start of it. But just like what others are saying here that we shouldn't expect too much or else we will be broke after not reaching our expectation. We had to wait it's result and on how it will be affecting the price.
12791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: With how much should i start on: December 16, 2017, 04:05:40 AM
How much do i need to start trading altcoins. I would like to know what would be the ideal number.
If you can invest $500 that will be enough for you to buy and start a simple portfolio but if you can't it $100 or less than up to $20 can be a good option for you. What you need to do is to know what will be the best coin in your opinion, there are too many choice that you can. As you start, capital is not really a big matter what it matters is when you started to gain idea and you are looking forward for better gains.
12792  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin crossed $16,700 on: December 16, 2017, 02:29:17 AM
This weekend Bitcoin will rich $20,000?
Nope bitcoin will not reach $20,000 this weekend. I'm always checking the price of bitcoin and this weekend it's not possible to see bitcoin hit $20,000 too easy. I've seen the price, it's wave ups and down and yet the price isn't able to reach $20,000 though the movement is really quick. And this far we just have to be calm and let bitcoin move smoothly, there's more of it too come and for now be patient we will be there.
12793  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how risky is day trading? on: December 16, 2017, 01:13:29 AM
How risky is day trading at the moment?
There's no certain unit of measurement on how risky day trading is. There are a lot of things to be considered when you will day trade, fees, changes, movement of price and it all depends on the altcoins you are holding. But saying that it's too risky to do day trade is only when you are lack of knowledge with it. And if you want to avoid even the smallest risk that you want to take there is other choice that you can have and that is by just holding for long term.
12794  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you think its the right time to sell Bitcoin ? on: December 15, 2017, 11:16:14 PM
Do you think it will be the best time to sell as there are two kind of speculations one says the value of bitcoin will reach $20,000 by 2018 and there are also speculations that the bitcoin might go through a dump in upcoming days but i know we cannot believe into random predictions by random users due to the volatility of bitcoin but i need some suggestions whether to hold on to bitcoin or sell it out and invest some of it into altcoins and then wait for the price drop to reinvest into bitcoin which i am not sure will happen or not.

If you want to sell then just sell, there's no need to ask if it's the right time of selling. If you bought bitcoin at $10,000 and we have it today at $17,000 then that's a profit and it's up to you if you want to keep on holding it if it's not enough. Where did you got that speculation that says bitcoin will might go through a dumping sequence? It's normal when people are dumping their bitcoins because of profit and they will also comeback when the price starts to get lower.
12795  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Stabilizing At $20K on: December 15, 2017, 11:00:35 PM
why price stable at 20k$?
It says stabilizing at $20,000 so it means that it's starting to get ready to land on that price.

why price moving fast after braking 10k$?
This is the unstoppable question of many even outside the forum and the answer is because of it's high demand, no other reason behind that.

it is impossible to stable after breaking 10,000$

It may look impossible but it's going to happen and you'll see it after few weeks or on the first quarter of 2018.
12796  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins on: December 15, 2017, 10:47:00 PM
Hello ! Newbie here , just want to know why there's always keep coming new altcoins everyday to the public?Hope someone can enlightened me .   Huh

It's every developer sees big profit with altcoins and they just keep on creating their own altcoins that suppose to make them tons of money and it's their hope.

Oh I see , thanks for the information y'all
Need to dig more to understand this and make a positive results . Chao !   Smiley

Nice and good to know that you have understand it all, there are too many of it and that simply means that there's a big demand of crypto currencies mainly with bitcoin and next the undying creation of altcoins.

Oh it's sad to know the developers sees only the advantage for them , and not more on the investors side  Cheesy This is a big GAMBLING i could say  Grin
They understand that crypto is a big business and as for them taking that advantage is their fortune. But let's don't generalize them, there are some that are greedy and doesn't want to add some piece of history in the world of cryptocurrency but there are those developers that are really forward for a better and great crypto world and do everything they can to help the people and at the same time to incentivize too.
12797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Think fast,buy or sell? on: December 15, 2017, 10:33:10 PM
Im just wanna know opinion some people about bitcoin price in the end of 2017.if see price of bitcoin now and prediction trader
You don't have to ask this question there's plenty of discussion on this section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=57.0 which is all about speculations.

are you scare to buy or sell bitcoin?

Why do I have to be scared of buying or selling bitcoin? If buying will give me volume of bitcoins then that is not a thing to be scared of. And if selling will generate my profit why do I need to be scared of?

12798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How effective are bounty campaigns for ICOs? on: December 15, 2017, 10:20:04 PM
Do bounty campaigns really generate Token sales?
Yes, imagine that you are in the world's largest bitcoin / crypto forum and you'll advertise? Do you imagine on how many views and interests you'll get once your campaign started to make some attraction throughout the forum?

and do the bounty hunters really get rich by such campaigns?
Not the bounty hunters because it is just a cent to the developers, the developers are the ones who are earning that much.
12799  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin versus other offline currencies on: December 15, 2017, 10:05:32 PM
why compare bitcoin against offline currencies because obviously cash or offline currencies are the most used by people around the world rather than bitcoin but indeed the trend has been change that digital currencies being so popular now and invest at them is good for long term but do not forgot that volatile always be the main problem for bitcoin and cash already defeat bitcoin from this case because cash is pretty much stable than bitcoin

And don't forget that cash or offline currencies are backed up and supported by the government so it only means that it is safe to use and recommended by the authorities. All of us as citizens are just following what will be the government is going to dictate and tell what's good and bad. Comparing bitcoin to these currencies is something that really doesn't add to the value of knowledge that we wanted to know more about bitcoin.
12800  Economy / Economics / Re: What coin do you believe will be next to bitcoin? on: December 15, 2017, 09:49:26 PM
no altcoin i can see will be next to bitcoin
I agree on this, I also don't consider that there will be some other altcoins that will be the same like bitcoin or next to it. And it's too early to think about this either, bitcoin isn't dying anyway and why we have to think and come out to this question in our heads? or should I say that majority of the altcoins can also experience the success that bitcoin went through and keeps on going through with it's everyday existence?
