The vote is up now BTW, looks like CS's email failures extend to vote notifications as well...

I guess I can't complain since I got it for free, my ROI is effectively infinity! Cheesy
You had to buy 1,000 shares in CoinPal. Those are now almost definitely worth less, thats like saying "I paid for three years tuition at college and they gave me a free book!"

Sure, I guess you could possibly argue that, only time will tell for sure Smiley

1284  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] SCRYPT 10 GH/s hosted scrypt mining project by CRYPTX - IPO 7 MAY on: May 16, 2014, 10:40:37 AM
So I'm guessing we should see our first dividend payment any time now?

Edit: After reading the prospectus again I see that the payments are on a Friday, so I guess that means 'today' at some stage (I'm in New Zealand where Friday is almost over! Smiley )
1285  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [IPO] CoinPal - Crypto-Currency Exchange & Profit Switching Mining Pool {NEW} on: May 16, 2014, 10:37:53 AM
They're meant to be used in large quantities. Typically in USB hubs 20-40 in size. It's a poor man's ASIC if you got enough.

Sure, but even 100 of these is still only going to ever give you 1 BTC, so from a ROI perspective it just doesn't seem to be worth it!
1286  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [IPO] CoinPal - Crypto-Currency Exchange & Profit Switching Mining Pool {NEW} on: May 16, 2014, 01:52:50 AM
So I ran the BitFury USB miner specs through a Mining profitability calculator and unless I've put something in incorrectly, it appears that my USB miner will generate me a grand total of 0.01 BTC over the next year.

Does that sound correct!?
1287  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [IPO] CoinPal - Crypto-Currency Exchange & Profit Switching Mining Pool {NEW} on: May 14, 2014, 01:40:19 PM
Status is allready sold. But that just means that someone takes up the offer, and he has until august to complete it (he doesnt have to buy shares actually). He only bought the option to buy my shares... Sad

Ah right, sorry, my bad.
1288  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [IPO] CoinPal - Crypto-Currency Exchange & Profit Switching Mining Pool {NEW} on: May 14, 2014, 09:41:41 AM
I am an idiot hah. Created an option for coinpal, but forgot to adjust the time period in which they can buy the shares. So now someone just paid the 0.01 bitcoin to get the option, but probably doesn't buy the shares. So they are stuck somewhere until august... DOH

I believe that you can still cancel before the expiry date, at least my option still has an 'X' beside it, but I don't want to cancel mine so I won't try Smiley

I have received a tracking number from Ryan G for my NanoFury.  You can follow it here if you wish, all the way to me in Auckland, New Zealand Smiley

In addition, I asked him about the missing dividends from a couple of weeks ago and this was his reply:
Quote
I know I will be making up for these missed dividends soon, sorry about it taking awhile.  I am having to spend a large amount of my personal savings to get this up and going because the last developer did not refund any of the payments I made to him!
1290  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [IPO] CoinPal - Crypto-Currency Exchange & Profit Switching Mining Pool {NEW} on: May 12, 2014, 01:01:18 PM
I want to believe, that there is some development going on behind the curtains and he want to let the facts speak for themself, but Iīm not quite sure if thatīs really the case...

To be honest, if this was a scam, there's absolutely no point in keeping up the facade now.  He has 99% of all the money he's going to get, so giving us updates and dividends is counter-intuitive.  If he was a scammer we'd never hear from him again and he'd be gone in the wind.

People may argue that he can't disappear because we tracked him down and have his personal details, but honestly, if you are a scammer, you would make damn sure that you never use any real ID / names for anything to do with the scam.  It's just basic logic.
1291  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [IPO] CoinPal - Crypto-Currency Exchange & Profit Switching Mining Pool {NEW} on: May 08, 2014, 09:39:54 AM
I'll make at least 3x that with the opportunities I  lined up for Coin-pal using it on one of my own ventures anyway

So I take it that means that Ryan G didn't take you up on your offer of the marketing opportunities?
1292  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [IPO] CoinPal - Crypto-Currency Exchange & Profit Switching Mining Pool {NEW} on: May 08, 2014, 01:44:18 AM
Well that was nice, purchased some cheap options and a dividend came in too Smiley

... about 50K worth for 5k perchance? Cheesy
1293  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [IPO] CoinPal - Crypto-Currency Exchange & Profit Switching Mining Pool {NEW} on: May 07, 2014, 05:20:29 AM
Fuck. who ever bought my typo cancel it or coinpals going to no expos or having pro affiliates.

I meant to type 0.001 but put 0.0001 for 50K shares. I suggest you cancel your buy, I know you'll see this.

Bummer dude!  That is one expensive 0!!
1294  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] SCRYPT 10 GH/s hosted scrypt mining project by CRYPTX - IPO 7 MAY on: May 06, 2014, 07:50:55 AM
Because this is not a mining bond but a long term project probably.

