The currency hoppers are back again  the net hash rate jumped from 200 to 500 and next difficulty will rise from 1.9 to 3. The hoppers will then probabbly leave again. It would be really nice if we could prevent this somehow, otherwise mining casinocoin will never get entirely stable. |

@ vesperwillow - thanks for the download...still the same problem on my rigs at the moment...Failed to load X server...I am sure there is something easy there in conf file for X server but no idea what it could be...
Hi, You need very new AMD Catalyst drivers for the R9 280x cards to be working at top speed. I am using BAMT as well and have it altered to use the Catalyst 13.4 drivers and CGMiner 3.7.2 which is the last to support Scrypt. I can see if i put the image online via my site www.megamineros.com? |

Some pools are getting to big and that is dangerous for the stabillity of the coin! Create multiple accounts at different pools and divide your hashrate. We are running on 1% fee now! Network Hash rate is jumping the last 24 hours like crazy between 400 - 900 MHash. There are probably a lot of big miners hopping between currencies and when they get back to CSC it has a big influence on mining because the difficulty has not adapted yet but mining power increased. So the new big miners take a very large share of the blocks. It seems to me they are doing it on purpose because as soon as difficulty increases they leave again. Maybe the CSC admins should analyse this and maybe decrease the time between new difficulty calculations?

All the other sites are wide open to hackers trying to steal your credentials.
Ehhh have you been pen testing other pools or something? MooPool.com is well secured. If you have actual reason to believe other pools are "Wide Open" please let the pool operators know about the vulnerabilities you've found so we can keep the community safe. Your site is not encrypted at all, so your users submit there username and password in cleartext when they login. Hackers sniff traffic to known sites of interrest to catch usernames and passwords. If you want to prevent that please add SSL security to your pool! |

Please be aware of unsecured sites !!!There are lately a lot of problems with hijacked coin wallets due to insecure mining pool sites. If a site is not secured by SSL your credentials are not safe. If they get into the wrong hands they can log into your account, change the payout address and empty your wallet into theirs. Some pointers: - Always mine at secure mining pool sites (like https://www.megamineros.com/CSC)
- Always set automatic payout to e.g. 250 so you will never loose more than that ammount)
- Use hard to guess credentials for website logins to make it harder for bruteforce attacks to steal your password

Backup procedures are in place to be able to prevent coin loss at all cost!! We also added a new stratum node located in the United States: stratum+tcp://norteamerica.megamineros.com:3334 So now you can also have it as a fallback to stratum+tcp://latinoamerica.megamineros.com:3334 and never loose a share again. From my own experiences of the last few days, please keep a close watch on your pool server because for now with 11 miners and 5 MHash it is running smooth, but wait till you get 100 miners with 100 MHash and see your server crash as well. You need to prepare to scale because if you won't the system will crash.
Wish you the best tho, we need several stable pools to get this coin mining stable as well.

https://www.megamineros.com/CSC is finally online again. I do regret to say that we had a complete server crash because of the enormous loads. Things got out of hand so rapidly that i lost the entire server setup including the wallet on the server. I tried to recover the files together with Amazon Cloud Support but it was too corrupted to be recovered. As the pool was only running for a few days i did not yet have backup procedures in place. I now that there were around 3500 coins in the wallet at the time of the crash but i can not recover the information to whom those belonged as the database got also corrupted. I do know that around 1250 of those where mine so i kind of lost a lot as well. I sincerely apologize for this. Most users had their payouts on automatic at 250 which is the default and thus you can never lose more than that. For now the server is online again and i increased the resources and set it up now in a way where i can more easily increase the available resources with very little downtime if necessary. Some user accounts that where created or altered after about 12-12-2013 midnight might have been lost. In that case you need to recreate your account. If you continue to mine with https://www.megamineros.com/CSC you are more than welcome!! If you decide to not return i can understand that but hope you accept my apologies. Still no luck getting www.megamineros.com out of the red zone, will now move database off server to an other dedicated one, will keep downtime as low as possible. There is so much I/O going on handling all those shares ... |

https://www.megamineros.com/CSC-- I keep having problems with the server load, shares are still being processed and blocks are being found but especially the webinterface is having a very big influence on MySQL load. For now i disabled apache to have the cronjobs catching up with the backlog of blocks processing. I will also change the crons from every 10 minutes to once per hour. If the website is slow hang in there for now, i am going to setup a stratum node on servers in north america and europe to share the load but that is going to take some time (current server is in Amazon datacenter Sao Paulo). For the next few hours payouts will be done, after that i re-enable the website. Did not expect the pool to grow this much this fast, kind of cool but giving me a lot of work i had not planned for

www.megamineros.com/CSC is going down for an hour !! Due to the ever increasing user count we need to do some maintenance to the server. Especially MySQL is causing very high cpu load. We are going to load balance the MySQL database to reduce the server load and increase webserver speed. Please do not leave our pool as we are mining a lot! Maximum down time estimated at 1 hour or till 20:00 EST. Allthough i hope we are only again sooner. First we will bring down the website, and keep the downtime for the CasinoCoin Deamon as small as posible so you can continu mining. This will NOT affect payouts whatsoever !!!
