https://www.megamineros.com/CSC/

We are now running on a full high availability MySQL cluster. Response times have improved. Backup procedures are in place to be able to prevent coin loss at all cost!!

We also added a new stratum node located in the United States: stratum+tcp://norteamerica.megamineros.com:3334
So now you can also have it as a fallback to stratum+tcp://latinoamerica.megamineros.com:3334 and never loose a share again. A node in Europe will also be added in the next day or so. Please check out https://www.megamineros.com/CSC/index.php?page=gettingstarted for details about configuring the nodes.

There are also some users trying to mine with a non existing account. Please check your miners and contact me with a PM if you can not connect.

Happy mining!!

Please be aware of unsecured sites !!!
There are lately a lot of problems with hijacked coin wallets due to insecure mining pool sites. If a site is not secured by SSL your credentials are not safe. If they get into the wrong hands they can log into your account, change the payout address and empty your wallet into theirs. Some pointers:

  • Always mine at secure mining pool sites (like https://www.megamineros.com/CSC)
  • Always set automatic payout to e.g. 250 so you will never loose more than that ammount)
  • Use hard to guess credentials for website logins to make it harder for bruteforce attacks to steal your password

Happy Mining!!

I was very happy that transcoder returned but he seems rather busy with this 9-5 job.

So I will take the initiative:

Any coders here who can help build a CSC browser wallet based on the SpareCoins wallet?  We need to replicate Blockchain.info's balance fetching and transaction pushing.

I also take CSC donations for funding the CSC browser wallet: CdXvZX7jQ8REiHEjtK6fHeLdYH9Pug66He

It will be a huge push for CSC if we are the second coin which has a browser wallet!

Furthermore: Donations for translation of casinoco.in into Chinese: Cc9hFodEjAw6VogzyV4qHc1SoZPB7BZSts

What we really need is a CasinoCoin browser wallet + API, similar to PayPal. I'm already in talks with Transcoder to do something like this; perhaps you could help out? I'm great at handling API related stuff but the actual wallet and storage of coins will be new to me. Add me on skype if you'd like; my username is SirSavary.

I just checked my account and i'm missing 55coins. Mayby it's better not to transfer coins there before old transactions appear on balance.

We at Moowh launched a new CasinoCoin pool and after some stability testing it's live now. The first few blocks have been found already. It's cloud hosted to make it stable and so we can easily upgrade the servers if they would get too slow somehow.

The pool has VARDIFF, a low 1% fee and even a block finder reward.

Join us at http://csc.moowh.nl/

Please give the new pool a chance, so we can have a good hashing pool and everyone will benefit from it.

Someone may want to contact Clapyohands. He has a site with online wallets (including API I think). https://mywl.lt/

Appears that multiple accounts were locked out of MooPool today due to someone entering false credentials. These accounts have been unlocked and their owners can continue mining and may also withdraw their coins.

Network Hash rate is jumping the last 24 hours like crazy between 400 - 900 MHash. There are probably a lot of big miners hopping between currencies and when they get back to CSC it has a big influence on mining because the difficulty has not adapted yet but mining power increased. So the new big miners take a very large share of the blocks. It seems to me they are doing it on purpose because as soon as difficulty increases they leave again. Maybe the CSC admins should analyse this and maybe decrease the time between new difficulty calculations?

I should have asked for this sooner, but I need the help of the CasinoCoin community to help push CasinoCoin forward. In the last few months, I suffered through some personal health setbacks that have put my priorities into place, and as a result, I neglected CasinoCoin. In this business, confidence is critical, and my hiatus has eroded the confidence of something that I've built and believe in.

Since the beginning of CasinoCoin, it always has been a one-man show behind the operations, from development to marketing (and even graphics design!), I was the one responsible for all aspects. While that may have been a bit of an ego boost, there's a downside to it of which we have experienced during my hiatus from CasinoCoin. Even though we are dealing with a decentralized currency, it's critical to have the full support of an active developer, and CasinoCoin has suffered in the last few months because of my neglect.

I can't excuse the lack of communication during my hiatus, and I understand why some of you have lost trust in CasinoCoin, and especially trust in myself. One thing that has become fairly clear through this ordeal is that CasinoCoin can no longer be run as a one-man operation. Even though a one-man operation is efficient, it also means there is a single point of failure. For the long term benefit of the currency, we need a team to drive CasinoCoin. I hereby am asking for the help of the CasinoCoin community to take on roles such as developer, marketing, community liason, etc. One of the critical pieces is the GitHub repository containing the CasinoCoin source code. I will be opening this up to contributors so that developers can contribute to the CasinoCoin project without me being the single point of failure.

For those of you that are curious, I still have the same amount of CSC as I did prior to the hiatus (or even a little bit more since my mining rigs had continue to run for awhile). CasinoCoin was never meant to be a pump and dump scheme. In fact, with this new mindset of opening up CasinoCoin in order to spread out responsibility and lower risk due to a single point of failure, I'm willing to give up a stake in the amount of CasinoCoins that I mined fairly during the launch of CasinoCoin to those who would like to join and contribute.

For those of you that are considering the idea of poaching the CasinoCoin name, I'd suggest that you not do so. It will only cause confusion in the marketplace that does not benefit anyone but you. If you are going to go down this route, then consider an entirely new name instead. Else, I hope that you strongly consider joining the CasinoCoin team and help contribute to the longevity of this coin from the ground floor -- you haven't missed the boat yet. Your addition to the team will only help strengthen CasinoCoin and confidence in it.

I'd like to hear your thoughts, both positive and negative. It's time for me to get back to work.

Just Curious if Casino Coin was Instamined? it looks like it has a superlow difficulty at first then the price pumped up and there was lots of volume when it was relisted on coinmarketcap this week.. curious whats going on there...