Not sure what you mean there.
1295  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] SCRYPT 10 GH/s hosted scrypt mining project by CRYPTX - IPO 7 MAY on: May 06, 2014, 01:34:57 AM
@CryptX, by my calculations the retail cost of an 86MH A2 miner from Innosilicon is around US$0.12 per KH of mining power for purchases of 10 or more units (admittedly without freight).  However, the Scrypt-X share pricing above works out to a price per KH of ~US$0.16 (at US$420/BTC), or a 33% premium.  What is the reasoning behind this difference in price?
1296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] sph-sgminer: multi-coin multi-algorithm GPU miner | added MaruCoin on: May 01, 2014, 02:13:28 AM
That looks correct to me
The reason for the small number of accepts is because x11 works on very small units if you look you will see you are doing .061 WU/m which is about .6 accepted every 10 min
I suppose some decimal points on accepted and rejected should be added

edit: also you will not show any coins earned untill the pool finds a block, so if there if the pool has a small hash rate it may take a while

Cheers mate, much appreciated!
1297  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [IPO] CoinPal - Crypto-Currency Exchange & Profit Switching Mining Pool {NEW} on: April 30, 2014, 06:31:48 AM
Ok, ill text him and tell him people want him to make an appearance. He just feels bad and knows he has let people down, so its not easy to face people (even online). Plus, Milligan and Bert (badpeanut) have been getting everyone riled up with scam accusations and its created a lot of hostility. So its not the most pleasant environment. But i promise ill pass the message along

Thanks, I appreciate it.

I understand that he is fearful of the response he will get in the forum, but people are generally reasonable, as long as they are kept updated with information.  We understand that this not a plug and play operation and there are many unpredictable pitfalls and issues to be overcome, but people are much MUCH happier when they have some understanding of the issues and causes for the delays vs a big black hole that looks more and more scam-like as time goes on.

The name of the game is communication, of both good and bad news.  I regularly manage large, multi-hour unexpected IT outages as part of my job.  We recently had an outage that took all of our clients out for half a day, but at the end of the day our clients were still happy with us because even though the issue was not resolved, we kept them regularly & frequently updated on what was happening.  Communication is how you manage bad situations where, left without any information, people are highly likely to become upset and angry.
1298  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [IPO] CoinPal - Crypto-Currency Exchange & Profit Switching Mining Pool {NEW} on: April 30, 2014, 05:50:31 AM
Its not a personal threat, its a line from the show breaking bad...its a joke. I dont want to kill young flannagan, just breaking his balls. Umm, well I told him what everyone was saying here, and informed him of Flannagans potential lawsuit. Which he responded by saying, "Its all his fault all of this is happening, I could sue him back for defamation". Which I said, "yes, you definitely could or libel". Flannagan has collected at least 10 bitcoins in dividends, and all he does is scream scam if people dont return an email.

He is making a formal announcement on cryptostocks soon, so that will probably answer a lot of questions. You can always personally email him at contact@coinpal.net i think...its listed on cryptostocks im pretty sure

Ok mate, sorry, didn't get the reference.

I understand where he's coming from with the back and forth on this forum, but honestly, if he took just 5 min to post in here most of the noise would instantly dissipate.  While he might not be the source of the noise, but he is both responsible for the source of it and is the only one who can silence it.

Yeah, I did email him a few days ago, but no response as yet.
1299  Economy / Service Announcements / I have no idea how this happened... on: April 30, 2014, 05:48:11 AM
...was posting to another thread and somehow I've created an entirely new topic!!

Spooookyyyyy!!! Cheesy

I can't seem to delete it either...
1300  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [IPO] CoinPal - Crypto-Currency Exchange & Profit Switching Mining Pool {NEW} on: April 30, 2014, 05:30:14 AM
Yeah, that is obviously completely made up. There is definitely an exchange being coded, its just delayed like a lot of things in bitcoin. You dont take a chance on security when it comes to bitcoin. He said crytostockcks hasnt answered any of his emails in a few days, and that has become a problem. Dividends will start being issued again very shortly, and he will be making an announcement explaining the delay.

Mate, could you please pass a message to Ryan G for me that he needs to make an appearance in this thread (which he started)?  I realise that this is not your job, but you are the only person in the last few weeks who has had any kind of personal contact with him.

Regardless of the reasons for his silence he is pissing everyone off and frankly he's beginning to piss me off as well (and that's saying something; I am an extremely patient man).  All we want is 5 min of his time and the courtesy of a little reassurance and updates for his shareholders.  That would be very much appreciated.

Also, I appreciate that you're getting it in the neck from all sides at the moment, but personal threats are not welcome in this thread.  Let's try to keep things civil eh?
