Hi all, have 1 question to devs: why encrypted messages can be viewed in main and transaction pages? I think this in not right, they must be hidden, like in NXT. Right?
You can see them. Others won't be able to see them.

ok no luck.. i dont know what the hell is wrong that it wont work.. :/ allowed the port in the firewall settings, didnt work, turned off the firewall - didnt work, router settings didnt work.. :/
edit:
martismartis, netgear (ssid)AirCard-4210
just had a look online and one site, in relation to white listing, is showing ports like "http=port80". is that the way it is supposed to be entered or just as "7890" with out the http=?
no worries if i cant get it working, il just bring it into college and someone will know how to fix it..
Can you point me to that manual? I cannot find it. Different countries have different number. Kodtycoon i can't find that model. Is your menu greyish with violet / green buttons ? You should find it under NAT setting if your router has NAT setting. Ok try netgear aircard 762s That's more like it. Goto: Router -> Port Forward Name: NEM IP: your local ip that 192.... thing PORT: 7890 If possible choose TCP/UDP as protocol. klick Add I assume that's what you did anyway ?

Oops! NEM Infrastructure Server is not available. why?
Oops - I already answered in the chatbox. [Oct 21 12:25:04] patmast3r:because you have to wait a bit for it to start [Oct 21 12:25:53] patmast3r:depending on hardware and network seeped it can take between 20 seconds and 5 minutes (allthough more than 1 min is unusual) patience - do you have even the slightest bit ?

If whitelisting does not work configure portforwarding for 7890 and the ip of the machine NIS is running on and the same port on that machine. I'm not sure how versed you are in these things so I'll add this without wanting to offend you. The machine your forwarding to will not have the ip you're usually seeing when you're surfing the internet and check your ip. It will most likely look like 10.0.0.1 or 192.168.0.1. ok.. i went to ipconfig in cmd and it gives me ipv4 and default gateway that only have the last digit different.. which is it? they both look the same as the latter ip you posted. It's not the default GW it's the other one. The default GW should be your router and you need the IP of the machine NIS is running on. still not workin.. udp or tcp? it was set default tcp.. iv tried ipv4, public ip got from a website, DG, white listing and forwarding. no luck.. ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) I think tcp is used but I'm not sure as udp would also make sense. Have you tried also specifically allowing that port for incoming in the windows firewall ?

Has phase 2 already started?
the question , I have all my nem token in AE and wait for the real coins. Will hopefully announce something about that TODAY. In the meatime create your real address with the BETA and wait for instructions ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Guess what, something special is about to happen any moment now. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) It's NEM time. ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) oh aye? spit it out then....lol... We're going to get an asian couple to adopt 4 kids that are 4 years old ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) (Sorry, I just couldn't stop myself)

PLEASE BE FASTER WITH THE STAKES DISTRIBUTION!!! I´M ANGRY THAT MY ACCOUNT WILL HACKED!!!!
How about you just don't let it get hacked ? Besides if you already registered your token you don't need to worry about it. If your stake is on the AE then you don't need to worry about it either since NXT accounts usually don't just get hacked unless you chose a weak password in which case it's all on you. Use CTRL+F. You are there. AND STOP WITH THE CAPITAL1!!!!ONEONE

guys we need to do something with NEM price on NXT AE ,because stake cost 40k .No chinees going to buy for that price ,because it means "DEATH". NEM IS DOOMED
What exactly do you mean? Is that too high or too low and why the chinese? Do chinese people need a special price? ) Appearantly they do. They need their own supply so I think a special price isn't too much to ask ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif)

Some minor changes have been added to the newsletter. Did anyone read this ? This thread was filled with the discussion regarding a longer redemption period for a week and now an announcement regarding that doesn't even spark any reaction ? Let me post the direct link then: https://medium.com/@xtester/extended-redemption-period-d6e7ceaf3a53that's shocking.. Soo many people kicked up a stink over the unclaimed and now that a solution is put into practice by the devs.. No one can even say thank you... Demented community? ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) I think they are more interested in seeing the trees in front than the forest. :-) It certainly brings up the question why the team should give a fuck about what is being discussed here. It probably will end up being the same when the total supply is changed. First everyone makes a huge fuzz and then noone cares. Frustrating as fuck.

In my op it is the best possibility to handle the unclaimed ones. This doesn't have anything todo with how to handle the unclaimed stakes.

Will NEM have an Asset Exchange like NXT?
I can't wait to buy some Assets.
Yes but not at launch. Hopefully it will be implemented within Q1 2k15

what happened tp the node? price is dumping.
The developers got publicly doxed, there's only two of them and they're highschool kids (and allegations of being brothers). Photos and screenshots from VK (Russian Facebook) to confirm it. The party gifs we used to post were retrospectively appropriate. If strangers on the internet gave me that much money when I was 18 I would had spent it on parties. In fact, I would be disappointed if they DIDN'T use the money to party! Nothing wrong with being young but NODE team is obviously lacking an aged mentor to keep them in line, keep them motivated and to help them do things like approach banks or angel investors. That probably explains why the developers don't really communicate, they think they can blow off the community but don't realize that like 90% of crypto is community / faith (look at Doge) and developers have to be communicable or people lose confidence. Where can I find all that information ?

Sounds like a good idea! But how is it to "lose" 200 stakes? Is it worth it? That was the best compromise I can think of. We can ignore the superstition but I think there was a plurality opinion between the polls that is not an advisable route as it could backfire. I wouldn't want a coin if it had a supply of 666 and I imagine many East Asians may not want a coin with a supply of 4. We may laugh at these things but it could be a deal breaker. It was already discussed, back when the issue of unclaimed stakes first arose, about burning X amount. So burning 200 is a simple thing.. Is it worth it? We know Gliss and I think to Gliss whether you put 700 into an investment fund or 500 into an investment fund, he would count neither in the available supply on coinmarketcap. Does gliss discount the NXT in the community fund? If the money is put into an investment fund, it is to be actively used, so I see no reason why it would not be in the marketcap. I think if it were to end up somewhere then it would be on the asset page, not on the standard default page which is available supply. If the fund would be represented by an asset but I'm not sure that would be the case.
